World TEFL Academy

The course was very straightforward and informational. It gives plenty of suggestions for applicable lessons, games, and practice as you go through the course. Makes everything very easy to understand and the quizzes given are not too hard and reflect the most important parts from each topic. I found it very very useful and informative outside of the academic part of teaching, going through classroom management, fillers/warmers/coolers, and plenty of others. I would definitely recommend this course, great value for a good price.

Pros
  • Applicable ideas for the classroom
  • Thourough on each topic
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Not very interactive outside of the quizzes
  • Not accredited with the British Council so is not applicable for all ESL jobs

TESOL 120 Hours Course Review

The programme is great. I learnt how to teach every aspect of grammar. The way it was presented, very simple and with practical examples. All fear and anxiety to teach grammar is gone as I went through the course. Every aspect was fascinating. How to teach reading to beginners, so interesting.
I want to suggest that we use videos to teach phonics and phonetic part of the reading and pronouciation. We could have the IPA chart in video or audio. I was greatly impacted upon asI went through the various ways students learn : the visual, verbal, auditory and kinesthetic. It really open my mind to want to go straight away to implement what I have learnt. The classroom rules were another great eye opener.

Amazing Review and Intro to Key Teaching Components

I approached this course with skepticism, but was quickly taken in with the quality of content. Not only did I have an opportunity to refresh the basics of English, but the modules frame the differences between a non-native learners and native speakers.

The overview and delivery of the content keeps you engaged. Also, each module offers resources to expand your knowledge with relevant source material.

My only suggestion would be to add more video content in order to mix up the learning experience.

Pros
  • Great resources
  • Covers wide range of material
  • Offers perspective into the learners
Cons
  • Need more videos

120-hour TEFL/TESOL Course Review

I am glad at how the content helped me get refreshed. They were relevant and were laid out accordingly. I've learned more skills and methods for both in-class and online learning. My favorite part of the course was M7:Teaching Online. During lockdown due to the pandemic, I have experienced teaching online and it was a real struggle, but in this course, I've learned more ideas about handling online classes. I recommend this to anyone who is preparing to begin a teaching career and even to those who already have the experience to develop further.

TESOL / TEFL course

I started the 120hr tesol/tefl course a few weeks ago and it was fairly easy to navigate.
The information provided was simple and straight forward and as long as you have a good basic understanding of the English language, it should be easy to navigate through the website. The layout was simple and all the questions had multiple choice answers. I would recommend this website to anyone who is looking to get started in teaching English and not having to pay an arm and a leg for a certificate. Over all very pleased with the results.

Pros
  • Easy to read
  • simple website design
Cons
  • could use more elaborations on the course

I feel prepared!

I feel pepared to teach English, the academic part was straight forward and clearly organized. They gave clear examples of how to teach each thing and in what order. Using the chat was simple and they got back to me within a day.
On the other side, classroom management can be updated. The motivation tactics presented are outdated. They suggest things like star charts and other reward systems that have been clearly proven to interfer with students intrinsic motivation and love for learning in the long run. Prasing is another thing that has been proven to not be the most helpful. Kids look to be seen not judged.

Pros
  • clear material
  • thorough information
Cons
  • Motivation techniques
