Paris internship

I had such a great summer in Paris and met so many fun people. Our team leader Aurore helped organise so many fun activities for everyone and made sure that everyone was supported. I really feel like I got to know Paris during the short time I was there, and I loved every moment. The accommodation was super comfortable and good location, and I learned so many invaluable skills at my internship. It made such a difference adding this experience to my CV. If I’d have known how great it was going to be I would have definitely stayed longer.

Great summer experience in Paris

It was such a memorable summer. Everyone was so friendly, and there were constantly activities to get to know the other interns better. Aurore was so nice and supportive the whole time and she greeted us with a picnic on a boat! And it was very easy to get support all the time. There were tours around the city, dinners together, visits together etc. On top of that, I got to intern in a cool firm so I also got industry experience out of it and learned a lot. It was a great start to a wholly amazing experience :)

10/10 Paris Experience

I enjoyed every second of my time in Paris. The program was amazing and I was able to experience so many exciting things. I felt like I had the freedom to do whatever I wanted but it was also nice to have planned events with the program. I made long lasting friendships and got to experience so much of the beautiful city of Paris. Our housing situation was great, would have been nice to be a little closer to the city but there was a metro stop nearby so super easy. Had a super fun time and met really cool people.

Savanna Review

I studied in Paris in the summer of 2022. I was there for the marketing internship program. Aurore provided really great support and was so helpful in making sure we all knew how to navigate the city and that we were all having fun and enjoying our internships. The activities arranged through Absolute Internship were really well thought out and I appreciated that we got to see places outside of Paris. I felt like Aurore was very competent and I trusted her to do her job, but she also was very fun and spent time with us.

Amazing Experience with Aurore

Absolute Internship was amazing. The programme with Absolute was a fun and a good learning experience.

My team leader Aurore was brilliant, always there for me when I needed her and welcomed me in so many different ways. She was helpful, funny and it felt she was more of a friend than a coordinator.

An absolutely amazing experience, and one that I have made many memories from. Will be something that I never forget.

This internship was my first ever travel/experience to Europe and it was 10/10.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Would stay for longer :)
Pros
  • Build communication skills
  • Learn different cultures
  • Team work and Building C.V

Amazing experience

I had the pleasure of joining absolute internship in lisbon, portugal for a sales and marketing internship. I was matched with a fast growing tech company. The housing was good and the day trips were amazing. Moreover, the coordinators were very friendly and I will absolutely do it again if i had the chance. Portugal was also a vibrant place with many cultures. You will easily make friends with anyone.

Overall, Amazing experience, amazing day trips, and a very positive environment. Absolutely recommend to anyone.

Amazing Program!

Loved how easy and worry-free my transition was coming into a foreign country. The staff were friendly and supportive! The Internship itself was well tailored, interesting, and a great experience to build my resume. The program provided group activities in the city as well as travel in and around Spain which were organized and fun! Overall, my time in the program was great. I was able to grow professionally while enjoying a wonderful travel experience with great people and a supportive team if people behind the scenes !

Absolute Internship with Aurore

2 summers ago, I was lucky enough to spend 8 weeks in Paris with Absolute doing a business development internship. I had a fantastic experience with people from my school and around the world. I made great friends and gained valuable experience at my job. Aurore was an amazing program lead. She was so helpful, kind, and funny, and truly became one of my friends on the trip. Some of my favorite memories were the weekend trips and activities that she planned. One special memory I have was canoeing and swimming when we were nearby Strasbourg. Anyways, if you can do an internship abroad, do it! Best experience, just really think about what you want to intern in and what goals you want to use the experience to further.

Absolute Internship Review

It has been two years (almost to the day) since I had the opportunity to intern in Barcelona, Spain as a member of the Absolute Internship program. Reflecting on my time abroad I can easily say that the experience is one of the most important in my lives and the Absolute team played a major role. The housing accommodations were top notch. The rooms were both clean and modern. Freshly prepared meals were available multiple times throughout each day. Internship placement was thoughtful. The majority of the people in my program enjoyed their specific internship pairing. We were challenged, immersed, and guided by the Absolute leadership during many cultural events. I reflect fondly on our group taking a bus to a winery forty minutes outside of Barcelona. The regular group dinners sponsored by Absolute Internship were at beautiful restaurants that not only served delicious food but also brought relevant perspective on the regions delicacies. Lastly, the care and precision the Absolute team approached career readiness is second to none. They crafted sessions dedicated to improving our resumes, LinkedIn profiles, interview tactics, and career selection processes. That said, the Absolute Internship is fantastic. My experience will forever be one of my most fond. And while I am certain there is a vast array of fantastic programs, finding one that merges cultural appreciation with real world career acumen to the degree of excellence that Absolute Internship does would be an uphill battle.

Best summer ever!

My internship in Paris was the best summer of my life. I had been diagnosed with cervical cancer the summer before and had 3 surgeries before having my tumor removed and being medically cleared. I went into the internship with an open mind and spirit and it was better than anything I imagined. I got great work experience and got to see what it would be like having a full time job after college. The cultural experience I gained really helped me to get the post college job I have now which is working for a non profit with children from all over the world.

What was your funniest moment?
I met a bartender in Paris at a random bar my group went into and after talking to her realized she was friends with someone I knew from high school. I got our whole group a round of free shots. It was the funniest thing to run into someone on the other side of the world, I’m from LA, and have a connection with them. It makes you realize how small the world really is and the things you can discover by being friendly.
Pros
  • Language/communication building skills
  • Culture shock understanding
  • Professional skills
Cons
  • Not long enough
  • Bad communication pre departure
  • Knowledge of cost of things prior to going
