I've enjoyed the content from the first lesson, throughout the whole course. It's a user friendly platform, and systematically played out from the basics you need to know in teaching English to foreign students, to the more advanced details which will equip you to be an excellent TEFL teacher.
I found all content and exercises applicable to teaching ESL students, both in person and online.
I'll highly recommend any prospective TEFL teacher to complete a course through TTA...it's money well spent, and time well invested in one's own education.

At 42 I knew I needed a career change but I didn’t know how to make study fit around my work and family life. Many TEFL/ESL courses require you to study full time, in person. My love and passion for education pushes me to learn new things whenever given the opportunity. Enrolling in TTA for a TEFL diploma is one of the best decisions I have made this year. I was able to do the lessons during my free time at work since all I needed was my laptop computer (and sometimes my headset when I had to watch videos). Also, I enjoyed learning about the history of English and teaching English as a second language. I have no regrets in enrolling in the course as I was able to learn many new things while applying these concepts at work.

I have spent countless time to decide which TEFL course was the best fit. Not just regarding money but also the course. I have found out that the TEFL level 5 course to be quite engaging and resourceful. It has taught me things about teaching a language eventhough I have been teaching for 5 years. The support team was responsive and helpful too. Even the assignment, which are actually projects, are challenging enough to prepare you for any kind/type of class. It helps you boost your class confidence and equips you with the necessary tools. I would recommend it to anyone looking to advance their career in teaching English.

I found the program quite engaging and informative. It was resourceful even though I would have preferred more insights on how to teach IELTS or TOEFL tests since they were included as part of the units. Rather than that the experience was very good. I appreciate the help received when I had issues and also the replies from the tutors were very fast. I already was familiar with the vast majority of the things because I already have experience in teaching and I hold a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree plus a teacher license. I was hoping this certificate would help me apply abroad for an online teaching job which is quite hard to find especially when not based in a native speaking English country.

Excellent service, platform and course outline!!!!

My only note is that even though it was ultra interactive with the assignments and focusing on the most important aspects of lesson planning, classroom management, and among other crucial skills. I believe there is always room for more interaction and more actionable ways to absorb the content. But overall is a 10!!! You will learn to become proficient even if you are just starting out or thought lesson planning was just a simple/random task. And have plenty of time to both complete the programme and revisit it if needed.

Oh! And the TEFL tutors are AWESOME!

I really enjoyed this course, I was taught more from this course than when I was in school - a lot of it I was never even taught - I even contacted old school friends who agreed that we did not learn these things!
It challenged me and I would definitely recommend - I would not say it is easy by any stretch of the imagination. Learning to teach someone English - when it is a language you have spoken your whole life, is interesting, challenging and very rewarding! We take our abilities for granted.

I was considering relocating to Asia from Europe, and at that time, the TEFL course seemed like a quicker route into teaching. Even though I hold a Master’s degree in Pedagogy and have a few years of school teaching experience, I found this course to be extremely valuable and efficient. Academic programs often lack the kind of deep, practical content that this TEFL course provides, especially in terms of real classroom application.

Now, I got my certificate, I can’t help but reflect on my previous teaching experiences. I realise that my lessons were often quite boring and not engaging for students — even though we were following strict government curriculum plans. The constant change of new material from lesson to lesson made it difficult for students to retain what they had learned.

This experience has made me reconsider my approach. I now understand that delivering an engaging, meaningful lesson requires more than just following a syllabus. It demands thoughtful planning, interaction, and strategies to help students connect with the material. So, moving forward, I need to carefully reflect on whether I want to return to teaching, and more importantly, whether I can deliver the kind of dynamic and effective lessons that truly support student learning.

This course was an amazing add-on to my exosting base and experience.

I started this course because I was curious. I was curious how life can give us the capacity to grow in so many directions. The more I learn, the more I realize that each new experience creates a mosaic of learning and self-discovery. I truly recommend this course, because it was fun, engaging and the tutors were really responsive and helpful even if everything was online. The course was well structured and easy to follow and the opportunities are plenty after finishing it. It’s funny because it was an adventure but the adventures just begins! I’m excited to see what comes next and I don’t regret taking this road!

I really enjoyed all the lessons, materials and exercises within The TEFL Academy Level 5 Online Course. I have learned a lot through their carefully planned assignments and I can't wait to put my knowledge into practice. I feel more competent after finishing this course and I can also say that I feel more complete not only as a teacher, but as a person. Thanks to this course, I deepened my knowledge of teaching in general, given the fact that I am also a music teacher. I have learned a lot about the process of comprehensive language acquisition including all of the core language skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking).
