API students have the opportunity to study abroad in Auckland at the innovative AUT University. Founded in 1895, AUT University describes itself as “the university for the changing world,” is focused on providing student-centered, innovation and responsive learning experiences. The main campus is in the heart of the city, a mere 10-15 minute walk to the harbor area. Approximately 22,000 students are enrolled at AUT University, of which nearly 4,000 are international students.

API students at the University of Auckland will be able to enroll in a variety of subject areas with both local “Kiwis” and other international students from over 85 countries. Students will take 4-5 courses alongside local Kiwi students and other international students. This offers students a great chance to immerse themselves in campus life and feel like locals. API's Resident Coordinator will also take the API group on several excursions around New Zealand and local cultural activities.
