About Program

In Tanzania, there is a problem of street children and orphans. This is caused by the death or separation of parents and finally affects children in the community. These children lack material support, and they are threatened with physical assault, with the consequences of HIV / AIDS or other diseases.

Upendo Daima, a street children center under the Catholic Archdiocese of Mwanza, this center was originally founded to address this problem and to provide the children involved with food, clothing, education, and healthcare, also to reintegrate some of the children into their families. By volunteering with us, these children will be thankful.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.

Volunteer in Orphanage and Child center

It was amazing to meet nice people. Through volunteering with Volunteers of Tanzania I had an amazimg opportunity to learn the diverse culture of Tanzanians whic is a bit different from UAE.

Their programs are well organised and they provide opportunity for volunteers to have different choices so that you can learn and experience different things. This volunteering opportunity has shaped me and I am different from before as it triggered my inner humanity. I definitely recommend Volunteers of Tanzania to you all.

Volunteer in orphanages and children centre

Firstly I was excited to see them they were special and amazing. When I arrived I found them in a small hall they were drinking tea. I greeted them and they welcomed me to join them and I agreed to do that. After finishing tea they started introducing themselves including their ages, their school, their dreams, their role models, and their personal backgrounds after that introduced myself to them.

After that, I got a chance to see where they sleep and many things including their lifestyle it was the most wonderful moment ever in my life.
