Unique experience in La Manga with Pilar

Engaging in Pilar’s Spanish immersion program in La Manga del Mar Menor, Murcia, proved profoundly enriching. Her welcoming environment set the stage for an intensive language learning journey, with tailored lessons ensuring significant progress. Daily conversations with Pilar facilitated natural language practice and refinement, providing a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the Spanish language.

Exploring Murcia and Cartagena cities with Pilar's guidance offered unforgettable cultural immersion. From historic landmarks to local markets, every outing provided insight into Spanish culture. This program not only boosted my Spanish proficiency but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the rich heritage and traditions of Spain. Pilar’s dedication to teaching and her passion for sharing the beauty of Murcia made this experience truly unforgettable.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Of course I recommend this program, specially with Pilar, she has been an amazing teacher with whom I have learned a lot. Both the place and the private classes were exceptional despite my difficulty learning. I feel that the improvement was absolute and I plan to repeat this year but in Valencia, of course with Pilar to follow the lessons.

This immersion experience in Barcelona with Nanda was a game changer

Enrolling in the Spanish immersion program at Nanda’s house in Castelldefels, Barcelona, was a decision I'll forever cherish. From day one, Nanda’s welcoming demeanour created a supportive atmosphere for learning. The one-on-one lessons were tailored precisely to my skill level, ensuring steady progress while keeping the learning process enjoyable.

Living with a native speaker and professional teacher was a priceless advantage; it improved my speaking and listening skills immensely. Nanda’s expertise shone through in their patient explanations and creative teaching methods.

Beyond the classroom, exploring the Barcelona province with her guidance was a highlight. Castelldefels has beautiful long beaches, such as Playa de Castelldefels, known for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll and savored a delightful meal in a traditional restaurant. However, given Nanda's culinary skills, I was more inclined to dine at home than venture out.

Additionally, the town of Castelldefels offers historical sites like the Castelldefels Castle, providing a glimpse into its medieval past. We also explored the nearby Garraf Natural Park, which is truly breathtaking.

The city of Barcelona came alive as we navigated its streets. The Sagrada Familia's grandeur, the Gothic Quarter's historic charm, and the vibrant energy of Las Ramblas were amazing. Park Guell offered a serene escape and a nice break. Barcelona's highlights left an indelible mark on my heart. I need to come back to Barcelona and explore more of this amazing city and province in general.

This immersion experience not only honed my Spanish but also allowed me to connect with the city's rich culture and heritage in a meaningful way. I can't recommend this program enough to anyone seeking an authentic, effective, and culturally immersive way to learn Spanish.

Pros
  • Nanda's culinary skills are out of this world
  • Nanda and her sister were amazing

A really unique experience as a whole in Barcelona city centre with Ana & Raul

Taking part in the Spanish immersion program at the teacher's home in Barcelona city centre was an illuminating experience. Ana and Raul's warm hospitality immediately made me feel at ease, and their expert guidance facilitated rapid progress in my Spanish learning journey. Ana's customized lessons were tailored to my specific needs and interests, ensuring each session was both engaging and effective. She's an amazing Spanish teacher!

Living with a native speaker and qualified teacher proved transformative; my confidence in speaking Spanish flourished as I practiced in authentic contexts. Ana's infectious passion for the language, coupled with Raul's avid interest in art, enhanced my cultural understanding significantly. Raul, Ana's partner, served as an excellent tour guide during our excursions around Barcelona, introducing me to hidden gems and enriching my exploration of the city.

Exploring Barcelona under their guidance unveiled a plethora of authentic experiences that I wouldn't have encountered on my own. This immersion program seamlessly combines education with cultural immersion, making it an ideal choice for those seeking to learn Spanish while immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Barcelona.

Great experience!!

I am delighted with my experience in the Spanish immersion course in Murcia. I am immensely grateful to my teacher, Raquel, for being the key to improving my Spanish and overcoming the fear of speaking. Her ability to instill confidence was crucial in my fluency development.

The option to book both the course and the stay for my partner was a great decision, and I want to express my gratitude to Spanish Express for allowing Anna and me to share this unique experience in La Manga del Mar Menor.

Raquel, in addition to being an excellent teacher, showed exceptional hospitality, and I must mention that she cooks wonderfully. I wholeheartedly recommend this teacher-led immersion course.

