Savanna Review

I studied in Paris in the summer of 2022. I was there for the marketing internship program. Aurore provided really great support and was so helpful in making sure we all knew how to navigate the city and that we were all having fun and enjoying our internships. The activities arranged through Absolute Internship were really well thought out and I appreciated that we got to see places outside of Paris. I felt like Aurore was very competent and I trusted her to do her job, but she also was very fun and spent time with us.

Amazing Experience with Aurore

Absolute Internship was amazing. The programme with Absolute was a fun and a good learning experience.

My team leader Aurore was brilliant, always there for me when I needed her and welcomed me in so many different ways. She was helpful, funny and it felt she was more of a friend than a coordinator.

An absolutely amazing experience, and one that I have made many memories from. Will be something that I never forget.

This internship was my first ever travel/experience to Europe and it was 10/10.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Would stay for longer :)
Pros
  • Build communication skills
  • Learn different cultures
  • Team work and Building C.V
Cons
  • Cost too high

Absolute Internship with Aurore

2 summers ago, I was lucky enough to spend 8 weeks in Paris with Absolute doing a business development internship. I had a fantastic experience with people from my school and around the world. I made great friends and gained valuable experience at my job. Aurore was an amazing program lead. She was so helpful, kind, and funny, and truly became one of my friends on the trip. Some of my favorite memories were the weekend trips and activities that she planned. One special memory I have was canoeing and swimming when we were nearby Strasbourg. Anyways, if you can do an internship abroad, do it! Best experience, just really think about what you want to intern in and what goals you want to use the experience to further.

Best summer ever!

My internship in Paris was the best summer of my life. I had been diagnosed with cervical cancer the summer before and had 3 surgeries before having my tumor removed and being medically cleared. I went into the internship with an open mind and spirit and it was better than anything I imagined. I got great work experience and got to see what it would be like having a full time job after college. The cultural experience I gained really helped me to get the post college job I have now which is working for a non profit with children from all over the world.

What was your funniest moment?
I met a bartender in Paris at a random bar my group went into and after talking to her realized she was friends with someone I knew from high school. I got our whole group a round of free shots. It was the funniest thing to run into someone on the other side of the world, I’m from LA, and have a connection with them. It makes you realize how small the world really is and the things you can discover by being friendly.
Pros
  • Language/communication building skills
  • Culture shock understanding
  • Professional skills
Cons
  • Not long enough
  • Bad communication pre departure
  • Knowledge of cost of things prior to going

Julianna’s Paris internship 2022

Being in Paris with everyone from absolute internship was amazing, I met so many cool people, got to explore a massive place, and felt very independent/on my own for the first time. My internship wasn’t the best match, because I got an interview a month out from when I was suppose to leave I wasn’t left with much of an option but to take it. Fortunately my boss ended up being very cool and I didn’t have to do a lot of work, but it was almost in a completely different field than what I was looking for. Definitely wouldn’t trade my experience for the world though

What was your funniest moment?
Walking back to the hotel in the middle of the night after partying with my friends and finding a tiny playground that we had so much fun on for so long
Pros
  • Experience a different city
  • Less stressful way to solo travel
  • The planned trips
Cons
  • Not much wiggle room with internship
  • How expensive it is

Paris Internship

Being in Paris alone for work was scary and overwhelming, but with the help and support of everyone that I have met with this program made my experience ten times better and more comfortable. The program's emphasis on community was evident through organized social events and collaborative projects, fostering lasting friendships. The support system within the group helped navigate both professional challenges and everyday life in Paris.
I recommended it to many of my friends and family and I would do it again! Thank you all!

What was your funniest moment?
Reuniting with the group after the first day of work, I didn’t know what to expect but the whole group made me feel better. We laughed a lot about our first days.
Pros
  • The amazing people I have met
  • The experiences I have gotten
  • The lessons I learnt about myself

Fun and rewarding

Embarking on an overseas internship program is a leap into the unknown, a journey that promises growth, challenges, and the opportunity to step out of one’s comfort zone. My recent experience with such a program was nothing short of extraordinary, and it is with great enthusiasm that I share my reflections on this transformative adventure.
From the outset, the warmth and professionalism of the staff were evident. They were not just facilitators of our daily schedule; they were mentors, confidants, and, most importantly, friends. Their approachability and readiness to assist with any concern made the transition into a foreign environment seamless and stress-free. Whether it was navigating the nuances of local etiquette or offering advice on professional matters, their expertise was invaluable.
The program’s structure was a thoughtful blend of educational and experiential learning. The cultural workshops served as a window into the heart of the host country’s heritage. Through interactive sessions, we delved into the intricacies of traditional customs, food, and art, gaining a profound respect and understanding of the cultural tapestry that makes the region unique.
Parallel to these cultural deep-dives were the career seminars. These forums were a goldmine of insights, equipping us with tools and strategies to excel in our respective fields.
But an internship abroad is more than just work and learning; it is also about experiencing the joys of new places and creating memories that last a lifetime. The visit to Paris Disneyland was a day where the magic of childhood fantasies came to life. The laughter, the thrills, and the sheer delight of being in one of the world’s most beloved theme parks was a welcome respite from our busy schedules.
The weekend tour to Strasbourg was another highlight. This picturesque city, with its blend of French and German influences, was a revelation. Strolling through its charming streets, admiring the historic architecture, and savoring the local cuisine was a cultural immersion like no other. It was a reminder that travel is as much about the places we see as it is about the people we meet and the experiences we share.
In conclusion, this overseas internship was an unparalleled experience that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking personal and professional enrichment. It was a journey that challenged me, inspired me, and ultimately, transformed me. The memories I’ve made, the skills I’ve acquired, and the friendships I’ve forged are treasures that I will carry with me long into the future.

Absolute internship review

Experience was great! Very fun activities and even better program leaders! I loved spending time together and they also respected our privacy and importance of our jobs. Very global experience where I got to see a lot of the entire country of France as well as become very familiar with different aspects of Paris. The job I had was amazing and I never felt like I was alone or lost or in trouble because of this program. I would tell anyone that is looking for international experience to try absolute internship 100%.

What was your funniest moment?
Definitely the meeting everyone activity or exploring Paris as a group
Pros
  • Activities
  • Leaders
Cons
