VA32: Volunteer in Rural Schools & Preschools in South Africa
- South Africa
About Program
VA32 are calling for international volunteers to assist in their education projects in the rural Eastern Cape of South Africa. Volunteers have the option of teaching basic computer skills in primary schools, assisting teachers in foundation phase pre-schools, acting as a teachers aid in a school for severely disadvantaged children or facilitating sports coaching sessions in primary schools. All of the schools are situated close to the beach village of Chintsa where volunteers are based.
The programs are highly structured and supported by our live-in volunteer co-ordinator who is the main point of contact for volunteers during their time on project. Our co-ordinator works closely with participants to ensure that they understand the aims and outcomes of each project, as well as working to incorporate individual passions, interests and experiences that can benefit the project and children involved.
