This three-week Chinese study experience in Beijing has been an incredibly rich and engaging memory.
The school’s classrooms are spacious and bright, offering a very pleasant study environment. The school arranged hotel accommodation for me just a three-minute walk from the campus, making it very convenient to get to class. Everything one might need is available in the vicinity of the school and hotel: numerous authentic restaurants and convenience stores, as well as the beautiful Ritan Park. In my free time, I often go there to work out and take relaxing walks.
The services offered by the school are exceptionally attentive; upon my arrival, an airport transfer service was provided. Whenever I made a request, the staff always responded promptly and resolved any issues effectively. What impressed me most was that the school booked hard-to-get tickets for the Imperial Palace, the National Museum of China, and the Natural History Museum on my behalf. After learning about my personal interests, they even specially organized a visit to the Military Museum—they truly attend to every single detail with great care.
I completed the entire HSK Level 4 (Upper) course with Professor Du, and the results exceeded all my expectations. Professor Du is highly qualified, kind, and incredibly patient. She explains grammatical rules clearly and simply, making even the most complex topics easy to understand. In just three weeks, my Chinese listening and reading comprehension improved noticeably, and I gained a wealth of practical knowledge and expressions.
The days spent immersed in life in Beijing filled me with joy. This ancient capital combines a long, profound historical legacy with a vibrant, lively atmosphere; every corner offers new and fascinating sights. Living here allowed me to truly experience the charm of the Chinese language and culture.
Overall, the experience was perfect. I’ve already decided to return to Keats next summer to continue deepening my study of Chinese!

Kunming is a wonderful city to study Chinese. The pace of life is relaxed, the air feels fresh, and people are genuinely welcoming, which makes it easy to settle in and focus on learning. I had visited Kunming once last year and already felt that locals were very friendly and helpful, so coming back to study at Keats School felt like a natural choice.
Keats School has everything a student really needs in one place: good classrooms, dormitories in the same building, and convenient services like meals and cleaning. This allowed me to spend my energy on learning, not on daily logistics. The teachers are professional, patient, and experienced native speakers who explain things clearly and are quick to notice what each student needs. The support staff are kind and organized; they also arrange extra activities that help you use Chinese in real situations.
I arrived with only very basic Chinese. Now, on my last day, I can speak Chinese with my teachers for the whole lesson. The feeling of frustration from not being able to express myself gradually faded as my confidence grew. I genuinely plan to come back next summer.

I had a really good experience studying at Keats School in Kunming. One of the biggest reasons was my teacher, Su Laoshi (苏老师), who is the best Chinese teacher I’ve had. Her Putonghua is very clear and standard, and she also speaks English perfectly, so explanations were never a problem. She is professional and patient, but also very friendly and warm.

I wanted to focus especially on listening and speaking, so she adapted the lessons to give me plenty of practice in both. She is also very good at identifying exactly what is holding you back and knowing how to help you improve. On my last day, because she knew I love Chinese tea, she even accompanied me to a tea shop where I learned how to make gongfu cha. That was a really memorable way to finish my course.

The school itself is very convenient. The dorm and classrooms are in the same building, meals are provided every weekday, and my room was comfortable with my own bathroom and regular cleaning. The location is also great. Tuodong Stadium metro station is nearby, Spring City 66 is within walking distance, and I went to the Luckin Coffee across the school almost every morning.

I also really enjoyed the daily activities. My favorites included Friday restaurant trips, especially mushroom hotpot, and Thursday cultural activities like learning Chinese chess. We also visited places such as Jiuxiang Cave, Stone Forest, and Western Hills.

Kunming itself is a great city to live in, with comfortable weather, clean air, good food, and affordable prices. Overall, I’m very happy I chose Keats School and would definitely recommend it.

The learning experience at this Chinese school was truly wonderful! Teacher Du's teaching was clear, patient, and meticulous. She particularly emphasized practical daily conversation training, which helped me rapidly and confidently improve my Chinese listening and speaking skills. After class, Teacher Du would organize activities for us every afternoon. I explored Zhangjiajie deeply and immersed myself among the towering quartz peaks and swirling clouds. The scenery was truly breathtaking. I also actively used the vocabulary and sentences I learned in class to have warm, friendly conversations with local residents. I find this learning format very engaging, and I hope to join more programs that combine language lessons with outdoor exploration, blending Chinese study with real cultural experiences. For students wishing to learn authentic Chinese in China, this school is highly recommended — don't hesitate to choose Keats School!

I spent 4 weeks studying Chinese at Keats. My Chinese improved a lot and I made connections with people from all over the world. This is a great school in a great location. I was able to explore many local places such as Jianshui and Dali. The teachers are very friendly and professional; you can speak with them in a relaxed manner whilst also being able to ask them any questions you may have about your course. Throughout my time at Keats I saw all different demographics enjoying their classes - from students to retirees - everyone I met was enthusiastic and kind.

Learning mandarin in kunming is so much fun. Kunmings weather is also very great even though it rains a lot here but it is oke. Teachers also really help with learning mandarin, she makes the class fun so even though there are a lot to learn but it is fun. There are also a lot of new friends that you can make here, from other countries so we can make new friends and also we can practice speaking mandarin with locals. They also have rooms, the rooms are also amazing and comfortable. It is fun here.

It's just the perfect place for learning Chinese. Weather is fine in summer, classes are interesting, there are many activities in order to discover the town. I tried Erhu, making Chinese food and calligraphy, all these were great. Just go for it (having the accommodation in the same building is so convenaient !) People are really helpfull, though I use a wheelchair and crutches I could manage to go around the city due to the fact the Subway stations all have lifts. Keats staff, thank you all. 谢谢你们。

I studied at the Chengde campus for 5 weeks and stayed in a dorm shared with 2 roommates. The dorm was spacious and clean. The teacher was very patient, kind, and attentive. He tailored the lessons to our needs. There is a lot of great food nearby, and a canteen right near the dorm which was very convenient. The campus is near a beautiful mountain and river landscape. I would walk along the river to and from class. This made my time in Chengde a relaxing, unique experience without the big city life of Beijing, which was exactly what I was looking for.

The quality of instruction is very high. My teacher was experienced and tailored lesson plans to my personal language goals (e.g. spoken vs. written fluency, conversational vs. written language). I felt my language skills improve even after one week of classes. The Keats school was responsive to requests and helpful in arranging logistics. It was a good pace to have classes for half the day in the morning and have time to explore Nanjing in the afternoon and evening. Visiting Nanjing was fun - it's a city with a lot of cultural significance and many historical sites both ancient and modern.

I absolutely loved my experience at Keats in Chengdu.
I felt well looked after; the school tended to my dietary requirements (I'm coeliac) and I had an efficient advisor who helped if I had a problem. Everything was very well organised.
As for the learning, I had 4 hours of individual classes every day, Monday to Friday. My teacher, Amber, was super lovely, friendly and very professional. I really feel I progressed a lot with her during the month we studied together. As an experienced teacher, she was very patient, knowledgeable and able to explain things clearly. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable during the classes. They were fun and well-structured and we had a really good time while studying. She used appropriate resources and we did a lot of revising, which I found very helpful. We talked a lot about China, its culture, the customs and that gave me a fuller picture of the country, making the immersion more complete.
In my free time, I managed to do a lot of sightseeing and took part in the activities organised by Keats.
I would recommend studying with Keats, whether you are a beginner or already familiar with Chinese, and personally I intend to return.
