My study and travel experience in Chengdu was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The teacher was incredibly patient, supportive, and professional, helping me build confidence in speaking Chinese through real-life practice. Every activity (from the Panda Base to Wuhou Temple and local parks) was perfectly integrated with learning. I improved quickly while enjoying authentic culture. Truly a flawless, enriching experience I would highly recommend to anyone.

Going to Chengdu at Keat to study Chinese turned out to be much more than just a language course—it felt like stepping into a completely different rhythm of life. The campus was comfortable and welcoming, and the food quickly became part of my daily highlights, always fresh and full of variety and delicious.

The workers here are amazing.

The teaching was what truly made the difference. My instructor was incredibly supportive, always adjusting the lessons to what I needed most. Instead of rigid classes, everything felt natural and engaging, which made learning faster and less stressful.

What I appreciated most was how often we left the classroom. Practicing Chinese while visiting places like Wuhou Temple made history come alive, and spending time in People’s Park, especially in the teahouse, gave me the chance to interact with locals in a real, unfiltered way. The markets were another favorite—busy, colorful, and perfect for picking up everyday language.

Every day felt different, mixing study with exploration in a way that never got tiring. By the end, I didn’t just feel like I had improved my Chinese—I felt more confident, more curious, and genuinely connected to the city. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave.

Going to Chengdu to study Chinese and travel was a very positive experience. I was fortunate to find a patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging teacher, capable of adapting lessons to my learning difficulties. Studying in the city's most beautiful places, such as the Panda Park, the Wuhou Temple, and the Heming Teahouse, made learning more natural and effective. Chengdu impressed me with its beauty, culture, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent organization. A truly educational and enjoyable trip.

This study trip to Chengdu has been one of the most enriching and unforgettable experiences of my life. From the very beginning, everything felt special: the atmosphere of the city, the balance between tradition and modernity, and the incredible opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in Chinese culture. Every place we visited added something unique to our journey, making it not just a trip, but a true learning experience that will stay with me for a long time.

One of the highlights was definitely the visit to the Temple of Marquis, a place full of history and meaning, where we could really feel connected to ancient China. Walking through Jinli Ancient Street right after was like stepping into another era, surrounded by traditional architecture, local food, and vibrant shops. The energy there was amazing, and it gave us a real sense of daily life in historical times.

People’s Park offered a completely different perspective. It was calm, authentic, and full of local life. Seeing people relaxing, playing games, and enjoying tea helped us understand the slower and more social side of Chengdu. In contrast, the Broad and Narrow Alleys were lively and full of character, blending tradition with modern influences in a really fascinating way. The Chengdu Museum also played an important role in our experience, allowing us to better understand the history, art, and evolution of the region through well-organized and engaging exhibitions.

One of the most memorable moments of the trip so far has been attending the Sichuan Opera. It was absolutely mesmerizing, with incredible performances, colorful costumes, and the famous face-changing technique that left us all amazed. It is definitely a highlight that I will always remember.

Even though we have already experienced so much, there are still many exciting visits ahead of us, including the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda, the ancient irrigation system, the Du Fu Thatched Cottage, and the excursion to Leshan. I am really looking forward to discovering these places, especially seeing the giant pandas and the famous Giant Buddha, which I am sure will make this journey even more incredible.

Overall, this study trip is already proving to be the perfect combination of education, cultural discovery, and personal growth. It is allowing us to learn in a completely different way, outside the classroom, through direct experience. Every moment so far has been meaningful, and I am excited for everything that is still to come. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone, because it is not just a trip, but something that truly broadens your perspective and creates lasting memories.

Everything was excellent—I really enjoyed my two weeks at KEATS Kunming. The teachers, staff, accommodation, classrooms, and food were all of a very high standard, and I learned a lot in a short time. What I appreciated most was the balance between structured studying, a strong sense of community, and enough free time to explore. I also really enjoyed the outdoor learning sessions with teachers, which made the experience more dynamic and engaging. Overall, it was a highly rewarding and memorable experience.

I had a lovely two weeks with Keats in Kunming. Such a well organised school for Mandarin would-be speakers of all ages. At the airport a driver whisks you off to Keats where within one building you have accommodation, tuition and meals.

I choose one-on-one classes and had two lovely young ladies - Ms Pi and Ms Su - holding my hand as I tried to navigate my way through grammar, pronunciation, recalling words, etc. They were encouraging and enthusiastic and tailor-made the lessons to suit my rather low levels 😂. Keats was very accommodating when I found the six hours-a-day I had signed up for a bit much and let me switch to the four hour-a-day option. The hours not used will be held in credit for when I return. A big shout-out to my teachers who noticed me battling with the glare from outside when in the tuition room, and subsequently had lace curtains installed.

The school is well located near downtown Kunming and on all cultural activities we were accompanied by a local who made sure we could catch the Metro, etc. No matter your age, there were like-minded students to befriend and my only regret is that I only booked for two weeks! I'll be back.

È la terza scuola che provo in Cina e senza dubbio è quella dove mi sono trovata meglio! Le insegnanti hanno un metodo che ho trovato molto utile e il fatto che organizzino tutti i giorni una attività, la differenzia dalla maggior parte delle scuole che vedo in giro!

C'è la serata cinema ( mi hanno fatto conoscere un bellissimo film), la serata dove si va a cena in un posto caratteristico, una serata dedicata a un bel giro alla conoscenza delle vie con street food e vie centrali, c' è la serata sport (io ho giocato a ping pong, uno spasso) , la serata culturale: a noi hanno insegnato l'arte del dipinto cinese usando il pennello in modo particolare, un giorno al museo, un giorno in un bellissimo parco e gite fuori porta.

Mi sono sentita molto ben accolta. Una gestione ottima di tutto.

This is the third school I've tried in China, and it's definitely the one I've had the best time with! The teachers have a method I've found very useful, and the fact that they organize an activity every day sets them apart from most schools I see around!

There's movie night (they introduced me to a great film), dinner night at a quaint restaurant, an evening dedicated to a nice stroll around the streets with street food and the main streets, sports night (I played ping pong, which was fun), cultural night: they taught us the art of Chinese painting, using a special brush, a day at the museum, a day in a beautiful park, and trips out of town.

I felt very welcome. Everything was excellently managed.

My experience at Keats School in Chengdu, China, was truly wonderful. It was my first time studying abroad, and I immediately felt at home, like part of a big family. The environment was very welcoming, friendly, and supportive, which made it easy to settle in and enjoy every moment.
