Great introduction into Chinese culture and the Chinese Language. My favorite thing was the attentiveness of the teacher, the small group class, and the fitness studio on the campus.

I had been doing Duolingo for over 1 year, and still started as a total beginner. I had a decent vocabulary, but my teacher really helped focus on my weaknesses (which was pronunciation).

I’m sure there are cheaper schools to go to, but Keats school offers many things for westerners to get acclimated. They have also curated a nice learning atmosphere of curriculum and culture.

Overall my experience was pretty good. I was here for 13 weeks. All of my teachers, Teacher Li, Teacher Yin, and Teacher Du were all very nice and very friendly. They were very helpful to explain any questions I had and would pause the lesson to fully explain until I understood. The teaching styles between all of them were different, but they seemed pretty adaptable. I also thought they were pretty fun which helped me stay engaged in the lessons. All the teachers were available whenever you needed them, and would go out of their way to help with things irrelevant to Chinese which was really nice of them.

I think my Chinese improved a decent amount, especially my reading. I think my speaking and listening skills I had more trouble with but I probably should have practiced more with my teacher.

Most of the excursions were very interesting and fun, and the teachers would be flexible if you wanted to go somewhere else which was nice. Shanghai itself is worth seeing if you like big cities, and the subway and bus are so convenient.

The location of the building itself was very good, very very close to West Nanjing Road and very central to most of Shanghai. The classrooms were in the apt building right next to my apt.

After studying Mandarin for a few years mostly on my own, I decided the only way to make real progress was to study in China. The information I found on the Keats School website really appealed to me. The daily 4 hours of study combined with visits around the city and excursions further afield sounded wonderful. Plus, staying on campus in a central and convenient location seemed ideal.

I have not been disappointed. I have found the school to be well organised and very professional. The teachers are well prepared and have the right skills to make the classes challenging but fun.

Before my arrival I had registered for group lessons. The school was incredibly flexible and attentive to my learning level. They did their best to accommodate me, and by the second week I joined a more suitable group. To maximize my learning progress, I switched to private sessions, which the school organised seamlessly. During my four weeks of study, I learned from 3 excellent teachers and met many more teachers through various school activities. All the teachers are friendly, patient, and dedicated to helping students improve their Chinese skills and enjoy their time in China.

The school welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds, ages and abilities, and we all share the same passion for learning Chinese. The school builds a warm, supportive and friendly atmosphere through diverse activities and thoughtful community support. Wang took great care of all students during my stay, making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Willow and Wang are always available to help with any questions and support students whenever needed. I met many lovely, interesting people at the school and hope to keep in touch with them.

There are many returning and long-stay students at Keats School, and they all speak highly of the school and are very satisfied with their learning experience here.

The school’s organised excursions were fantastic, and our Mid Autumn Festival gathering was incredibly enjoyable and memorable.

The school enjoys an excellent central location with amazing surrounding facilities. Right opposite the school is a wonderful olympic-size swimming pool and tennis courts. There is a professional massage shop behind the school, as well as a ballet school nearby. The area is surrounded by many convenient and exciting places to explore.

I highly recommend Keats School. This study experience has greatly boosted my passion for learning this beautiful language, and I sincerely hope I can come back to study here again in the future.

I did an intensive course and i think it was the best decision. With just a week i felt i made a lot of progress with my chinese. The teacher method was really great, as we spoke a lot, and was able to practice my speaking skills. We also practiced my grammar, writting and listening. The school is really nice, has a huge terrace where i could spend my breaks. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants to practice their Chinese, the city is amazing as well, many coffe shops to study.

I had an amazing experience during my one-month stay in China, and a big part of that was thanks to my two wonderful Chinese teachers. Both of them were incredibly patient, kind, supportive, and encouraging throughout the entire month.
They each brought their own teaching style and personality to the lessons, which made learning Chinese enjoyable, engaging, and much less intimidating. They always took the time to explain things clearly, correct my mistakes in a positive way, and help me become more confident when speaking.
I especially appreciated how they connected our lessons to real-life situations and Chinese culture. This made the learning experience feel much more authentic and helped me understand not only the language, but also the culture and everyday life in China.
After just one month, I could already see a noticeable improvement in my Chinese, and I felt much more comfortable using the language in everyday situations.
I am extremely grateful to both teachers for their dedication, patience, and support. They made my stay in China even more memorable, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to learn Chinese and experience the culture at the same time.

My experience at Keats School in Kunming has exceeded my expectations in every respect. I came for an intensive 1-to-1 Chinese course, studying 6 hours a day, and after 30 days I can honestly say that this has been one of the most rewarding language-learning experiences I have ever had. If you are serious about improving your Chinese and want to combine high-quality teaching with genuine cultural immersion, I can wholeheartedly recommend Keats School and Kunming.

The first thing that really impressed me was the high level of the teachers. They are skilled, professional, patient, encouraging, and genuinely committed to helping students improve. With six hours of individual lessons every day, I expected the course to be demanding, but the teachers managed to keep the lessons engaging and adapted the teaching to my level, needs, and progress. Having a dedicated teacher focused entirely on you makes a huge difference. I felt that every lesson had a clear purpose, and I could see my Chinese improving throughout the month. In fact, my study results have been above my expectations, which is probably the best evidence of how effective the teaching has been.

