Recently, I finished my TEFL course with TTA, and I must say, I couldn't be more satisfied. Complex yet perfectly fitted assignments for course objectives have challenged me to think critically and apply everything learned in practical scenarios. The instructor feedback was amazingly detailed and constructive; it showed me where I needed to improve. Also, the content was comprehensive, well-structured, and covered all the essential points necessary for one to later on have a very successful career in teaching English. It really equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to feel confident in my teaching abilities.

Attending the Online Level 5 Course at The TEFL Academy was so exciting!
The course is perfectly structured and covers thoroughly all language parts and the four language skills a teacher must teach.
The online text explains the information clearly; it provides examples, situations, and references. It also contains links to other parts of the course dealing with the cited topic. Thus, the information is recycled and it becomes easier to remember what you have learned.
Even though it is an online course, I felt part of a community and never felt alone. I think this is quite special. This is one of the reasons why I so much appreciate The TEFL Academy course, and I tell you why. First, at the end of each topic you test your knowledge. You shall pass the test to move on. This made me feel involved: I thought I could check my learning, it doesn’t matter how. Secondly, whenever I had a problem or was curious about something I asked for a teacher's support, and received an immediate reply. Third, I attended a weekly non-mandatory webinar: the teachers were extremely professional, gave lots of information, and answered to students’ questions. Thus, I virtually met other students and this was very interesting.
As the acronym TEFL means, the course teaches how to teach English as a foreign language. The TEFL Academy course comprehensively provides all the skills a teacher needs with non-native English: in a monolingual class, a multilingual class, or individual lessons. This particular detail is the focus of the course. It is interesting to learn that as a teacher you must use only English, a foreign language, whatever the students’ level and age. You might think that’s hard with a beginner's class. The TEFL Academy course explains why the teacher must speak English and only English and how s/he makes the students understand what s/he is saying. I learned lots of tricks that helped me teach with fun. Also, I learned many games to use during lessons: my lessons are now exciting and involve my students.
The TEFL Academy course provides teaching materials and shows how to use it. Online materials are also included. A teacher must keep updated and the TEFL Academy course provides references.
As I mentioned, in the online TEFL Academy Level 5 course I appreciated testing my knowledge at the end of each chapter. It was an invitation to review what I had read and already understood. When you pass the end of the chapter test you can move to the next chapter. This method is very appropriate: a teacher must know all teaching aspects and be prepared before any lesson.
The TEFL Academy Course focuses on planning lessons. Accurate planning is the key to a successful lesson. This takes a considerable teacher’s time, especially at the beginning of one’s career. But it is necessary: students will soon feel the teacher’s inadequate planning and preparation, and they will not be able to learn effectively.
Last but not least: the TEFL Academy teachers are professional, experienced, helpful, and wonderful!

This course was exactly what I was looking for. I needed online study to provide me with the knowledge and skills to start TEFL teaching, and this course did that very effectively. The content developed logically, and was clearly presented. I found the level to be appropriate, easing into the topics, but then providing some challenges too. The online support was excellent, with rapid and clear, helpful responses. The three graded assessments were good opportunities to practice the material learned, in a practical way. I was also very impressed by the speed with which I received useful and supportive feedback.

I feel that by doing the Level 5 TEFL course via The TEFL Academy I have learnt a lot about the way you can teach learners speaking, writing, reading and listening activities. The course makes it clear on the roles and responsibilities that I will have as a TEFL teacher. However, if i could recommend an improvement, it would be that the course could help a bit more with jobs, as on the websites that The TEFL Academy recommended to me, the jobs weren't very active. Overall I do recommend it for aspiring TEFL teachers because doing this course has allowed me to understand that I want to be a TEFL teacher as a long-term career.

This course was amazing! It sets the tone for remote and physical teaching. It promotes international teaching and the opportunities as well which are amazing. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to start their Tefl career. All team members are super helpful and friendly. They also have awesome seminars online that you can join and a lot of helpful sites for job hunting. It also is internationally recognized and extremely well known which carries a lot of weight on your résumé.

Hello👋, this is a review about my experience with this TEFL Course. I will start off by saying that this course is extremely affordable and the payment method is totally easy and smooth. This course is absolutely amazing and easy to understand, the format and structure is simply laid out. It is very informative and educational. The is plenty of support and information. It also has alot of activities, the assignments are fun and easy. I highly recommend this course as it is totally efficient and well worth the money.

Growing up in a diverse country such as South Africa, exposed me to many different languages, cultures, socio-economic backgrounds and history. As a result I developed a passion to further educate myself about these unique differences of our “rainbow nation”. Though each category of difference was imperative to explore, the eleven national languages of South Africa stood out for me. It made me question English as a medium of instruction in the country and as a universal language.

When I started asking myself these questions, I was taken aback by how many people are required to learn English to embark on their educational and professional endeavours to become successful. This made me curious about the history of English and the influence of the language on other countries. As interesting as my findings were, it still left me with more questions: how non native learners are able to become fluent in the language, how they are able to overcome the various challenges and barriers while learning a new language, and more importantly, how it later impacts their life. Thus, I discovered that the only way to provide myself with these answers is to experience what it would be like to teach a foreigner English.

As a result, I started my TEFL journey with the TEFL Academy. Even though I completed my course online, it equipped me with the necessary knowledge and skills to teach English as a foreign language. More importantly it taught me that language and culture are two important aspects of the students’ learning process as most of them travel abroad to learn English.

As soon as I finished the course, I applied for jobs in my country and was successful in finding one. When I started teaching, I felt so prepared, excited and driven with passion. Thanks to the unwavering support, guidance and profound yet intensive educational experience from the TEFL Academy, I was able to navigate through my job with ease and in turn answer some of my questions. Additionally, it also sparked an interest in me to travel and teach abroad.

Who knows, maybe in the future, teaching English as a foreign language will be a topic of interest to pursue when I study for my masters degree.