I am excited to plan my next experience in Valencia. Thanks to everyone for making this experience an unforgettable moment! 🌟✨

Stunning

My immersion course at the homes of Raquel and Pilar was truly marvelous. In just three weeks, I witnessed a remarkable improvement in my spoken Spanish. Before booking, I underestimated the extent of its benefits, and I am profoundly grateful to Raquel and Pilar for their professionalism in Spanish instruction and for guiding me through the most enchanting places in Murcia and Cartagena, particularly during my stay in La Manga del Mar Menor.

I'm looking forward to repeating this experience in another city in Spain, and this time, I am eager to share it with my best friends. Perhaps at La Tomatina de Valencia!

I recommend this experience at 100%. It encompasses quality, professionalism, and exceptional human warmth.

The Best Week Spent with Monica

I can't put my experience into words. Honestly, I was skeptical about traveling abroad for a week and staying with a host teacher. However, Monica and her home truly embodied the essence of family. Her pets greeted me with warmth and open hearts.

My Spanish fluency significantly improved after all those conversations with Monica and her family. Her parents played a crucial role in the immersion process. They assisted me in practicing my Spanish at breakfast, lunch, dinner, evening tea, and almost all the time.

We went shopping, visited historical sites, and even had a party night at Monica's house. Overall, it was a joyous week that I spent in Barcelona with Spanish Express.

Our Spanish immersion in Girona was an unparalleled experience

Our Spanish immersion journey in Girona was absolutely fantastic, all thanks to the dynamic duo – the two Monicas! One Monica was not only an exceptional teacher but also a master of language acquisition, seamlessly blending structured lessons with personalized conversations tailored to our needs. And then there's the other Monica – a delightful entertainer and knowledgeable local guide who made us laugh at any occasion.

In the charming town of Sant Feliu de Guixols, we enjoyed moments just steps away from the tranquil beach. Our exploration extended beyond the sun-drenched shores to the historic streets of Girona city, where we were captivated by its ancient charm and rich culture.

In essence, our experience at the two Monicas' place was more than just about learning Spanish. It was a comprehensive journey into Spanish life, leaving us all enriched and inspired by the experience. I certainly love travelling with a group of friends that share the same interests about Spanish language and culture. We are already planning our next immersion programme with Spanish Express in Barcelona and Valencia.

Pros
  • Great option for a group of friends or family!
Cons
  • One week is too short. Alreay planning the next immersion programme in Valencia and Barcelona!

Unforgettable Spanish Immersion Adventure at the two Monica's Spot in Girona!

My Spanish immersion experience in Girona was absolutely incredible, especially with the dynamic duo of Monicas. From the get-go, the vibe was relaxed and cozy, and both Monicas were just awesome.

Monica 1 wasn't just a teacher; she was the ultimate language guru. Her teaching style was laid-back yet effective, mixing structured lessons with casual chats. She really got us and customized the lessons to match our travel plans. We seriously boosted our Spanish skills in record time! And let me tell you about Mónica 2 - she's a whole other level! An amazing entertainer, local guide, and more. We laughed so hard, our jaws hurt!

Now, let's talk about the location. It was simply incredible, nestled in the beauty of Girona province, in a charming town called Sant Feliu de Guixols, just a stone's throw from the beach. It was the perfect spot for our group to learn and have a blast together.

Besides beach days, we also explored Girona city, which was bursting with history and charm. Those narrow streets and ancient buildings really immersed us in Spanish culture.
Overall, our time at the two Monicas' place was way beyond just learning Spanish. It felt like a complete dive into Spanish life, and every moment was an absolute joy.

What was your funniest moment?
One moment that wasn't exactly funny, but definitely memorable, was when we attempted to cook a traditional Spanish dish together in the kitchen. Let's just say, our culinary skills didn't quite match our enthusiasm, and we ended up with a dish that was... let's call it "unique." Despite the mishaps, we laughed it off and ended up ordering takeout instead. It was a reminder that sometimes the best memories are made in the midst of chaos and failed cooking experiments!
Pros
  • Going as a group is definitely the way to go!
  • The duo of hosts and teachers is absolutely fantastic!
Cons
  • A week flies by too quickly! Next time, we're planning a two-week adventure: one week in Barcelona and another in Valencia!
