About Program

A summer study abroad program in the beautiful town of San Gemini, Central Italy, now in its 21st year. 4-week programs in conservation including lectures, research, field trips and workshops with hands-on experience focusing on the study of: historic buildings preservation, traditional forms of painting, conservation of archaeological ceramics, the restoration and preservation of book bindings and paper. SGPS is a program of the International Institute for Restoration and Preservation. All classes are held in English.
