I decided to join XMandarin’s group classes to take a gap year before starting university next year. Their service, excellent support, and engaging group learning environment convinced me to study Mandarin in Chengdu.

I arrived in China just over two months ago, and it has been the most incredible experience of my life! The food, the culture, and especially the people in Chengdu are amazing. Even in this short time, I can already feel that I’ve made great progress with my Mandarin skills and gained confidence.

I also really enjoy joining the events that XMandarin hosts every month, they really teach me about the local Chengdu Culture!

I have been working at a Chinese logistics company in Qingdao for the past few months, and I started private business Chinese classes at XMandarin to improve my communication at work.

At first, I wasn’t sure if I really needed lessons, my coworkers mostly speak some English, but once meetings and emails got more serious, I realized how important it is to understand the language and business culture here. XMandarin really helped me with that.

The lessons were focused on what I actually needed: common phrases for meetings, polite ways to disagree or make suggestions, and how to write short formal messages in Chinese. My teacher also explained cultural things like how hierarchy works in communication, or what kind of tone is expected in different situations. That was super helpful.

We met twice a week, and the schedule was flexible around my work hours. The materials were good, but what really helped was that the teacher made the class feel relevant, we even practiced with real examples from my emails or work conversations.

After a couple of months, I definitely feel more confident in meetings, and I can follow more of what’s going on. Still a long way to go, but this was a good investment. Before coming to China, I was really stressed about the visa process. It’s not super clear when you’re trying to figure it out from Europe, and everything online seems complicated or outdated. Luckily, the XMandarin team was super helpful from the beginning. They explained everything clearly, told me exactly what documents I needed, and were really patient when I had questions (which was a lot haha). They helped organize the invitation letter and supported me through the application. Once I arrived in Qingdao, they also helped with the residence registration and local formalities, which can be a bit overwhelming if you’re alone in a new country where they barely speak English. If you’re planning to do an internship or study Chinese and you need visa help, I’d definitely recommend reaching out to them. It’s not a magic solution, but they do make the whole process way smoother.

I am currently working in Chengdu for a Chinese company, outside of work I wanted to improve my mandarin related to Business. I am taking the Business Chinese Courses at XMandarin Chengdu and I have no regret with my decision. My teacher is very good and has helped me a lot. Really happy with the overall learning experience. They also taught me about Chinese Business etiquette, which I can use while doing business in China. I would strongly recommend XMandarin Chengdu for learning Mandarin or even Business Chinese!

I had a fantastic experience with the XMandarin Visa Program. The staff made the entire visa process smooth and stress-free, and their support was excellent from start to finish. I can't say enough good things about Teacher Sharon at XMandarin Chengdu. I had always struggled with learning Mandarin, even living in China didn’t seem to make a big difference. But once I started taking private lessons with Sharon at XMandarin Chengdu.

Her teaching style is engaging, clear, and incredibly patient. Every class is structured, but still fun and full of real-life practice. I actually look forward to each session!

Over the past couple of months, I’ve made a lot of progress. My confidence in speaking has also improved dramatically, and I’m finally having real conversations in Chinese.

I came to China through the visa program with XMandarin, and overall, the process was pretty smooth. They helped me get all the documents I needed ahead of time, like the internship invitation letter and guidance on what to submit to the Chinese embassy. It definitely made things less stressful, especially since it was my first time dealing with a Chinese visa. What I appreciated most was how responsive the staff were. Anytime I had questions (and I had a lot), they replied quickly and walked me through everything step by step. It’s not a 100% hand-holding experience you still have to go to your local Chinese consulate and sort things on your end but they give you the materials and direction to make sure it all works out. Once I arrived in China, they also helped with the residence registration and explained how to stay compliant with local regulations. That part was really helpful because it can be confusing at first.

I’ve been taking private classes at XMandarin while working in Qingdao, and honestly, it’s been a great experience. I came in with some basic Mandarin skills, but I really wanted to get more confident speaking and understanding everyday Chinese and the private classes helped me do exactly that. My teacher was super friendly and patient. She took the time to understand what I wanted to work on, and every lesson felt really personal. Sometimes we’d focus on grammar or vocabulary from the textbook, but other times we’d just chat about life in China or cultural stuff, which made it way more interesting and relevant. One of the best parts was how flexible everything was. If my schedule changed because of work, it wasn’t a big deal they were always understanding and helped me move my class time. Plus, the location is super convenient, and the vibe at the school is really relaxed. Everyone there is friendly and speaks good English, so it never felt intimidating. Overall, I’ve learned a lot and actually looked forward to the lessons (which says a lot when it comes to language classes!

If you are looking to study Chinese in China, XMandarin Chengdu is the school to choose! I choose to study in Chengdu because of the rich history and delicious food.

The teaching quality is outstanding. The teachers are not only knowledgeable and professional, but they’re also incredibly friendly and patient. They really take the time to understand each student’s learning style and goals. I’ve been taking both private and group lessons, and both formats have been super effective in their own ways.

The XMandarin Chengdu campus is located in a great area of the city, with lots of cafés and places to explore nearby. It was easy to reach by subway, bicycle or taxi.

They organize regular cultural events, like Sichuan opera nights, Chinese art workshops, city tours, and tea ceremonies, which have added so much depth to my learning and made my time here incredibly enriching. It’s a great way to meet people too!

They also helped me with everyday things like SIM cards, metro cards, and even finding local spots to eat. It really made the transition to living in Chengdu easier and more enjoyable.

Overall an amazing experience!
