I have always wanted a change of career and got the chance by completing the course. Everything was over my expectations, I would recommend to anyone who also wants to make the course.
I was a bit insecure about my capacity of teaching but as the course went by I noticed that with the right focus and learning there is nothing to fear about, I can use my personality to help me teach students the way I am and also let them be confident with their skills while they are learning a new language online or offline.

I graduated with a major in secondary education in English but did not ever use my degree. Here I am several years later needing a source of income in a different country and this is the best fit for me. The course was super easy and enlightening. There was so much information that I did not either remember or know. I love English and grammar so what better way to share my love for it than to teach. This program is allowing me to work from home after my family and I had to move out of the US. I will be able to hopefully provide financially for my family, as well as learn about foreign cultures and peoples. I am finally getting out of my bubble.

I genuinely appreciated the directness of this course and the way each topic is presented with clarity and purpose, without unnecessary complexity or ambiguity. The recommendations and instructions feel practical and grounded in real classroom experience rather than abstract theory, which makes them easy to understand and apply in real teaching situations. Because of this practical orientation, I would confidently recommend the course to all new ESL teachers who want clear guidance they can trust. My only suggestion concerns the structure of the lessons. While the content itself is strong and valuable, the material would be much easier to follow and revisit if more information were organised into bullet points instead of longer paragraphs. A more segmented format would improve readability, support quick review, and help learners identify key ideas more efficiently.

The time spent studying this TEFL course was totally worth it. The lessons were clear and straight to the point with adequate examples. The examples were very practical, engaging, and they made the concepts that seemed complex easy to understand. I learnt new strategies through real classroom examples and lots of hands-on activities, which I can add to my list. I also liked that tutors were available to provide clarification via chat. Useful not only for teaching but as life-skills too. May have stumbled upon a career path I would not have thought initially, but the more I learn, the more eager and enthusiastic I become thinking of the potential of teaching English, possibly even in another country in a few years from now.

I stuck with the information given at the beginning of the course relating to how many modules you should be focussing on and the length of time spent learning the material.

Honestly, the 120-hour course at World TESOL Academy is a lifesaver if you need an accredited certificate without breaking the bank. The interface is super intuitive, and the modules break down complex grammar and phonics into stuff that actually makes sense. It’s perfect for getting your foot in the door for online tutoring or moving abroad. It doesn’t have a practice teaching component, which is the only real downside, but for the price and the speed, you really can’t beat it as a solid starting point for your teaching career.
