About Program
Join Student-Athletes Abroad for an immersive internship designed for students eager to use their passion for sports to create positive change in local communities.
Intern part-time (20 hours/week) with a local non-profit organization aligned with your professional goals, completing weekly projects and a final capstone presentation.
Choose from three incredible destinations:
Cape Town, South Africa: Support youth in neighborhoods that are systematically deprived, keeping them away from crime through free after-school programs
Belfast, Northern Ireland: Intern with PeacePlayers NI for their biggest summer sports events, uniting two groups- Catholic and Protestants- from Northern Ireland's centuries-old conflict
San José, Costa Rica: Assist socio-economically vulnerable youth through tutoring, recreational activities, or Special Olympics sports
Weekends include group excursions and independent travel to discover your host country!
Open to athletes and non-athletes!
