Incredible Experience!

This internship was one of the greatest decisions of my life. Getting to meet all of these amazing people from all over the world and work closely with another culture for a few weeks was super enlightening and is an experience I wouldn’t trade for the world. The coordinators were super kind and helpful, allowing me to enjoy my trip and get the most out of my internship. I loved getting to travel around the city and outlying areas, the train system making transportation quick and easy. The food was also amazing, I totally recommend Latymer’s thai!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would talk to a lot more people and go out more to experience as much as I can. I wish I befriended my coworkers sooner as well to have made meaningful connections with them all.
Pros
  • Great experience
  • Amazing people
  • Get to see a lot of places
Cons
  • You will get tired from work
  • Not a lot of free days
  • Kind of pricey

My Absolute Experience

Absolute was present not only in finding us an internship, but they also made sure we had activities planned for the weekends, including visiting other cities and different places in London. Overall would recommend it for anyone who wants to not only gain professional experience but also for someone who wants to learn about different cultures and different countries.

I got to meet people from different places and formed friendships with them. I had an amazing time and would definitely recommend it.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would plan a bit better for my weekends, so I could take trips to other places in the UK like Scotland.

4 Weeks

My time in London was nothing short of incredible. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this was going to be a journey I’d remember for years to come. There’s something about the energy of the city — the fast pace, the rich history, the mix of cultures — that immediately draws you in and keeps you wanting more. Every day brought a new experience, a new perspective, and a new opportunity to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. London has a way of pushing you out of your comfort zone in the best way possible. Whether it was navigating the Underground, trying unfamiliar foods, or simply adjusting to a different lifestyle, I found myself constantly adapting and embracing the unknown. It was exciting, sometimes challenging, but always rewarding. I gained so much just from being immersed in such a dynamic, global environment.

I fell in Love

I fell in love with London thanks to Absolute Internships. Not only did my placement manager, Tilly, find the perfect internship for me, but my onsite coordinators, Emma and Courtney, provided me with all the resources and support to take on London with peace of mind. Sure, I could have found an internship, housing, and figured out the visa process all by myself, but I would have been far too stressed, and the experience would have been tainted. Absolute ensures you get the most out of your time by helping you navigate your transition and the city, which is invaluable. Needless to say, I will be singing this company's praises for years to come!

Great Learning Opportunity at Acumen Media

This was a great experience because I learned a lot of new skills in branding and marketing. Interning at Acumen Media gave me hands-on experience with real campaigns, and I felt trusted and supported by the team throughout. The working environment was creative, collaborative, and motivating. I had the chance to contribute to projects involving social media, content creation, and strategic planning. This internship helped me grow professionally and gave me real insight into how branding works in the media industry. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic and inspiring workplace.

A once in a lifetime experience

My internship in London is definitely one that will live on with me forever as it not only taught me about the professional workplace but it was also my first time living independently in a foreign country. I have learnt numerous soft and hard skills that will be extremely useful later on in my life whether it is career related or life in general. The friends I made from this experience is something that I won't forget as well due to our shared experiences and how we helped each other navigate this new environment.

What was your funniest moment?
It was me having to learn how to navigate the British dry humour and sarcasm. I had so many times where I tokk what I heard at face value.
Pros
  • Learning reslience
  • Being comfortable in uncomfortable situations.
  • Communication
Cons
  • Weather in the area.

Cultivating Global Perspectives and Operational Expertise

My internship at SportInspired in London, facilitated by Absolute Internship, was a pivotal experience that significantly elevated my early career trajectory. Through this program, I collaborated with the SportInspired Finance team and CEO, using Microsoft 365 and Xero to streamline budget planning and execution while contributing to strategic, long-term business initiatives. The experience also allowed me to develop operational expertise by managing ten sports festivals that positively impacted over 500 children, 50 teachers, and 200 volunteers from underprivileged communities. These events promoted active lifestyles and fostered social connections through sports. Absolute Internship provided a unique platform for me to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, multicultural environment, further strengthening my ability to navigate global challenges with a solutions-driven mindset.

First time traveling abroad

Absolute Internship was the best way for me to get comfortable traveling abroad. It gave me the opportunity to grow personally and professionally in ways I never expected. I had an amazing time getting to know people from all around the world, seeing iconic landmarks, and becoming fully immersed in the rich and diverse culture of the United Kingdom. Each day offered something new, from exploring historic sites to trying local cuisine and connecting with people from different backgrounds. I would highly recommend Absolute Internship to anyone who is ready to step outside their comfort zone, try something new, and experience what it truly means to live and work abroad. This experience gave me the confidence to navigate unfamiliar environments, adapt to new situations, and embrace the challenges and joys that come with international living. It’s a journey I’ll cherish forever and a step I’m so glad I took.
