My internship in Barcelona was a pivotal experience that not only enhanced my skills but also directly created opportunities for my career and entrepreneurial journey. Leading key projects during the internship sharpened my project management and strategic planning abilities, which made me a stronger candidate in job applications. The hands-on experience allowed me to build a portfolio that highlights my capability to drive projects to success, significantly boosting my professional appeal. Additionally, the connections and mentorship I gained during the internship were invaluable when I decided to start my own business. The exposure to innovative business practices in Barcelona inspired me to pursue entrepreneurship, and the skills I developed helped me confidently navigate the challenges of launching a new venture. This experience provided the foundation I needed to succeed both as a job applicant and a business owner.

This past summer, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in an internship program in Barcelona that truly changed my life. From fulfilling long-held dreams to making lasting global connections, this experience was nothing short of transformative.

After 8 years of dreaming, I finally realized my goal of having an international experience. Living on a university campus in Barcelona allowed me to meet people from all over the world and practice both Spanish and English. I chose Barcelona to improve my Spanish, and while the internship was in English, which was great for practice, speaking and using Spanish daily was an incredible opportunity.

I visited six new cities and towns, including Barcelona, L’Estartit, and Carcassonne during the program trips. Afterward, I spent an additional week in Spain, exploring Madrid, Toledo, and Segovia. Barcelona has now become one of my favorite places. This program also introduced me to people from around the world. I enjoyed comparing our cultures, discovering our commonalities, and celebrating our differences. I experienced a bit of Spanish culture and glimpses of many others.

This was my first internship, and I applied my marketing skills while observing the organizational culture of a Barcelona startup. Additionally, as an Absolute Creator, I produced content for social media, including videos and photos. I made lasting global connections during my internship and with the program coordinators and fellow students, who I now proudly call friends.

joining the Madrid program is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. Madrid was so amazing! I made new friends, met new people, and got to experience a new culture. my internship was so great, I will definitely miss the people there, and a shoutout to the absolute team who were there for me to guide me throughout my time in Madrid. this is the best moment that I've had in my life, not only did I grow professionally but also personally. I feel like I have become more confident and learned to be more independent. if I could do it again, I would!

Joining this program is one of the greatest decisions I’ve made in my life. I had a wonderful time in Barcelona. The experiences that I had in the internship and Barcelona were out of my expectations but in a fabulous way. I made new friends and people, got to know different cultures, and tried new things such as being an event assistant during my internship. Also, I would say the people are the highlight of my internship. The staff from Absolute Internship, the interns, people from my company, and Barcelona are amazing. This is the happiest moment that I’ve had in my life. Wish I could turn back the clock!

When I first heard about this program, I was thrilled to check it out. I was already spending a semester abroad and the thought of adding to that experience with an internship was something I couldn't pass up. I learned so much throughout this trip, from learning about my major in another language and learning technical words in Spanish, to the friends I made along the way. The program set us up in a wonderful residencia far enough away from the city to be away from the chaos, but close enough to all the subway systems that it only took less than 30 minutes to get anywhere worthwhile in Barcelona. I highly recommend this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Madrid is a great place to intern abroad especially if it is your first time traveling alone. The locals are friendly, the public transportation is amazing, and I felt very safe throughout my entire experience. Absolute internship is a good option if you are lost trying to arrange an internship abroad. They will connect you with companies that align closely with your career goals and help to establish lasting connections to help you grow in your career. The program made it very easy to make friends to explore the city with.

Absolute internship not only provided me with lifelong friends and a summer full of memories, but it also provided me with professional experience. I was able to expand my network, with alumni and with people in Spain. Learning about the work, life balance in Spain was an eye opening experience because of how different it is from company cultures in the United States. The program sets up weekend trips, day trips, and cultural activities that were always a great time and the program coordinators have plenty of recommendations for food, nightlife, and travel!

Absolute Internship provides its interns with such a nice community while abroad and the trips and activities we were able to go on were a highlight of my time overseas. I felt more secure knowing I had people I could reach out to and I loved the company I interned at. Your experience may vary depending on where you intern but I think you can make the most of wherever you work. Absolute Internship was also very helpful in coordinating transportation and the housing situation was very convenient.

The internship program with Absolute was truly a dream come true, as it allowed me to explore my passion for international law right in the heart of Paris! I was thrilled to gain insights into French law while building a close relationship with my incredible mentor, Maitre Richard. His dedication to providing me with a diverse experience, from corporate to sports law, went far beyond his specialty in real estate and urban law. I particularly loved working on projects related to legal neutral evaluation, an emerging area in France, and collaborating on a white paper and presentations about mediation in urban development. These experiences deepened my legal knowledge and helped me discover the areas of law that truly resonate with me. Additionally, what made this experience even more special was the amazing support from the program coordinators, who were always there to help and guide us. They organized unforgettable events, like a picnic by the Eiffel Tower and scenic boat rides along the Seine, which made the internship not just educational but also filled with fun and camaraderie. Moreover, this internship provided me with a well-rounded perspective on different legal careers, beyond just litigation. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity, the support, and the unforgettable experiences that have brought me closer to my dream of working in international law and clarified my future career path.
