I had never done an online course before even though I have studied several degrees face to face so I was a little sceptical. But once into the course, I found the experience very positive. I could work at my own pace and the engaging material kept me motivated. I was perhaps surprised how detailed and intensive the three assignments were harder than I expected! But this was very good because they forced me to think and produce material that would be helpful for my goal of supporting students in Vietnam with their English studies. The admin and tutor support were also very good. I received very quick responses to my questions which were few since the instructions and video support for the assignments was thorough. Yes, I strongly recommend this course.

TEFL, or Teaching English as a Foreign Language, is a course designed for individuals who want to teach English to non-native speakers. I recently completed a TEFL course and would like to share my thoughts on the experience.

I really enjoyed my course with the TEFL Academy. I found the content useful and engaging. The job board is especially useful. Since completing my TEFL I have had several job interviews including for a position I am particularly interested in. The TEFL course has given me a strong base to continue to persue a career as an English teacher in Latin America.

The course itself (Level 5 online) was engaging, informative, and challenging in the best way. I was working full-time and could only do my assignments late at night. One of the greatest things was that the support team was available 24/7, even at 3am! The material was easy to understand and even made me want to do my own study outside of course work.

I can't recommend this course enough for individuals who are considering going into a career involving teaching English abroad or simply those who want to improve skills in communication. This course is easy to balance with work or school (coming from a student who was completing the last year of my degree simultaneously with this course). In conclusion, I highly recommend to anyone contemplating achieving this level 5 certificate.

The content was diverse which meant it was engaging and fun to learn, there were videos, reading exercises, listening exercises and more! I had the best experience with TTA Academy. It was everything I expected and so much more. All the lessons were unique and easy to understand. It takes about six months to finish the course but I managed to do it in a month. Material is great and I got access to some great links and sites. Tutor support was very fast and helpful. All my assignments were graded within few days. I have always recieved clear feedback on my work. I enrolled while they had a sale for the program and got it for a great price. Five to seven days after finishing my course I recieved my PDF certificate.

This was a unique experience for me because I got to develop my teaching skills at home in my own time. I was able to practice designing my own lesson plans and understanding the different ways that different nationalities and levels of students understood and approaching vocabulary. Each module covered a different aspect of language, some of which I would have struggled myself with without doing the course. I am much more confident in deciding what words and phrases need to be taught depending on the level of the class and the topic they are being introduced to. When doing my assignments, the tutors were very helpful with giving me constructive feedback that would help to push my work further for the future. The 10 hour class course was also very productive because whilst doing the course I got to learn all about some of the challenges that both teachers and students can face when being in a classroom. I came up with ways to get the class to engage with a vocabulary activity.

This course is perfect for those with busy lifestyles (full-time jobs, family, etcetera) because you can make your own schedule and work when it suits you. This course is also perfect for those who want to begin their careers teaching and who have a keen interest in languages. It opens so many opportunities to work abroad and to travel. It also provides an opportunity for those who wish to work from home and teach online. The online format is very accessible for people with physical disabilities who wish to further their studies and skills.

From the beginning of the course I knew exactly what I need to know. Material is well prepared. Felt confident throughout. The fact that you can access and ask the tutors for assistance and guidance is very helpful. Even without my background as an educator there is ALWAYs room for improvement and how I can sharpen my skills. I'm grateful that they provide us with more resources to help with the preparation for the lesson planning. The future is made possible and an opportunity for the OVER WORKED educator.
