This was an amazing experience

Amazing experience with AIP! The meet up with the other students interning in Taiwan made the experience that much better! I want to thank nisha, roro, herlyn and the other AIP staff that made my overseas internship so fun and fuss-free! They arranged everything making it such a smooth and fuss free experience for me. When I applied, it was during my exam period which was a stressful time for me. But in the end AIP took care of everything and I went straight to Taiwan after my exams. I only had to book air tickets! Thanks for the amazing experience.

Great experience

Very friendly and helpful staff. It was a great internship experience arranged by them. I learned a lot of things outside of my school curriculum which really helpful for my future work and I appreciate all the help and support given to me by them.

In this internship experience, I also met a bunch of new people and learned important communication and social skills that are transferrable to future internships or work.

Overall, I think this was a wonderful experience and I would recommend trying it out!

1-Month Internship in Taiwan

Secured a 1-month internship in Taiwan under the AIP programme. Staff was very friendly and helpful in referring suitable companies and preparing me for the trip. Remaining in contact with AIP staff was relatively easy and process was smooth. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience in Taiwan all thanks to AIP. I recommend this programme to anybody who is looking for extensive personal growth and a change of environment. There are ample opportunities to learn and travel depending on the place of your stay.

Great Cultural Experience

My internship program was extremely smooth and well planned with the help of the AIP team Nisha, Roro, Kate, and Herlyn. They are helpful and responsive, and I had a great time in Taiwan thanks to their support and recommendations. They also arranged a welcome dinner for the students to meet which was very fun. During my internship, I got to attend events that the company organised and met people from all walks of life. I also experienced the authentic Taiwanese life for 5 weeks, getting to try all the delicious food and visit the beautiful mountains and heritage sites.

Taipei Internship

In December 2024, I began a 7-week internship in Taipei, Taiwan, made seamless by AIP's excellent support. The application process was straightforward, with their team guiding me every step of the way. Upon arrival, the Taipei-based AIP staff went above and beyond, offering valuable advice on travel and local cuisine. The AIP team was very responsive in times of emergency when I required medical service during my stay in Taipei. Roro (based in Taipei) was very helpful in finding the clinic for me and ensured that I was well.

Highly recommended, would do this again!

I really appreciate AIP for helping source for internships and arranging for interviews with companies overseas. Their reach for companies in different countries were very appreciated. Landed an internship in Taiwan with their guidance and it has the best experience. They also guided us with our entire pre-departure process and was very responsive when we had any questions. Grateful for the opportunity and hope other fellow interns will find their way around the world with AIP’s help! Recommended!!

Taiwan Internship

AIP helped to make my first internship experience in Taiwan a very rewarding one! The process of securing the internship was smooth and straightforward, with an AIP coordinator assuring me every step of the way. They helped me to connect with companies in fields I was interested in, and I learnt a lot throughout my 2 months in Taiwan. Although it took some time to get used to the culture here, I became very comfortable living in Taipei. I would recommend AIP to my peers if they want to experience an overseas internship!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Get a Taiwanese phone number.

With it, you get access to the LINE superapp. If you thought Grab could do almost everything, the LINE app in Taiwan beats it by a large, large margin. Not only can you pay for almost everything in Taiwan, you also get access to their streaming service and news app. Plus there's even a TikTok clone built into the app. It's insane. In general, it's good to get a Taiwanese phone number regardless to liaise with your company.
Pros
  • Smooth process of securing the internship
  • Contacts readily available
