I’ve already experienced working in Korea, I had a great deal of support from my former employer and was worried it wouldn’t be the same and as personal with a recruiter. Perhaps this is usually the case, but not with Chloe. To start with, she made me feel very comfortable in the screening interview and almost straight away had some preference-matching suggestions for me. This is particularly impressive considering the pandemic, the amount of people looking for work at the moment and academies choosing not to have as many foreign teachers due to lower attendance numbers. Chloe was patient with my because I was a little bit fussy with my location and the kind of academy I was looking to work for. My placement maybe took a bit longer than most. Teaching in Korea is hard and a lot of academies are far from perfect, but I had a lot of trust in Seoul ESL to not partner with schools that would treat their staff badly. I have already spent a year in Korea and I couldn’t recommend it more.
