When I was looking through the countless online TEFL courses, World Tesol Academy's TESOL/TEFL course stood out because of its double accreditation and its validity in several countries worldwide, as well as reputable online ESL companies like EF. The course included the basics and the essentials to start teaching English as a newbie teacher. The topics were broken down into several points which helped so much in breaking the monotony of reading a lot of text about the same topic. I would've liked it if there were more videos included in the course but it was still fine. A helpful tip would be to use a tiny journal dedicated only to answering concept questions from this course.

It's not an intensive course but it will aid in your credibility when applying for ESL jobs. I ordered the hard copy of the certificate as well as my transcripts. The design of their certificate is also a bonus since it looks much more professional than those of other online TEFL course providers.

I do not necessarily feel ready to teach, some more information on the rules of the English language (grammar) may have been helpful. Fast and simple.

Some elements about how to handle children, working online, and reward systems are subjective. This is fine but it spans a broad amount of the course, meaning that the concrete material that you actual need to be able to teach the English language, which is just a few grammatical and tense components, takes up a small portion of the course.

Still, painless and the UI is good.

I always excelled in English in school. It was my best subject. I first began teaching years ago, and have made many strides in improving my ability to teach a subject in which I excel. This course was eventful and full of information. Every question I could think of was covered. It approaches teaching from an application and science-based perspective. This course will allow you to brush up on concepts you know and delve deeper into them. I will certainly recommend it to my colleagues! Only a few weeks after learning this program, I found a method of simplifying the basics of English. My young students were speaking confidently in only a few weeks! Hello, I'm Jenifer currently living here in South Korea, I'm an English teacher here for 7 years, I did the course in just 17 days.
I heard about this program before but the time was a conflict since I'm working full-time.

So, just last month my friend tin told me that try this World TESOL academy it's great because you can get it online. So, I tried to enroll right away since I'm greedy to have a certificate. It has 8 modules so basically, each module has a quiz that's for the evaluation of what you've learned. So the good thing here is if you're having a hard time answering the question you can ask for help thru chat, it's located on the lower right side. I struggle with module two which focuses on grammar, however, I feel great because I learned a lot of techniques on how to do it easily.
I highly recommend this program to everyone who's planning to teach English and who wants to have short courses.

I really enjoyed the dynamic of the course. The information given was so clear and easy to follow as well that the examples given were so clear to understand. The examples of activities we can give to our students to practice were simple but really meaningful and fun to apply. I truly feel all the knowledge resumed in the course was perfect planned to guide us to teach so much better during an English class. I am so thankful and glad that I have found this course to improve my English teaching skills.

Lesson planning is explained beautifully inthe course. Suggestions for how to make the environment of class more interactive and to involve all the students in extremely interactive activities are so on point. Its amazing that it has a grammar part as well. Overall the course is going to be very useful in my day to day job. Really well done!

This was a fun experience , I learned so many new things I didnt know before . i believe i have improved my english just by doing this TESOL course . i would recommend anyone planning on teaching english abroad to try this course. I have learned so much besides english from doing this course. Completing this course, I am able to become the best ESL teacher, I hope to be. everything i was taught at the World TESOL Academy I will be able to teach my students confidently and clearly. i have no regets do that couse.

The course was simple and easy to complete, which is very important when it comes to a self-taught online course. Everything was explained clearly. Something I liked was how the quizzes could be completed as often as needed because if I made a mistake, I could go back to fix it and achieve a full understanding. The time given to complete the course is fair and enough to not have to cram a lot of studying in a few days but take your time to make the proper notes and be ready for the final exam. This is a big plus considering it is an online course making it easier to procrastinate. So even if you have to put off a few days of studying you can still manage to complete the course successfully. Overall a great experience and very satisfied with receiving complete training making me better prepared for teaching either online, overseas, or locally.
