Unforgettable Internship in South Korea

I’m Elena , and I interned in South Korea during the summer of 2021. My company was one of the first to start internships abroad in Asia, so I was lucky enough to be one of the pioneers in what was a very exciting new trend at the time. Although I was an international student and didn’t speak Korean, my coworkers made me feel very welcome and taught me many things about Korean culture and their country. The internship itself taught me valuable business skills and helped give me an edge over other job candidates when applying for jobs after graduation!

The Best Way to Get a Real Business Internship in South Korea

My South Korea Internship experience help me get the hands-on experience to prepare my future employment. I never had an internship before, but then I found Getting an internship is much easier than it looks; all it takes is some planning and persistence. When I looking for an internship abroad, I always keep my eyes peeled for opportunities that offer work and travel programs or student exchange programs.

I signed up for GoAbroadChina’s North America student exchange program in South Korea when I was still an undergraduate student at Georgetown University. I had no idea how business internships worked and was really nervous about getting one. It turned out that my internship search experience couldn’t have been smoother; GAC found two great companies who both extended offers for me! Before signing with either company, I interviewed for both of them and learned about their office culture as well as their expectations of me. From what I could tell, these two companies were extremely different from each other, but that just meant there would be more room for me to grow professionally and personally.
