I overcame my fears

I was already in contact with Meiji Internships last year but I was still hesitating about finalising my program because I wasn't sure I would be confident enough to go abroad on my own. I have never travelled alone so I was lost about my decision. I was so happy and relieved to see that the virtual internship was an option now, giving me the chance to have a peak at life abroad. In Bavaria right now, we can't really go out much, so it's great to have something to do that feels valuable. It kept me busy and positive, and I got many valuable skills. As I had plenty of time, it was the perfect timing for this virtual internship!
Now that I know my Japanese company and that I have friends and colleagues in Japan, I feel 100% confident to go there once everything has calmed down.
One of the biggest advantages of Meiji Internships was the coaching session. It really helped me gain confidence for the interview and the internship. This virtual internship was revolutionary! Last year, I was still hesitating about doing my internship and I was stressing out about meeting with Japanese people, but this experience changed my life and helped me overcome my fears! ^^

Amazing online internship

I am studying design which I am passionate about since high school and I think that a virtual internship is a chance to learn from talented professionals and to have a nice asset on my CV. I am interested in working remotely as a digital nomad in the future, because I want to travel the world while being able to have a job. So it was a great chance to see what it could be like to work remotely. I really enjoyed my experience and it convinced me that the digital world is amazing and is the best chance to go wherever I want without being worried about getting a proper salary. The company that Meiji Intenships found me was from Taiwan. That's a country I have never been to, but I loved working with Taiwanese people. They welcomed me in their team and helped me enhancing my skills in digital design.

Amazing staff and wonderful experience

Everything was perfect in terms of housing, trips, learning... the wonderful staff was always around to give advice and organize fun events. I felt that they were doing their job with passion because they wanted to help me have an amazing experience. I consider my experience life-changing. I grew up as a person and got a great sense of responsabilities. Doing an internship helped me in my professional and personal development and it was a good break from school. I could learn about tourism while visiting and experiencing living abroad. South Korea is a fantastic country with incredibly nice people. I chose this country because I love asian culture and I hope I can find a job related to tourism in Asia after my studies

Virtual is the future!

These days, the whole world is becoming virtual and it's important to get a good grip of the internet. I did an internship with a Chinese company which was really interesting. I don't speak a word of Chinese, but the people I worked with were speaking in English with one another anyways and there were two Americans and one German guy in the team. Everyone was really gentle and kind with me. We mostly used What's App to communicate and my superior always made sure to call me 3-5 times per week to check on my progress and answer my questions. My virtual internship was an amazing opportunity. I had a great experience and made valuable contacts in China!

Best abroad internship ever!

The abroad internship provided me not only with the opportunity to learn the operation processes and challenges in the field of marketing & pr, but also gave me the chance to develop my own creativity to a whole new level. Since i am working on tasks in the field of copywriting and SEO by creating content with purpose of distribution and websites i complemented that with different photography fields as new hobby.

Japan is popular for its modern pop culture, reaching from traditional paintings to mangas and animes. The city scape offers beside a beautiful skyline, a very vibrant composition of architectural patterns, forms and structures. At night, when the sun sets and the street, traffic and advertisement lights go on the city changes its face into a "Blade Runner" like scene.
The seemingly scenic mountains sourounding the city on one side with the gorgeous beaches on the other offer many inspirational moments!

Everyone who wishes to develop their creativity and find inspiration should want to travel to Fukuoka!

Gaining great skills from home

Half way through my remote internship but still enjoying it to the MAX! I didn't know it was possible until Meiji told me about their new program, but it was actually the perfect match for me! I need some work exprience in business and consulting but as my mother is very sick, I wanted to stay with her and take care of her at home. I went to Japan a couple of times already and I love their culture so I am really happy to be able to work alongside Japanese people! Working from home is not so different than going to an office. It is actually quite nice and reassuring to be in a familiar environment, with my family. Besides the business skills, I am learning a lot about the internet, about how to use certain softwares and I am gaining great skills that will be usefull for any kind of job in the future! Thank you Meiji Internships for your dedication!

Doing an internship in Japan was crazy!!

Japan is the perfect country to get proper work experience. I did my internship in a lovely company in Osaka and worked in marketing and business. It provided me with good opportunities to learn about my industry and about Japanese language and Japanese culture. I chose the business package because I was interested in Meiji's online language classes. I think it was the best timing to learn Japanese while living and working in the country! The classes were really useful and productive. I would recommend it of you want to learn Japanese efficiently.
Meiji Internships organized amazing meetings and trips every week. My best memory was the Universal Studio excursion. We had so much fun there!
I would do it all over again without hesitation as my experience was really positive.

Incredible meetings and experience

I had such a wonderful time in Tokyo. I am so grateful for the incredible people I met there and the fantastic experience I had with them. I made friends for life during this internship. We had so much fun exploring the city and other areas during our time off!
My placement was perfect for me. I worked with great people from all over the world. I really appreciated that my team was international (Mostly Japanese, Americans, and Germans) because I could work on my Japanese while not being lost in translation! The staff of meiji helped me with everything regarding the apartment, the internet access etc. I had the best time of my life and before I realized it, my internship was already finished and I had to go back home.

Fantastic solution for every situation!

I was supposed to do my internship in South Korea but because of the coronavirus, it seemed impossible... until Meiji Internships offered me to do a virtual internship! At first, I was a bit reluctant, thinking it would be easier to just postpone it. But as we don't know how things will go and when I might be able to go, I accepted to give it a try. I am so happy that I did it! I think I am one of the first applicants to give virtual experience a shot, so it was extra exciting to embark on this adventure! I started two weeks ago and I am still participating in my design and marketing internship now while attending my online uni classes. So my internship is an exciting break from my daily routine.
I have to say that I am having a lot of fun and I don't have any regrets! I am flexible in terms of working hours which is a bliss. My coworkers are so sweet and supportive. We have skype calls on a daily basis and even though I am not in Korea, it feels like it haha! Doing marketing virtually is not a problem at all, it's even easier than I thought it would be, as everything is linked to the internet these days. I am thankful to Meiji Internships for offering such an opportunity which was way more efficient than postponing my internship.

The best internship I have ever done!

My experience in Tokyo was one of a kind. I had the most positive and fun work experience of my life! And I can compare it because it wasn't my first internship, even though it was the first one in a foreign country. My coworkers were so kind and they welcomed me as a family member. We had a few dinners together, the first one was the week of my arrival: they organized a kind of welcome party for me at a restaurant! I was a bit worried that interning abroad would be hard, and I didn't know what to expect from Japanese people as their culture had nothing to do with mine, but I was so surprised in a good way. This experience clearly changed my life! I gained so many skills while enjoying Japan and creating unforgettable memories.

I just gotta talk bout Meiji Internships as well: they were so competent and professional. I never felt lost or anything thanks to their great service. Interning abroad can be complicated when you are not used to it, but they made the process easy and enjoyable!
