Incredible experience

I had an absolutely wonderful experience participating in the GoToCo Thailand TESOL program. From the moment I arrived in Thailand, I was captivated by the beautiful landscapes, rich culture, and warm hospitality of the Thai people.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the program was the opportunity to work with Thai children and witness the positive impact I was making on their English language skills. Teaching English as a second language was not only fulfilling but also incredibly gratifying. It was heartwarming to see the enthusiasm and eagerness of the students to learn, and their progress throughout the program was truly remarkable.

Aside from the teaching aspect, the program also allowed me to explore the diverse and enchanting country of Thailand during my free time. From the bustling streets of Bangkok to the serene beaches of the southern islands, I had the chance to immerse myself in Thai culture, savor delicious local cuisine, and create lasting memories.

Overall, the GoToCo Thailand TESOL program provided me with an enriching and transformative experience. It not only deepened my appreciation for teaching and cultural exchange but also allowed me to develop a deeper connection with Thailand and its people. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking for a meaningful adventure that combines teaching, travel, and personal growth.

  • Improves your CV

Amazing experience in Bali

Teaching English with full funding in Bali was an incredible experience. Not only did I have the opportunity to immerse myself in the Balinese culture, but I also found immense joy in sharing my knowledge and language skills with eager and motivated students. The gotoco team were very helpful, and the accommodation and food provided were very good. Being able to travel around the island and having freedom on the weekends was a highlight of the experience, as we were able to see more of Bali and travel around the nearby islands.

It's legit, don't hesitate and go for it!!

It's one of very few fully funded courses available put there, most require a massive chunk of money that you don't get back. This is different and a genuine company. If you want an amazing travel experience, emersed in the culture then sign up. The programme is very enjoyable, you push yourself out of your comfort zone and get to understand a new way of life and expand your mind, not to mention the qualification and new opportunities you unlock. I was sceptical at first but once I understood this is funded by the British touring scheme and read all the reviews, I knew it was for me. You won't regret it!!!

Pros
  • Travel
  • Fully funded
  • Adventure
Cons
  • Language barriers

Gotoco 6-week Summer Programme in Vietnam

Hi guys. If you're looking on the overseas website to try and find a job or voluntary position abroad you're probably having to filter through loads of 'Volunteering opportunities' where they try and make you pay hand over fist for whatever. GOTOCO IS FULLY FUNDED AND YOU GET A QUALIFICATION - absolutely banging - loved my time here in Vietnam - they had an amazing trip for us at the end which was just incredible. Communication could be a little better at times between coordinators and gotocoers - plus the teaching induction at the beginning wasn't sufficient but the schools are great at getting you on your feet.

Pros
  • flights reimbursed / accommodation
  • you get a teaching qual
  • have an amazing time in another country
Cons
  • communication can be poor
  • is a bit of a struggle getting all the money back

Amazing experience with Gotoco in Bali

This program was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone! I was attracted to this program because of the funded opportunity to travel to Bali, but was hesitant that it wasn't going to be as good as I expected. But it really was. The accommodation was great, the staff and coordinators were approachable, and the cultural events that were arranged were great for letting you understand the country. At the weekends, you had the chance to go and explore other parts of the island, which I really enjoyed, as it is such a beautiful island. The best aspect for me was probably the teaching, which was a really fun and interesting experience.

Pros
  • Beautiful location
  • Really nice accommodation
  • A great opportunity to meet new people
Cons
  • Long journey, but worth it!

Thailand Short Stay Funded Program

Generally, a great experience you cannot complain about being funded to teach in Thailand. A few minor gripes but they are related specifically to the placement I was on and not the program overall. 'Placement in a supportive school in rural Thailand with extensive cultural activities.' This didn't seem true to word, as we were placed in a £15,000 a year kindergarten in Bangkok where we acted as substitute teachers for the other 40 native English-speaking teachers and one of our cultural activities was being offered to go watch our English headteacher's rock band practice. Talking to others on our course we seemed to be an isolated case so I would still recommend the program.

Great experience with Gotoco Poland

I loved my trip to Poland with Gotoco. I really enjoyed getting to meet so many new people, learning about the local culture, and exploring new cities. The programmes were really rewarding, as I got to mentor different students and watch them all grow over the week.
The highlight for me was meeting the other Gotoco participants. By taking on this experience, I got to meet and form close bonds with so many amazing people.
I would really recommend joining Gotoco as you get to travel whilst gaining teaching experience and a TESOL qualification. You meet so many new people from different backgrounds, allowing you to improve your conversational skills, confidence and independence. I think I have benefitted greatly from this experience and I would definitely recommend!

Pros
  • Enhances confidence and independence
  • Travel and teaching experience
  • Great fun

Gotoco TESOL in Vietnam

Gotoco is an excellent experience overall - it is probably the most affordable way to visit a southeast Asian country. It's a great way to meet new people and really be immersed in the local culture. Having the opportunity to complete a TESOL programme was brilliant - it was really informative and useful for planning my own lessons. I was very grateful that Gotoco was so accommodating and allowed my friends and I to be placed in a group together. The coordinators were always contactable to help with any issues which was fantastic. Our employers in Bao Loc were extremely generous and made our trip very memorable.

Pros
  • Achieve a fully funded TESOL
  • Immerse yourself in local culture
  • Gain unique work experience
