Excellent support, placement and professionalism which exceeded my expectations!

I initially tried job hunting on my own because I was worried that going through an agent might push me into positions that weren’t the right fit for me. After searching for several weeks, attending interviews, and not quite landing the right opportunity, I decided to give Seoul ESL a chance—and it turned out to be the best decision I could have made.

Avery was incredibly fast, efficient, kind, and thoughtful throughout the entire process. She truly listened to my concerns and understood what I was looking for. Rather than simply placing me anywhere, she carefully matched me with schools that suited my personality, needs, and circumstances.

Within a short time, she helped me secure a position that absolutely exceeded my expectations. I was initially a bit nervous about working in Seoul, but it has turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.

Avery took the time to consider who I am as a person—my personality, my needs, and even my stage of life—and found a workplace where I feel genuinely comfortable and happy. Although it’s still early days, I’m already considering staying longer, and from the feedback I’ve received from colleagues, I can see this is an academy where I can truly grow.

What also stood out to me was the support even after I started the job. Avery and Sammy followed up and checked in to make sure I was settling in well meant a lot.

Thank you so much, Seoul ESL, and especially Avery, for your professionalism, empathy, and continued support throughout the entire process. I am truly grateful.

Great Experience

I had a great experience with SeoulESL. They were very helpful through every process. They placed me in a great school! They were very communicative with any updates or changes that were made immediately. Avery was wonderful and always checking in on me during the process as well as after placed in the school. Any accommodations I have asked for, they have provided! They were incredibly supportive of and would help me navigate any questions or situations I had immediately.

This is my first time moving abroad and so the process seemed stressful but they made sure it was as easy of a transition as possible for me.

I highly recommend anyone interested in this program to work with SeoulESL.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

The best experience and process with ESL Consulting

I applied to ESL Consulting and got an interview right away to look at possible opportunities. Right away, ESL Consulting was able to connect me with different interviews from different schools and was able to successfully get an offer from a great English school in Songdo. The process is very easy and simple, as well as the guidance they provide. I got several emails as well, and they would reply fast when I had concerns or questions. I would extremely recommend ESL Consulting to anyone looking to fulfill their dream of teaching abroad in Korea!

What was your funniest moment?
When going to get a medical check up for my registration card I was able to communicate with the staff that spoke no English and we laughed at how we would confuse each other but in the end we were able to perform all procedures.
Pros
  • Fast service
Cons
  • Little to no English speaking

Very Easy Transition

I got placed at a hakwon in Seoul for my first year of teaching, and I decided to transition to a private elementary school for my second year. SeoulESL was extremely helpful with this process because it involves a lot of paperwork and the timing has to be correct. They helped me gather the appropriate documents, find a school that matched my experience level, and even helped book a moving agency when it was time to move. It's extremely helpful to work with an agency like SeoulESL because they'll be able to match your experience and qualifications with a good school. They already know all of the schools you'll be applying to, so they'll be able to give you a good idea of the school's expectations and standards.

I'll also add that I've met much of the staff in person, and I think they're wonderful people! They're extremely kind and I'm grateful for the working relationship I've built with them over the past year. Whether you're just starting out teach abroad or you've already been abroad for years, this company will be able to help you and find a job that matches your resume.

Difficult Visa situation

I experienced a difficult visa situation due to my previous company refusing to give a letter of consent. SeoulESL helped me through the whole process and made sure I had all my required documents, helped me find a faster way to get a background check, contacted immigration in Fukuoa and Korea on my behalf, and was always very quick and kind with their responses. The process took over 4 months to complete, and they communicated and checked in with me throughout the whole process.

They have been incredibly helpful and professional. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic support in finding a job

SeoulESL has been fantastic in helping me find the right teaching position. Their recruiters were detail-oriented, paying attention to my specific requirements and working tirelessly until they found the role that matched my needs. They seemed to have much more expertise in finding roles for native English teachers than their competitors.

They were quick to answer any questions I had and were proactive in anticipating roadblocks I might face during the process of moving to South Korea.

I would definitely use them again!

Fast, efficient and helpful

When I was looking for jobs in South Korea, I was unsure about many aspects of the process. The process in Thailand was was well known to me, but in SK I was clueless.
They were excellent at their communication, they gave me clear and concise assistance, and made their part of the transition to this country as smooth as they could. I am grateful for their assistance in the process, and getting me into a good place.
The interview process was also smooth and easily organised. Grace was great help
