China Internship: How They Made it Happen

Alright, here's how the Go Abroad China program really helped me out: First, they landed me a paid internship at a Fortune 500 company. That was huge. They handled the visa process, which can be a real headache, and found me a decent apartment. They arranged airport pickup, so I wasn't lost as soon as I arrived. They even organized language classes, which helped me get by. They had regular check-ins to make sure I was doing okay, and they were always available to answer my questions. They set up cultural events and trips, so I got to see more of China than just my office. They connected me with other interns, making it easy to make friends. They provided pre-departure information and a handbook, so I felt prepared. Basically, they took care of all the practical stuff, so I could focus on my internship and enjoy the experience.
