When I was first offered to go on a trip with Travel For Teens I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it so much because I was going to be the oldest person on the trip, but I'm am so glad I decided to go. I chose to go on the Hawaii Sea Turtle Service & Adventure trip and it was absolutely amazing. It has always been one of my dreams to go to Hawaii and Travel For Teens made my dream come true. On the trip I was able to try scuba diving for the first time and I loved it! I also got to swim with sea turtles which was fantastic. One of the coolest things about the trip was getting to learn more about sea turtles and how we can help them survive in the wild. The staff was amazing and were great to hang out with and talk to. Travel For Teens Helped me face my fears and learn that there is a beautiful world out there. I would recommend Travel For teens to anyone that is trying to give there child the trip of a lifetime.

This trip to Italy was such an amazing time. From swimming in the Mediterranean Ocean for the first time, to eating true Italian cuisine, this was such a great trip. I saw and experienced a whole different culture from mine. Modes of transportation, housing and the food were all different from what I was used to. I got to see the magnificent, old ruins of the ancient city Pompeii, and explore the cities of Positano, Amalfi, and Capri. I got to eat true Italian gelatto and make and paint my own ceramics. I loved swimming in the water on the pebble beach looking at the volcano in the distant. I learned more skills on working with peers and in a group to figure out the best way to complete tasks and time management. Also, I met some really cool people! I cannot wait to go back to Italy again one day.

I went on the Australia and New Zealand Service trip and it was life changing. I met some amazing people, which I became close with after about a day. I saw some of the most beautiful landscapes that I have ever seen. I visited the place where my favorite movie, The Lord of the Rings, was filmed and I was blown away with the beauty of it. I held a koala, fed and petted wallabies and went glamping in the outback. I interacted with the locals and most importantly, I ventured out of my comfort zone, which makes for a more interesting adventure. The counselors were amazing and helpful and despite the age difference, no one ran out of things to talk about. TFT allowed me to experience something amazing and at such a young age, I was able to travel to a whole different world.

This trip to Greece was my first time traveling with TFT and easily one of the best experiences of my entire life. I learned so much more about myself, traveling, and other cultures over those two weeks than I ever expected to. I did not know anyone on my trip before meeting up at the airport and ended the trip with best friends that I continue to talk to every single day (over three years later), and that I even coordinated TFT trips with the following summer. I got to try tons of new foods, go SCUBA diving for the first time, and explore ancient Greek history in person. This trip gave me the confidence and desire to travel more and take every opportunity given to me. I hold so many special memories from this trip and could not recommend TFT and Greece more!

Going to Thailand was an experience I will never forget. I traveled with a couple friends I had met on a previous TFT trip, which was awesome! TFT gave me the opportunity to experience things I probably never could have if I had traveled on my own, like doing community service with elephants! Through doing community service, exploring Thai markets, and island hopping I was able to experience many different aspects of the country. I happened to get sick for a few days near the end of my trip, but my TFT counselors made sure to take great care of me and help me in any way they could. I definitely felt a little out of my comfort zone camping in the jungles of Thailand, but it was a learning experience that I will value forever! I had so much fun traveling with TFT!

This past summer, at fourteen years old, I had the opportunity to travel to Italy with 13 other strangers. In any case, this sounds a bit odd, but I can honestly say now, that this trip was life changing.
Every day felt like a new adventure. Our trip leader Hunt kept us in a bit of mystery the whole time, which in hindsight, was the best way to conduct the trip. On our travels, I saw the most once-in-a-lifetime places, including the Vatican, the Colosseum, David’s Statue, and my favorite, the Tuscan town, Montalcino. The views were breathtaking. We did things like riding in a gondola in Venice, and wine tasting in Montalcino, to even swimming in the salty Mediterranean Sea at Cinque Terre. On our own, we even found some secret passage ways to squeeze through and explore little hidden-gem neighborhoods. I took lots of interesting photos.
But most importantly, along the way to these amazing places, I met the most amazing friends. We danced in our hotel rooms, and ate breakfast together every morning. There was never a dull moment.
I feel like I came back from this trip with a whole different mindset. I was visibly a more energetic and bubbly person. The world seemed a little bit brighter. My counselors had the most positive outlook that I now aspire to possess. Travel For Teens is my gateway to seeing the world, and this trip was well beyond worth it.

Ciao Italy for Younger Teens

This past summer, I had the ability to travel with Travel for Teens to the beautiful countries and cities of Prague, Vienna, Slovenia and Croatia. The experiences I had while on this trip is one I will never forget. From meeting friends that will last a lifetime to seeing sights unimaginable, my entire trip was beyond amazing. From a biking tour through the beautiful city of Prague, to seeing breathtaking castles in Vienna, and swimming in the clearest water in Slovenia, the adventures and sights I saw while on this trip were ones that will forever be some of the most beautiful places I have seen. The counselors were great in helping us learn about the culture and making us feel like travelers, not tourists. I wish I could do this trip again.

My trip with Travel for Teens to Amsterdam, Munich, Switzerland and Venice was one I’ll remember for my entire life. The people I meet and the places I saw were ones that will stay with me my entire life. From seeing the city of Amsterdam while floating down the canals to canyoning through the Swiss Alps, we saw beautiful sights in adventurous and fun ways. We strolled the streets of Venice and engaged ourselves in the italian cuisine, and in Germany explored the Bavarian alps while bike riding. The program and counselors were supportive and knew what they were doing, and always made sure we were having fun and always in a good mood.

Sorrento and Amalfi coast is a really fun fast paced trip! This trip shows you all of Sorrento and the town. You get to experience Italy in a short amount of time. In this trip you get to go on a gorgeous boat ride where the view is unimaginable. You also get to learn about the interesting history of Pompeii and after you’ll be able to roam the streets of Naples!It was such a fun time!!

Sicily Service and Adventure was a amazing mix of fun and service. While your there a phenomenal Sicilian family opens there home to you. They treat you like one of there own and they show you everything they do everyday. You even get to help them do some of there everyday tasks like making food, cleaning and working on little projects! One of the best things you get to do on this trip is bond with the great family they have, all the kids are so adorable and very sweet. This trip really puts you in the life of a Sicilian! Defiantly on of the most amazing trips!!
