Online Level 3 TEFL Course with the TEFL Academy

I love a good online, self-paced course. They're difficult to come by as I prefer to learn in-person. Unfortunately I've been too busy to take an in-person course and The TEFL Academy's online course for TEFL certification was a great option. As an educator, it provided me with a solid foundation for teaching English as a foreign language. It's inspired me to take more courses with them to be able to expand my knowledge and potentially get some virtual practice (as they offer an observation course.)

I personally really liked the forums built into the course, even though the course material is online, the interactive platform makes you feel like you are part of an exciting community where you can brainstorm together.

The tests and exercises were fully in line with the course material, and it was easy to consult the teachers for questions and help.

The biggest challenge for me was completing the assignments. The feedback after the assignments was fully constructive, a lot can be learned from them.

All in all, I think the course is a good foundation for an EFL teaching career.

I recently had the pleasure of taking a TEFL Level 3 course, and I must say that I was extremely satisfied with every aspect of it. Overall, my experience with this course exceeded my expectations. The quality of the content, the well-thought-out structure, and the exceptional support all contributed to a highly satisfying learning journey.

I absolutely loved this course and am excited to start using my TEFL certificate to explore ESL tutoring opportunities, both remote and overseas. The tutors were incredibly responsive, supportive, and provided valuable feedback. The assignments were practical, engaging, and helped me discover useful resources for my teaching career. This course truly boosted my confidence in lesson planning and classroom management. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get certified and build a strong foundation in ESL teaching!

I enjoyed learning how to teach online.

I have experience with teaching in person but now I feel confident to teach online as well. I found that this course showed me many new websites and materials that I can use to aid in my online teaching. I have never taught learners older than 9 years old but I am English-speaking and know how the language is structured so I am excited to share my knowledge of English with learners who are not native English speakers.

I walk away feeling excited to teach which is a feeling I haven't felt in a while.

An inexpensive, comprehensive course tailored to meet the needs of both inexperienced and experienced teachers. The course was targeted at teaching online and in the classroom and gave great tips. The videos were good and gave ‘top TEFL tips’ which helped, and the lesson planning template was good.

I would say that one thing that the course lacked a little would be suggested lesson content. I know this can be hard to do as learners are often of different ages and abilities but this would have helped

The online course provided information that I believe is very useful when beginning the TEFL journey. I learned so much and quickly finished the course in about 2-3 months. The support team was really helpful and graded my assignments according to their rubric. I thought they were going to take a week to respond, but they responded back with helpful information in a timely manner. They give great feedback on the assignments and give suggestions on what needs improvement. I would recommend this to those who want to start their TEFL journey as this course is beginner friendly.

Going into the level 3 120-hour course I was excited but also hoped it wouldn't take me too long to finish and, in all honesty, I got it done in like 2.5 weeks and I was working a 9-5 so i dedicated like an hour a day but made sure I did my best to finish a module in a day. The content is good, and they have a bunch of extra resources as well for you to download so that was nice. So, if you are interested in doing this, I think it's worth it plus it's not so expensive either and I don't think it's necessary to go for the level 5 if you just want to get the certificate.
