Unforgettable and wholesome adventure

I did a filming internship in Hong Kong which was awesome. My coworkers were so fun and talented, I hope I will be able to become as talented as they are and become a great producer. Living in a foreign country far away from home was so exciting! I wasn't left alone as Meiji staff was there and available at any time. They helped me make friends with the other interns and the locals so that I never felt completely on my own. My accommodation was comfortable and located in a nice area. I chose a sharehouse and I got along with everyone. My internship experience was wonderful and I came back as a different person. I enjoyed my job and gained an amazing work experience that boosted my resume and changed my life. It was clearly the greatest two months of my life!

Spontaneous but best decision!

Doing this internship was quite a spontaneous decision. I have always wanted to go to South Korea, but I wasn't planning on going that soon! When I was looking for an internship, I found out Meiji and I was like "Nah, I can do it in Germany..." but my mum encouraged me to apply so that's what I did and... I went to South Korea haha! I have never seen such a beautiful place. When I arrived to Seoul I was overwhelmed by this incredible city! I had a good time socializing with the other interns of the program and visiting Korea. My internship was really rewarding. I had a lot of fun and interest in working with my co-workers and I learned a great deal about international marketing. I sometimes felt pushed out of my comfort zone, but those were precisely the moments I remember the most and from which I learned the most.

Business Deals in Fukuoka

While looking at different options for my internship, I went through the website of Meiji Internships. I liked the fact that they were offering internships not only in Tokyo but everywhere in Japan. I went to Tokyo before and I wanted to visit a new region in Japan. Fukuoka was awesome! I don't think I will ever get used to Japan's beauty. I was overwhelmed by everything I saw in Fukuoka. I am glad that I could discover Japanese culture in this city and become friends with Japanese people. I did a business development internship and learnt a lot from my colleagues. They told me that Fukuoka was a great place to start a business these days!
Traveling to Japan alone was a bit intimidating, but Meiji Internships helped a lot through the Skype consultation, the online guide and the onsite staff that was incredibly amazing and provided 24 hours support. Now the best advice I can give to someone who is interested in this programme is to be yourself and enjoy every second of it!

Design internship

I couldn't be happier with how much I've learnt about graphic design. I admit that in the beginning, it was hard for me to accept criticism on my designs. But once I realised it was actually constructive feedback and that it was the reason why an internship was so important, I started to accept my colleagues' feedbacks and improved my skills tremendously. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity to chase my dreams in Asia. Meiji Internships was a great choice, the onsite staff was wonderful and the cultural activities were really fun and interesting. I enjoyed every minute of this inspiring adventure in Vietnam. In addition to the progress, I gained a deep understanding of Vietnamese culture and traditions. I opened my mind on how every culture can be different but beautiful!

Gaining skills and confidence

My supervisors trusted me from day one and it motivated me to give my best at work. I learned a lot about marketing, but also group work, Chinese, and also about myself. I found out that the only limits I had were the ones I set unconsciously, and that I just have to remove them to be able to do great things. Once I worked on that, I was able to handle projects on my own while two months ago, I thought I would never be a manager. This internship allowed me to have bigger dreams and ambitions.
Hong Kong was a great destination. Exploring HK and living there was such a wonderful experience. I have memories that will stay with me forever. I could understand the history of this unique region and meet amazing people through the program

Nothing to worry about

I appreciated that Meiji Internships sent a welcome package by email with some practical information about Taipei and Taiwan in general. I was warmly welcomed by the staff when I arrived and I was guided to my apartment. Honestly, I was a bit scared because it was the first time for me to travel alone, but the staff was so caring and cheering that I had no choice but to have a light heart.
The first day of my internship arrived, and I was super nervous on the way to my workplace. I was intimidated by the cultural difference and the language barriers I might be confronted with. However, everything went remarkably well. My colleagues were very kind and pleased to meet me. I had a brilliant time in Taipei and in this company. I learnt a lot and had an extraordinarily fulfilling experience.

Interesting business internship

I am studying international business at uni. I am interested in entrepreneurship and developing my own business. My goal with this internship was to learn from people who already succeed in their field. It's great to try by yourself, make mistakes and then learn from it, but I think it's even better to save time and invest in yourself. I took a lot of notes, asked a multitude of questions and tried my best to understand how a business works and how to succeed. My boss became my mentor and I am very grateful for everything he taught me. Even though everyone worked hard at the office, the atmosphere was friendly and it was a pleasure to go to work every morning.
Séoul is a really big city with plenty of activities to do and good restaurants to go to. Korean people are nice and welcoming, even in such a big city. (They have nothing to do with Parisians ahah)
Korea is quite cold in winter so you should bring warm clothes. And above all, come with an open mind!

What an eye-opening internship

I chose to do an internship in Japan for the sake of cultural differences and new experiences. I didn't know much about Japanese culture and language upon arrival but I was truly happy to learn more about this interesting country. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of this city, by the many temples and sanctuaries hidden between two moderns buildings and by the quality of services.
I learnt a lot about myself and about what I want to do in life. I relished working in a marketing company and now consider taking a class at uni to learn more about it. This whole adventure would not have been possible without meiji internships. They advised me on many things because I wasn't sure what kind of internship I needed. I told them that I had plenty of time, but not too many skills. My goal was to learn new things & find my path through this internship. The girl with whom I spoke on skype was so kind and really helped me to find a good internship.

A very valuable experience

Meiji Internships is a good agency, I think I made the right choice embarking with them. My first impression during a Skype consulting was nice so I decided to keep going with them. They help their participants a lot, they offer different services depending on what you need (if you don't feel confident in finding your own apartment, they can find it for you for example), and are very responsive. The host company they found for me was a very good match. The CEO was young (I didn't ask, but around 30 I think) and was easy to talk with. He was always checking how I was doing and always repeating "If you need something, just ask ok?" haha he was really nice! I built up significant skills and knowledge in business development and also in Chinese which is very advantageous for my future career. As well as the business connections that I have made in Singapore!
What else can I say? Don't forget to have fun, an internship abroad is a fantastic opportunity for sightseeing and spending a good time traveling!

Growing up as a young professional and enjoying Vietnam

This is the main difference between going to school and doing an internship : taking on more responsibility and gaining skills quickly. At school, everything is very slow. You study, you try to do something by yourself, show it to your teacher, wait for the feedback... The teachers cannot be focused on each student 24 hours a day. However when you do an internship, you are alone or with only a few other interns and you can make progress much more quickly. Your team is giving you support right away and you are forced to make a lot of progress! It was really a good experience for me to have an entire team to support me and help me with my tasks. It was my first working experience and I would do it all over again!
It gave me the professional experience I needed all while spending a few months in a country that I was craving to discover. I enjoyed a lot looking for fun things to do in Vietnam and exploring this amazing country.
