Get a better understanding of the world

Hi, I am Andre, I came to China to experience a different culture and see different things, just to get a better understanding of the world. Most people think the world is simply about their hometown or cities, but it's much bigger and broader, with much more to offer than what we see on TV or from our doorstep.

Being here allows me to immerse myself in a different culture and interact with different people. It helps me pick up different traits and become a better person. Additionally, I'm here to get a better understanding of business because I'm a marketing major. I'm working with a marketing team during my internship, which is helping me improve and gain a broad perspective on global business. This experience aligns with my career path in international business.

One thing to note about China is that if you're not from here, people might stare at you. It's just curiosity, as many people come from rural or smaller parts of China. You just have to get used to it, and it'll be okay. As for me, I do like it here. Initially, there was a culture shock, but once you get used to it and explore it, you'll see the inner workings of Beijing beyond the initial impressions.

Beijing is more diverse than I thought. I've met people from Europe, Africa, and various other places. They all have different stories, but they're all great people. Lastly, I would definitely recommend Go Abroad China to others. In a country like this, where it's strict and different from what I'm used to, having someone at your back is crucial. They've been supportive and have helped me have the experience I've had. It's all about connections, and without them, I wouldn't have had the same experience.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
I tried a lot of delicious dishes, there are many varieties of Chinese food
Pros
  • 我的汉语有很多提升

A wonderful experience, I think I will come back to China again

My name is Yann Garrett. I'm from France, I'm studying engineering, specifically construction and sustainable engineering. My career goal is to be an engineer working as a technical and as a manager. So I came to China through GoabroadChina to find relevant internship projects and increase my experience.

I've been working with the company named PG City. This was a very good experience, and yet the boss is very cool. My colleagues are very cool, and the work inside is very interesting. I've been working as a designer, it was pretty interesting. I also made some research on China. I actually got to know some of China's culture with this company, like how the government works, and this is quite interesting.

I've been to lots of places in Beijing, like the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and the Summer Palace, etc.

The first week was difficult, but then I met some people, and the social network became very large. I know a lot of people, and I used to go with them to some events or go to places.

When we consider further services with GoAbroadChina in the future, it's a very good opportunity to move to China, definitely.

I had a really good experience,Thank you, GoAbroadChina.

Hi everybody my name is Elisa ,I am 25 years old and I come from Milan Italy. This is my experience with GoabroadChina. I'm about to finish my internship. I have already graduated almost one year ago. I really wanted to start working to have some working experience, so I decided join an internship. In China so for that GoAbroadChina was so helpful because it was basically the only way to come here. They were very very helpful since the very beginning from the application process to the helping with the visa. I am very grateful to the GoAbroadChina girls because they helped me a lot. They followed me through the whole process, answered every question that I had, they were always there for me.

Thank you for the the accommodation, which is convenient. The internship company is a Chinese company which trades steel products. It really fits my major which is International Management. I had a real good experience there ,because everyone was really nice with me since the first day and my colleagues are really nice. They were very very helpful and I learned a lot.

In general I can say that I had a really good experience. So thank you, GoAbroadChina.

I had a very happy ten months in China

Hello, I'm Fabiola from Italy. I've been in China for 10 months for an internship program with Go Abroad China. Initially, I came to China because I had graduated in Chinese and wanted to improve my language skills. That's why I came here with the goal of learning Chinese, which China provides ample opportunities for, not only for language learning but also for work. In fact, I'm an intern working as a journalist at BQ.

The best experiences I've had in China were when my articles were published for the first time. It allowed me to experience the real Chinese culture and interact with the locals, as I live with a host family. Living with Chinese people has provided me with invaluable experiences and learnings. Overall, it has been a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend Go Abroad China to anyone.

I have tutoring classes for three hours every two days, and my Chinese teacher is fantastic. Go Abroad China is very attentive and responsive; they genuinely care about their participants. Whenever I've had a problem or needed assistance, they've been there for me promptly.

In conclusion, I hope many people will consider this program because it offers a very enriching experience.

It was worth it to come!

I'm Annalisa. I'm 29 years old from Chicago, and I'm enrolled in a graduate program through Johns Hopkins in managing. I chose to come to China for the internship because I'm going to grad school in the fall and not James, so I wanted to come to China this summer to learn more, be immersed in the Chinese culture before starting graduate school. I chose to come to China GAC because I knew that they would be able to help me take care of all of my arrangements, like my accommodation, my Chinese classes, and helping me find an internship, so I just wanted that extra support while I was here.

I was looking for CYB, the Center for Youth Business Facilitation, and my job was really like an innovation consultant.
So I helped them organize, create curriculum, organize a lot of activities for students around youth entrepreneurship, and teaching entrepreneurship, which I already have a lot of experience in.

I live with a family, so I've lived with three families now, two in Shanghai and one in Beijing. I moved back and forth with my internship, and I really have enjoyed staying with different kinds of families because I've learned a lot about how Chinese families live in different ways.

I've attended a lot of GAC activities. I did some ceramics, I did Tai Chi, I did dragon boat racing in Beijing. I think I like dragon boat racing the best because it was a very unique experience. And I really like China, Beijing and Shanghai. I think I enjoyed Beijing the most because it's very historical, but I really like China because I've been learning the language, I can appreciate it more now that I've been here for the summer. And then after my internship, I'm going to go to Nanjing and study at the Drum Natural Machine, which has some cooperation with Nanjing.

Pros
  • The programme takes care of all the arrangements for your stay.
  • Excellent facilities
  • You will be placed in excellent companies for your internship.

Hello, I am From Italy, Joined the GoAbroadChina internship in the China program with the Homestay in Shanghai in 2024. I decided to come to China to improve my Chinese and enter the world of work. So, I decided to rely on the GoAbroadChina agency to facilitate this two-month experience in Shanghai. I stayed with a host family, and I can say it was a beautiful experience. I also completed an internship at a company and learned a lot about work. In addition, GoAbroadChina organized Chinese lessons for me on Saturday afternoons with a really good teacher who was very professional. She encouraged us to talk as much as possible.

GoabroadChina -Internship at a law firm and live with homestay for 2 months

I am from America, joined the GoAbroadChina internship program in China in 2024.
Hello, my name is James Remington. For the past 10 weeks, I have been studying in China, utilizing the services provided by GoAbroadChina, and it has been an absolutely wonderful experience. Currently, I am recording from the Shanghai Botanical Garden, a lovely garden situated a bit on the outskirts of the city.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude towards GoAbroadChina and the amazing services they offer. Firstly, my accommodations and homestay experience have been phenomenal. The family I have stayed with has become more than just hosts; I consider them to be very dear personal friends. Saying goodbye to them will be bittersweet.

Regarding the internship aspect, it has been a truly enriching experience to immerse myself in the Chinese working culture. I interned with a law firm and have not only formed great personal friendships but also established valuable professional connections with the partners, associates, and fellow interns. I cannot emphasize enough how highly I recommend this service. It has been very convenient to integrate into Chinese culture and language, and I now consider myself much more knowledgeable about both than when I first arrived in China. This is largely thanks to the wonderful services provided by GoAbroadChina.

Overall, my time in China has been nothing short of amazing, and I will be sad to leave. Thank you.
