My 5 weeks in Jakarta was filled with fun, learning and new experiences. As a Marketing Intern at TORAJAMELO, I lead product shoots, shot TikTok videos and edited many graphics to be posted on Instagram and LinkedIn. I experienced many firsts - both professionally and personally - and can confidently say that I grew from this experience. Meeting new friends and learning new cultures was exciting and definitely one of the main perks of the overseas internship programme! Although I was in Jakarta for a very short time, I'm happy I got to experience living abroad independently in a safe and bustling city.

Thanks to AIP, I did my first ever overseas internship over 6 weeks in Jakarta. I was initially really nervous, but the people at AIP (Nisha, Herlyn and Kate) really made sure that I was well prepared and were always a text or call away if I needed anything. All my documents were well taken care of and I managed to enjoy the month alone worry-free. I was matched with a reliable company that truly made my experience even better. I would definitely do this again and trust AIP to help me out with everything!

Throughout the internship, AIP's support remained consistent. In the end, my AIP experience was more than just an internship—it was a chapter of personal and professional growth. Honestly, the most rewarding aspect of the program is the individuals you encounter. I had the pleasure of meeting numerous outstanding individuals and forming friendships with people from various corners of the globe.

I have completed a 4-month internship in Bali with a fintech company, where I not only worked but also attended workshops that equipped me with valuable skills. It's an excellent chance to learn, work, and immerse yourself in a new part of the world. I highly recommend it, as I had a fantastic experience. It's also a great opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded individuals who quickly become close friends. Thanks to my AIP supervisor who never made me feel unattended. She updated me even on weekends and their team would always check on me.

During my internship, I got to dive into the field I'm passionate about. I worked on handling data, creating a database, and building a model for a potential AI operating system down the line. This experience helped me pick up a bunch of technical skills, and I often had to come up with solutions for problems the company hadn't faced before. It felt like I was a valuable part of a team working on something important. It was a very cool experience and I also got to travel in Thailand and Vietnam.

My time working in Bali through the Asia Internship Program has been eye-opening. It blended my work learning with the amazing nature in Indonesia. This special chance not only helped me get better at marketing but also taught me a lot about how local culture influences the market.

I am grateful for this unique opportunity that has expanded my skill set, deepened my cultural awareness, and left me with unforgettable memories. I wholeheartedly recommend AIP to anyone seeking an internship experience that goes beyond the ordinary, establishing an ideal balance between professional responsibilities and the natural environment.

My lecturer told me that I would be able to do my internship abroad and I already knew it: I wanted to go to Asia. I wanted to live in Asia for a few months, because this culture is so different from my own and I wanted to experience that myself.

But since it is very difficult to find an internship in the field of architecture, and even harder to find one abroad, I needed a mediator. After spending some hours on Google, I decided to choose for Asia Internship Program. My main reason for choosing this company is that they provide customized internships in many countries in Asia. It was hard for me to choose one specific country, but I decided to choose Indonesia because I like the sea and I’m only on a small budget. I don’t have any regrets.

I liked my time there. It was very nice to explore the different islands of Indonesia in my free time, the food was delicious and all people were very kind to me as a foreigner. AIP found me a great company with a funny personal supervisor who trained, monitored and guided me throughout my internship. This supervisor had been working in architecture for 10 years so he was very experienced and his English was incredible for an Indonesian person.

If someone asks me if I would recommend AIP for finding you an internship, I won’t hesitate to give them a big ‘YES’. They helped me at all times, from arranging my visa, to finding accommodation, to giving me assistance 24/7. Many thanks to them for giving me the best
