The course was informative and to the point. There wasn't any useless information that was used just to fill space. I also like that further research and reading wasn't obligational, especially when you're already familiar with the content. The content provided was fun to learn and the assignments weren't too challenging and were fun to do. They taught you how to do the actual job rather than teaching you just to pass the assignments and quizzes. This is something that a lot of programs do not do as they only teach you to finish the course. All in all the experience was great.

What would you improve about this program?

Allow a more interactive communication platform between the tutors and the students.

My experience studying through the TEFL Academy was great! The coursework was well laid out and sectioned into categories that made learning easy and fun. The learning platform was easy to understand and navigate. Assignments were very clear with instructions and the tests helped you gauge your understanding as you progress through the coursework. Support from staff on email was prompt and helpful. If you are wanting to work online or teach overseas, The TEFL ADacemy is a great place to get your TEFL qualification.

An interesting course with so much to learn! I have my degree in Education, but this course has so many new activities and ways of teaching that I would love to use in my class one day.

The level of English is advanced but nothing to be afraid of. My Home Language is Afrikaans and I did not struggle at all.

This course is beneficial for every person whom may want to teach and travel and are proficient in English.

If you weigh al the benefits, this course is also really affordable - especially with the TEFL Academy.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

Don’t wait for six months to finish it.
There is more than enough time, but don’t wait to rush it all in the last three weeks. It is beter to do it as soon as you buy it.

This course was a challenge for me but I've learned so much! the additional classroom training was a great add-on as I got to connect with like-minded people on the same journey as me!
I'm so happy I got to achieve something - being a mom and working made it tough finding the time to fit the studying in but with the easy-to-use Tefl Academy online course you can quickly start where you last stopped so no time is wasted. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to teach abroad and travel.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?

it was 1 month before the course would expire and i needed to still do my last assignment! I applied my time without out breaks and that was the only way i would get through it.

The Combined Level 5 TEFL Course was not just fun to do, but very insightful and in many ways it changed my perspective on teaching. I feel more than well equipped to teach English and have found and kept many tools in the course that I will use in my future in teaching. My advice would be to spend your time doing the Units well and making notes, it will be useful when writing tests and doing assignments. When doing assignments I would suggest doing your research well. There is so much to learn in this course.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I would try to do even better in my tests and assignments.

This course has thought me so much about what English teaching entails and gave me the confidence in knowing I will excel at my job as my quality of qualification is excellent.
The TEFL Academy covers a broad spectrum of work and environments to work in, from pre school level up to work place English and more.
The 10 hour class was extremely helpful and interesting as met other students from all over the world, I recommend the course to all my fellow friends and teachers as it is a great way to make extra money.

What was your funniest moment?

The 10 hour class was held via Zoom and this gave us opportunity to speak and work with students from other countries, we had to teach the students our own home language and it was funny to hear them speak all the languages and trying to speak their language.

I completed the Level 5 TEFL Course. I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Feedback was very good and prompt. The content was interesting and the units were very informative. Support staff were very helpful. All instructions were very clear. The time allocation was correct and useful in planning your work schedule. The content covered will be beneficial to anyone wanting to teach English as a foreign language or even just as a normal teacher to improve your skills, give you new ideas about activities and to inspire you to teach your students in new ways.

TEFL is very professional in the way they deliver their content. Not being used to online learning. TEFL user interface was simple and easy to navigate through. The student support is marvelous. I needed to rebook a date for the 48hr practice, and they resolved the problem in no time at all. The most challenging part of this course would have been the Assignments, you get 3 attempts at completing the assignments, but thanks to the support of the markers of the assignments I had received constructive feedback as to how I can improve on my Assignments

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

The one piece of advice I would give is to plan ahead and to do your best. Worrying and stressing won't help you. The resources, as well as the markers, are there to assist and help you achieve your best. Planning ahead is beneficial as you do not want to get stuck with a pile of work and then have to ask for an extension. Just do your absolute best and you will reap the rewards.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

The TEFL course spanned over a period of 6 months which gave me ample time to complete my course accordingly. Some units take more time than others to complete, but if you plan and stick to that plan, you will not have a problem. The TEFL site also makes it easy and exciting to learn so that you do not get bored or frustrated during your study session.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

I have no been abroad yet for TEFL teaching, but I am surely looking into it. I would love to travel to Asia, as I have been to India once and I absolutely loved it. I would like to visit Japan, South Korea, and China as a TEFL teacher and hopefully start my career there. I look forward to new experiences and challenges.

Any other tips for any prospective traveler?

India is a fantastic country, not quite like what I initially perceived it to be. The people are genuine and the country itself is a true wonder. My advice to anyone traveling there is to absorb as much as he/she/they can. India is rich with culture and history, full of diversity. Visiting places such as the Taj Mahal brings a totally different feeling, the atmosphere is spectacular. India is a beautiful country and so are its people.
