About Program
One of Tanzania's milestone in teaching and educational sector was the establishment of Educational Sector Development Program (ESDP). The overall goal of ESDP is a total transformation of the Educational Sector into efficient and effective outcome based education system. We need international Volunteers to help us implement this program and eventually realize our goal. There are a number of achievement that the Government has realized so far through the the help of volunteers and these include:
-Increase in number of schools, both primary and secondary
-Increase in the number of students enrolled every year
-Decrease in the number of students drop out
-Increase in female enrollment levels
However, the Government still has to tackle a number of challenges that include:
-Poor learning environment
-Shortage of teachers and equipment
-Poor quality of education

Program Impact
KIVOLEX IS committed towards helping communities within Tanzania to have the same opportunities as their developed counterparts. We sincerely believe we can achieve this at a grass roots level by having volunteers interact directly with local communities. Our hope is that our volunteers gain a better sense of their role within the global community by directly contributing their time and energy into these developing worlds. KIVOLEX staff consists of former volunteers who have enjoyed the life-changing experiences we hope you will also gain by living and working in a new country. Because our staff live locally, we are able to keep costs low and focus on local needs.
