I would definitely go with them again, and recommend their reliable and welcoming services to anyone thinking about volunteering.

I had some specific goals in mind when I started looking for volunteering abroad. I wanted not just to help out, I also wanted to make a contribution to society and learn something as well. Therefore, it took me quite some time to find the organisation that met my needs but when I found UBELONG I was convinced right away. Afterwards, I can say it was the best decision I ever made!

As an educator, I've always wanted to make my time off in the summertime meaningful. For as long as I can recall, I've wanted to teach abroad or volunteer and give back to a community. I spent a lot of time researching different volunteer organizations, but had difficulty finding one that was affordable, organized, and reputable. Through word-of-mouth, I discovered UBELONG. The application was straightforward, the programs were diverse and located nationwide, and it was extremely organized--on paper and in person. I definitely will volunteer with UBELONG again and look forward to trying out new projects and locations.

UBELONG is a great program as it provides those who truly want to make a difference abroad with the tools to do that. The preparation materials, and in country support, along with the low program fee and bottom up philosophy, combines to make them one of the best international volunteer organizations out there.

UBELONG is the best international volunteer organization I have looked into. Their programs are affordable and very well organized. UBELONG partners with a great placement organization in Morocco who provided me with a wonderful host family and project. I learned so much during the six weeks I was living and working in Rabat; it is truly an experience I will never forget.

With the UBELONG project there was always been active communication to ensure that my experience was one of enjoyment, worth and comfort even after the project finished. The in-country team were always so attentive and approachable should you need to discuss anything - be it project related or just a casual conversation - in a way that gave you the space and security to really explore opportunities of your new environment yourself. The project itself along with living and working with surprisingly (or not so) like minded volunteers is really indescribable without using those cliched 'travel terms' like "phenomenal", "brilliant" and "incredible" - except that they really do describe the experience i had with UBELONG.

I joined the Ubelong volunteer program to Mexico this summer. The people I met there are extremely nice and friendly especially the local community leaders Martina and Leo. The are the nicest people I have ever seen. There is nothing I can complain.

My experience with UBELONG in Laos was great! They organize enough but not too much, leaving you some liberty to make your own experience. This also means taking initiative and asking the right questions to the local staff is important. I would without any doubt consider working with UBELONG again and recommend it to people who want to experience another culture first hand!

UBELONG was a great program to go through. This was my first time abroad outside the US, so you could imagine my hesitance, worry, and confusion. Beyond all that, my mentor was patient with my many questions and constant emails. UBELONG also had a great online community, especially the Facebook Page, which shared photos and experiences of other volunteers. The program helped to set me up with a project that related to my professional work and background, with I appreciated. I would definitely recommend UBELONG and already have to other colleagues and fellow students who desire a volunteer abroad experience.

UBELONG enables volunteers to engage in meaningful projects in areas such as Human Rights, Microfinance and NGO work in countries all over the world. UBELONG has a well deserved reputation of attracting extremely talented young people from all over the world. It offers great service with a mentor assigned to you that is always available. All at considerably lower prices compared to others organizations which it makes it seem as if money is used with purpose.
