The most defining experience at AUC

As an international student, I feel proud for having chosen AUC to pursue my undergraduate degree abroad. AUC is very rich, both culturally and academically. I was amazed by its palpable sense of community, its architectural splendour and most importantly, the rigorousness of its academic program. Here at AUC, you can meet a myriad of nationalities, learn about cultures without even having to move. Learning about each other's stories is very inspiring, and it's as if you wandered the world. if you're looking to study in a dense cultural hub, AUC would be your ideal destination.

What was your funniest moment?
Learning to adapt to the host community's dialect.

Semester Abroad at AUC

Right before coming to AUC I did not know what to expect. I've heard so much about Egypt since I was little that I did not know what studying abroad here would be like, and I've come to realiza that this is one of the best decisions I've made. The University is great, full of very smart, diverse and open-minded students that are very welcoming. The body of faculty and staff is great and very helpful, and Egypt and its people is something that needs to be experienced at leat once in a lifetime. I recommend everyone to come here if given the chance, you won't regret it!

Study Abroad Experience AUC

In my own opinion, this experience has been incredible. From the beginning the university has helped me with everything, both resources and useful tools on an educational and social level. I am really enjoying my stay here both academically and socially. I would like that everyone could share this experience and be able to acquire these experiences and knowledge that we are fortunate to experience.
I would like to stay for the next semester in order to increase my own academic skills and social routines with such different and diverse cultures. Very grateful for the people I am meeting and discovering.

What was your funniest moment?
Any trip downtown where we have been able to discover how to interact with the local culture, businesses and ways of interacting with foreigners and locals. Many ways to socialize and interact with a diversity of people.

Study abroad experience at AUC

My experience at AUC is being amazing so far! Cairo is a vibrant city to live in and the university makes everything easier. Housing is great, there is a wide variety of courses and the teaching and ambience of classes is fantastic.
The campus feels very safe and we haven't had any security concerns.

The arabic language program is also a very good addition to the experience. It is very well designed and accomodates to student's needs. It's amazing to see how much progress you can make after so little in a language!

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
Liver! Discovering food was very fun... I've eaten things I never thought I would, but it's all about the new experiences!

One of a kind multicultural experience

When I decided to do an exchange semester in AUC I had no idea how much fun I would have and how many wonderful people I would met. From the moment I arrived in Egypt I've been loving everything single moment and I want to point out how kind egyptian people have been to me. AUC is a great institution that has helped in everything I needed and most of all helped meet so many people from many different cultures.

I created a wonderful bound with AUC and Egypt and I will cherish this semester forever.

Gateway to a Brighter Future

Unfortunately, the experience cannot be put into few lines of text, from the moment I arrived to Egypt, I feel nothing but amazed at and by everything. The University's architecture (design), gardens, people, instructors, activities, and so on, are all beyond what I expected, in a good way. The best thing I have experienced is diversity, I have met many Egyptians who are all nice and welcoming, and other internationals from all over the world which sparked the beginning of many friendships, and conversations about many interesting topics, such as culture, languages, politics, ideas, people, way of living, and so on. Many of us, have changed their future plans for the better because of these friendships and information exchange about other countries and cultures. All in all, totally recommend it.
