Amazing, Once in a Lifetime Experience

My experience with the company was incredibly positive from start to finish. One of the aspects I appreciated most was how helpful and supportive they were in securing a direct internship placement that closely aligned with both my career goals and my area of academic study. From the very beginning, it was clear that they took the time to understand my interests, strengths, and aspirations, and used that information to connect me with an internship that would offer meaningful professional growth. This personalized approach made me feel confident that I wasn’t just being placed anywhere, but rather somewhere that would truly help me grow and succeed.

The process of moving to a new country can often be overwhelming, especially when it involves adapting to an unfamiliar culture, navigating new systems, and managing logistics like housing, transportation, and communication. However, the company went above and beyond to make that transition as smooth and easy as possible. They provided clear, step-by-step guidance well in advance of my departure, which helped me feel fully prepared and at ease. Whether it was assistance with visa paperwork, setting expectations for workplace culture, or offering packing checklists and arrival instructions, every detail was thoughtfully considered.

Once I arrived, the support continued. I was welcomed into a professional environment that was both challenging and rewarding. My internship allowed me to apply what I had learned in school in real-world scenarios, giving me a deeper understanding of my field. I worked alongside experienced professionals who were generous with their time and knowledge, and who made me feel like a valued member of the team. The projects I was involved in were engaging and relevant, and I was encouraged to contribute my ideas and take initiative. This not only improved my technical skills, but also boosted my confidence and ability to collaborate effectively in a professional setting.

Equally impactful was the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture. Living and working in a different country broadened my perspective in so many ways. I learned to appreciate different customs, traditions, and ways of thinking. I became more adaptable, open-minded, and aware of global issues. The cultural experiences—both in and out of the workplace—helped me grow personally as much as I did professionally. Whether it was trying new foods, learning a new language, or simply navigating daily life in a new setting, every experience contributed to my overall development.

Looking back, I can say with complete confidence that this was one of the most enriching and transformative experiences I’ve ever had. The combination of professional development, cultural immersion, and personal growth has had a lasting impact on me. I am incredibly grateful to the company for facilitating such an opportunity and for their continuous support throughout the journey. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to expand their horizons, gain international experience, and take meaningful steps toward achieving their career goals.

Summer Internship 2023

Spending my summer in Paris with Absolute Internship was an unforgettable experience. The Absolute team was incredibly supportive, making the transition smooth and stress-free.

The internship itself helped me grow both professionally and personally, giving me hands-on experience while improving my French. It was the perfect balance of work and fun—exploring the city, visiting iconic landmarks, and taking amazing day trips.

If you're considering an internship abroad, just go for it! Absolute Internship makes it an incredible and rewarding experience.

Unforgettable Summer!

The internship program with Absolute was truly a dream come true, as it allowed me to explore my passion for international law right in the heart of Paris! I was thrilled to gain insights into French law while building a close relationship with my incredible mentor, Maitre Richard. His dedication to providing me with a diverse experience, from corporate to sports law, went far beyond his specialty in real estate and urban law. I particularly loved working on projects related to legal neutral evaluation, an emerging area in France, and collaborating on a white paper and presentations about mediation in urban development. These experiences deepened my legal knowledge and helped me discover the areas of law that truly resonate with me. Additionally, what made this experience even more special was the amazing support from the program coordinators, who were always there to help and guide us. They organized unforgettable events, like a picnic by the Eiffel Tower and scenic boat rides along the Seine, which made the internship not just educational but also filled with fun and camaraderie. Moreover, this internship provided me with a well-rounded perspective on different legal careers, beyond just litigation. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity, the support, and the unforgettable experiences that have brought me closer to my dream of working in international law and clarified my future career path.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Take advantage of all the opportunities you see that are available! While I was working full-time as a legal intern, I also wanted to experience all that I could in the short time that I was in Paris. As such, I had the chance to attend a music festival, watch a few tennis matches during Roland-Garros, and even observe Paris Fashion Week!

I highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Absolute Internship! You get what you pay for. My program coordinators, Marta and Tuti, were so helpful and nice throughout the whole process. We took fun weekend trips. I would be specific when they ask what kind of internship you want. I learned real world skills and have many connections now. I am happy I choose this program because it was better than the other ones I looked at. They were organized and I felt safe the entire time. This program is real, and worth it!

Great experience in Paris

The company was great. Had the possibility to really get the most out of this experience. Being in Paris also gave me the chance to improve french during my stay. I would suggest to do at least 2 month so as to be involved really in the company’s life. Therefore recommended! It builds your resume and leaves you enriched especially in terms of practice which sometimes is left aside in university. The process was very smooth, lots of advices about how to prepare for the interview and in general it was worth.

Life Changing experience

During my internship with Flavors of Paris, I took on various projects to enhance the company's outreach and operations. This included reaching out to partners to inform them about their inclusion in our product, collaborating on creating QR-coded cards to boost reviews and site reach, managing email marketing campaigns for subscriber engagement, assisting in invoicing with my boss Lisa, and providing hardware solutions. These experiences allowed me to develop a range of new skills that proved valuable in both the internship and my own business endeavors.

Incroyable

The whole experience changed my life and allowed me to grow and build myself and my identity. I learned how to be independent, how to explore, and how to embrace change in a positive way. I was enlightened by the amount of different historically and culturally significant places I got to see, the dozens of museums I got to visit, and the many foods I got to try. I want to move to France now, and I’m currently looking at ways to achieve that. As someone who also deals with depression regularly, I truly felt supported by those around me, especially our program coordinator Aurore. Aurore helped me feel cared for and included. She was extremely supportive and personable, she helped me with my internship and was one of my photography models, she was an amazing friend and even helped me plan a dinner for my birthday. She went above and beyond and made my internship experience ten times greater than what I imagined it could be. She was able to give everyone the chance to explore and learn about France (where our internship program was) and she immersed us into the culture in a way that allowed us to understand what it was like to live in Paris. She knew how to cheer us up when we were feeling down.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
My advice to future travelers is to list all the things you want to do in your chosen destination, and once you get there, invite anyone else in the program to accompany you on your adventures so that you get to experience something entirely new and you get to share the moment while doing so.
Pros
  • Creates confidence
  • Supports tons of growth
  • Enriches experience and knowledge
Cons
  • Can be confusing to navigate a destination
  • Getting your phone to work is hard
  • Can be slightly scary

My Experience With Absolute Internship

I participated in the 2 month long intern abroad program in Paris during the summer of 2022 and had an incredible time. I was paired with a company doing marketing, which was my preferred area of work. I learned a lot about the different work culture and gained experience that will be valuable as I start my career back home. My program coordinator, Aurore, was an incredible resource throughout! She offered me guidance as I navigated a new and big city and worked for a new employer. I am so grateful to her for her kindness and support. She truly elevated my entire experience!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
My advice would be to take advantage of the opportunity and really explore the city fully. I loved walking around an area and seeing things that the locals do as opposed to sticking with the tourist attractions. Those are great to see too but you can observe so much more about the new culture and the way of life by exploring areas away from commercialized and touristy areas that are filled with people from America and the same as what you see back home.
Pros
  • Support is always available
  • Work experience that stands out
  • Expands your world view