The second major strength is the school's organization. Everything is extremely well organized, while at the same time the atmosphere remains very friendly and welcoming. The staff are highly committed, always ready to help, and make you feel supported throughout your stay. From the lessons to the accommodation and daily practical matters, I always felt that things were taken care of. The hotel room and service were excellent, and the food was generally very good as well. This combination of professional organization, excellent teachers, and personal attention creates a learning environment where you can concentrate completely on your Chinese.

Another huge advantage is Kunming itself. The weather during my 30 days was fantastic and truly deserves the nickname “Spring City.” I enjoyed around 20–26°C, plenty of sunshine, a light breeze, and very comfortable temperatures. I also did not feel the pollution that I have experienced in some other major Chinese cities. The climate makes it easy to spend time outside, explore the city, and enjoy life after classes.

More importantly, Kunming is a fantastic place for full immersion in Chinese. Compared with many major cities on the east coast, foreigners are relatively few, and restaurants often do not have English menus. For me, this was a great advantage rather than a difficulty. It encouraged me to use Chinese in everyday situations and made the language part of my daily life, not just something I practiced in the classroom.

There is also plenty to do, both with the school and independently. I enjoyed many different activities and experiences during my stay. I particularly loved the quiet atmosphere of Yuantong Temple, the completely different energy and craziness of the night market in the old town, and the incredible beauty of the Stone Forest. The school also organizes sports evenings, which are a great way to relax after classes, stay active, and get to know the other students. At the same time, it is very easy to organize activities, dinners, or sports with other students independently. There is always something to do, whether you want to join a school activity, explore Kunming with classmates, or simply discover the city on your own.

And of course, the food is delicious. From street food to small local food shops and nice restaurants, there are endless opportunities to eat well and discover new dishes. It is another great part of the immersion experience.

One thing I also really appreciated was meeting other students. Many of the people I met had already been to Keats School before or were returning because of their positive experiences. After spending a month here, I completely understand why. I would also do whatever I can to come back in the future.

Overall, Keats School has given me much more than just Chinese lessons. It has provided excellent teachers, outstanding organization, a comfortable environment, real cultural immersion, and results that have surpassed my expectations. Kunming itself is a wonderful city in which to study, live, explore, eat, and practice Chinese every day.

As I said, I am already looking forward to continuing my Chinese studies and coming back to Kunming and Keats School. After 30 days, I leave with improved Chinese, many great memories, and a strong feeling that this is only the beginning. Five stars without hesitation!

I spent a week at Keats in Kunming and it was a great experience. Everyone was helpful and friendly, especially the teachers. Kunming is a super relaxed and chilled out place, it really reminded me a lot of California in that sense. People aren't rushed at all, they take the time to chat with you on the streets, and have a real sense of enjoying life, unlike some bigger cities that I've been to in China. I bonded with a couple of the students during my short time there, which was a pleasant surprise. I found that the teaching style is very adaptable to what each student needs.

My experience at Keats School has been very positive from the beginning. The school offers a very professional and well-organized environment, and I felt supported throughout my time here.

The Chinese classes were one of the highlights of my experience. Having one-on-one lessons made a big difference because the teacher could adapt the classes to my level, difficulties, and personal goals. My teacher was patient, attentive, and always willing to explain things in different ways when I had difficulties understanding something. I also appreciated the focus on practical Chinese and real communication, not only textbooks and grammar.

The accommodation at the school itself was also very convenient and comfortable. Staying in the same place where I had my classes made my daily routine much easier. I could simply walk from my room to the classroom, which saved a lot of time and energy and allowed me to focus more on studying. The location in Kunming is also very convenient, giving students plenty of opportunities to practice Chinese in everyday situations outside the classroom.

I also really appreciated the staff and overall support. Everyone I interacted with was professional, friendly, and willing to help whenever I had questions or needed assistance. From administrative matters to daily issues, I never felt like I was left on my own.

The school environment is another thing I enjoyed. It is international, but at the same time it encourages students to actually experience Chinese language and culture. Being surrounded by other students from different countries also creates a nice atmosphere for exchanging experiences.

Overall, Keats gave me a very good environment to study Chinese, live in China, and improve my confidence in communicating in Mandarin. I am very grateful for the teachers, staff, accommodation, and the whole experience, and I would definitely recommend Keats to someone who wants to seriously study Chinese in China.

Hii my name is Lisa and I decided to take the Keats language program this year which was the best experience of my whole life. Referring to the classes my teacher Su laoshi was the best. Her teaching strategies and skills were awesome and helped me a lot by improving my language learning process. She was super super kind and so wholesome and helpful every lesson. I have never had a teacher before which taught me a language this good in this short term period. I'm so glad she got to be my teacher and I would love to have classes with her again!!! I don't have any bad criticisms about this school I can only say everything was literally perfect the people auntis, advisor, teachers everyone is sooo welcoming and friendly it just feels like a tamily when you stay there .

I think Keats School is an excellent Chinese language school in China. Everything here is great. The school has a lovely environment and fantastic teaching quality.
The teachers are wonderful and patient. My teacher is Ms. Jiang. She is diligent, kind and very patient. She has helped me a lot with my Chinese studies. I feel my Chinese has improved greatly since I started studying here. I am satisfied with everything. I also like Kunming very much.
The classes are lively and well-planned. Teacher always makes Chinese lessons interesting and easy to understand. She encourages me to speak more and never gets upset when I make mistakes. I really enjoy my time at Keats School. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn Chinese well.
