Absolute internship was a great experience. There were initial stresses with the internship aspect since I didn't get placed until the day I arrived in Tokyo, but I ended up meeting some incredible people and learning lots of new skills at work. Additionally, the staff at Absolute who were with us (program coordinators) in Tokyo were such lovely people. They were able to be reached very quickly and were very organized during planned trips with all the students. Furthermore, their friendly demeanor eased the nerves of going to a foreign country! The most memorable moments were the unplanned, spontaneous trips and memories made outside of work with other students. The group I came in with are some of my favorite people, and I still am in contact with them today! Highly recommend!

I had an international marketing internship in Barcelona over the spring term and was placed with a start up entrepreneur networking community for my time there. My role involved managing social media, and helping to organize company events. I learned how to quickly navigate a completely different type of work environment and communicate in ways that were a bit out of my comfort zone. I think I adapted really well to the Spanish work/living style and felt like I fit in pretty well after about 2 weeks of being there. Because my company was international, we communicated in English which meant that I wasn't able to practice my Spanish as much as I had hoped. The thing about the program that I didn't enjoy was the living situation. Because it was individual dorms where we weren't allowed guests and freedom it felt very isolating and made me feel depressed.

My experience with the company was incredibly positive from start to finish. One of the aspects I appreciated most was how helpful and supportive they were in securing a direct internship placement that closely aligned with both my career goals and my area of academic study. From the very beginning, it was clear that they took the time to understand my interests, strengths, and aspirations, and used that information to connect me with an internship that would offer meaningful professional growth. This personalized approach made me feel confident that I wasn’t just being placed anywhere, but rather somewhere that would truly help me grow and succeed.

My internship in Seoul was an incredible, life-changing experience that helped me rediscover my passions and build confidence. My internship in London is definitely one that will live on with me forever as it not only taught me about the professional workplace but it was also my first time living independently in a foreign country. I have learnt numerous soft and hard skills that will be extremely useful later on in my life whether it is career related or life in general. The friends I made from this experience is something that I won't forget as well due to our shared experiences and how we helped each other navigate this new environment.

My Internship at Corzo de Dios was a very engaging one, being given a comprehensive role in assisting the team with 3D modeling and visualizations for a client, alongside further tasks as required.

This provided a unique insight into contemporary practice in Madrid & how architecture functions in Spain, alongside broader insight into European trends.

The firm had a positive culture, which was good to experience as someone entering a field known for being tough to handle; this provided a clear goal on the type of firms I would like to work for moving forward.
