It's was a great experience

I would recommend this program to all wanting to learn English with confidence. Its engaging, fun and still with a mission at the end. Every experience is so personal and beautiful. If you have the time do consider joining this program. Build a new confidence and new friends too. Get to see great views, places, explore and learn about a place. So for travel lovers this is can also be a good option as you an exchange your language skills and confidence to someone who really needs it and while you get to learn from them and local cultures. The only advise is, be prepared for the amazing places in Poland however it can get cold from time to time so do bring your wind breakers or a scarf the least . Other than that its amazing times with Angloville.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?

Lip[owy Most

I had a fantastic time in Poland and met wonderful people from all over the world, I will definitely repeat the experience again. Everything was well organised, the location was fabulous, great food and comfortable rooms. Steven did a fab job leading the programme each day. A typical day would start at 9:00 am for breakfast followed by one to one activities, role plays or negotiation activities, then lunch and after lunch similar activities again. Dinner was at 7:00 pm followed by fun and games! I highly recommend Angloville to anyone with a sense of adventure. You will have a brilliant time and meet incredible people.
Lipowy Most is set in a beautiful forest close to the border with Belarus, it even has a beautiful spa and gardens with a lake to walk in too. I can't wait to try another Angloville programme.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
My advice would be to just do it. There are people of all ages ranging from 20 to about 70. We all got on well and had a lot of fun together. You will come away with great memories and you will have met fabulous people from different countries and cultures.

Rewarding and fun experience

My wife and I just finished two fantastic weeks with Angloville. One week out of Budapest, Hungary and a week near Wroclaw, Poland. Angloville is a great experience and opportunity to meet other mentors from around the world as well as professional people from the country you volunteer in.

The week is organized so that there is no guessing what you need to do. There is no formal teaching just conversational interaction with the participants. Lots of fun during the event.
You will make many new friends. The accommodations and meals are provided.

It was a great way to travel between Angloville programs for enabling us to see other parts of the two countries we participated in. You won't regret being a part of the program.

Look forward to taking part again!

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
We had the opportunity to hike as a group to a waterfall and to a castle. It gave us an opportunity to informally interact as well as bond with participants. It changed up the routine. The hike was challenging but worth the view at the top.

Well-worth it!

Angloville is great for networking and working on ESL teaching skills. It also requires you to be a good listener and come up with appropriate topics of conversation for people of varying English abilities.
The accomodations vary depending on the program. Yes, it's volunteer work so the focus should be on working with people and helping them achieve their English learning goals, not what time the bar opens or if the wifi is any good. Volunteers come from all walks of life so be prepared to deal with their issues, not necessarily the native speakers'. Luckily, the program coordinators are very adept in handling all kind of situations and are always available for addressing issues.
It's a rewarding experience though. You kind of have to take it for what it's worth.

What would you improve about this program?
I would do better screening of the volunteers and staff.

Very Great

The program was very streamlined and easy to follow along with. I am excited to see where it takes me in all of my future endeavors. Applying to Angloville was simple and easy. The recruitment team contacts you timely and makes sure you don't have any confusion along the way. The interview process is very professional and quick. I look forward to participating in future programs and experiencing all it has to offer me. The cities and programs were all put together very well. Traveling between programs and working in multiple cities is definitely the way to experience the most exposure to the culture. The student's participation was very active and highly involved. Overall, Angloville is a great, simple and extremely fun organization. I highly recommend participation in one or more programs.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Apply early to get access to the vast amount of cities offered in this program.

May 2019

I randomly stumbled upon angloville & signed up for the adult program. I almost thought of it as being too good to be true. I signed up for a program in Warsaw.

I thoroughly enjoyed the program. I met people from all walks of life & learnt so much from everyone involved. The day is broken into 1-1 as well as group activities. Entertainment hour in the evening is a lot of fun & relaxed.

Angloville looked after us very well. The venue was amazing set in the grounds of a palace. The food was delicious with an array of local dishes & fresh salads. A tea and coffee station on hand throughout the day.

This was a fantastic program, I won’t hesitate to book another. I would recommend this to anyone who is up for a fun and rewarding week abroad.

Time well spent

I decide to try the Angloville experience based on the recommendation of a friend who had participated several times. Everything he had to say about the program and experience was absolutely true.
I met interesting, often amazing people from all over the country as participants, and from all over the world as volunteers. People I would not have otherwise met or interacted with while traveling as a visitor.
Co-ordinators provided a wonderful variety of activities and exercises that helped bond us together as a group and encourage interaction and fun.
Some of the most relaxed and interesting conversations happened during the evening social hour.
Accommodations and meals were comfortable and (for the most part) tasty.
Well done! Would definitely go again.

What would you improve about this program?
I fully expect this comment comes from my own place of not living a life connected to the internet at all times but, here it goes: if participants could be encouraged to leave their mobile devices aside and not use them to look up and translate words into English when they are at a loss for the right word. An attempt to use the English words they do have to describe or make themselves understood would go much further to build their language skills. A word looked up and used once within 30 seconds is far more likely to be forgotten in the next instant than an attempt to try using what they already know. Fosters more practice too, don’t you think?

Amazing opportunity

I absolutely loved completing the Angloville program in Hungary and look forward to hopefully doing another program. I met amazing people, both participants and fellow volunteers and enjoyed every conversation I had. Plus, the Hungarian countryside was beautiful! The meals provided were filling, balanced, and delicious. Downside though is if you are a picky eater there is no choice in the meals so you may have a harder time. We were able to eat all meals together though, which is a welcomed change for solo travelers. There was a good balance of free time and volunteer time so I still had time to get things done personally that I needed to. The hotel we stayed at had a sauna, hot tub, and many groomed walking areas for exercise. Overall this was a great experience.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Work this program into your future travels! It makes solo travel much less boring.

Questions & Answers

The two companies I have used for this so far are Angloville and VaughanTown. The enquirer needs to visit their websites and discover what the conditions are. There is availability throughout the year and quite often spaces available on trips at short notice that may not yet have been filled. Angloville has a Facebook page also. volunteers.grupovaughan.com/what-we-do/vaughan-town angloville.com
