Superb course

The course was perfectly suited to my needs and expectations in terms of content. The online platform offered well-organised, engaging and challenging content. The creative use of different media was interesting. The support from the teaching staff was excellent, they provided timely feedback and helpful notes for improvement. The different units were logically presented allowing a steady building of knowledge throughout the course. The support videos I found particularly helpful when completing assignments.Overall, a great experience.

What an amazing experience!

I recently completed the Level 5 Combined TEFL course with The TEFL Academy, and honestly, it was such a great experience. I really enjoyed diving into the world of teaching English – it was exciting to learn the craft and see how everything came together, especially with the way the course was structured. The advice on how to tackle each part of the course was super helpful and made the whole process feel manageable.

What really stood out for me was the support. Anytime I had a question or felt a bit unsure, there was always someone ready to help. The feedback on my assignments was thoughtful and really opened my eyes to things I hadn’t considered – it pushed me to improve and gave me confidence in what I was doing.

It honestly felt worth every penny. I felt like I was getting real value, not just ticking boxes. And now that I’ve completed the main course, I’m working through the three extra courses that came with it, which is a great bonus. I’m learning even more and continuing to build on everything I’ve already done.

If you’re thinking about getting into TEFL, I’d definitely recommend it.

Superb job

The course was a splendid experience. I learned really important staff on how to organise my classes and materials, how English can become a tool of empowerment and i also reinforced my love for teaching and learning languages. Teaching English abroad was something that always fascinated me and now i am able to achieve this dream. I will continue educate myself because learning is a lifelong experience. I would love to learn new civilizations, cultures and even languages through English teaching all around the world

The best investment

I didn’t have high expectations when I first started the course, but I was genuinely surprised by how well-structured the content was and how supportive the tutors were throughout. They were incredibly helpful—even during the weekends—and always available to answer questions. The course also provided loads of resources and useful links to support the learning process. Overall, it added real value to my development and gave me a strong boost in confidence to pursue a career I love, thanks to The TEFL Academy!

Following the passion

I decided to take it the TEFL level 3 course considering the affordability & the duration. The topics, sub-topics, exercises, explanations and assignments were very well thought of and organised and easy to follow. The small activities in between kept it interesting not to forget the videos. Quizes were very practical and motivating whereas the assignments were very well explained and the feedback very helpful by the tutors. I think level 5 would be recommended for someone trying to make a career out of teaching as most of the physical jobs abroad ask for level 5 certificate. Overall, very good experience. The tutor support is really good they corrected my last assignment only in few days and were very gentle.

Very thorough course

I recently completed the course online and was very impressed with the experience. The course is very straightforward to follow, understand, and complete. The lessons are clear, engaging, and well-structured. The course has given me a lot of confidence both in my own language skills but also in teaching.

The resources provided are very useful, and I now count on a substantial library to start creating my own lessons. There are a few top-up courses that I'm starting to explore to further learn more in the area that I would like to specialise in.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Creating my first lesson plan, I was so unorganised! But I eventually evisoned what I wanted to do and was able to present it well in a lesson.
Pros
  • Flexibility

Good but more support needed

Overall, the content was good and well suited for the course. The feedback on assignments was quick and detailed. However, there should be more opportunities specifically tailored to individuals living in the Caribbean, as their needs and contexts may differ. Including region-specific resources, examples, and support would greatly enhance the relevance and accessibility of the course. Additionally, offering assistance with job placement would be a valuable addition, helping participants apply their skills in the workforce more effectively.

It was good!!

My experience was unique and exciting. I found out new skills and how teachers have to structure the lesson by making a lesson plan which is really useful and important to carry out a lesson. Overall, it was a good experience and would recommend it to all students that wants to be a teacher or learn more about teaching in general or to improve themselves for the better. This program is not only for students, but for everyone and not only for teaching but anyone interested can try this wonderful experience.

Super experience, gaining knowledge with TEFL Academy

Learning TEFL level 5 was very enjoyable but demanding, requiring time, focus, and dedication. It's a practical, didactic, and up-to-date course.
The platform is well organised into 10 content modules that follow a logical sequence, with practical exercises, resources, and a final test to validate your knowledge that you can repeat several times until you reach a 70% pass rate.

There are 3 major assessments throughout the course, and for any questions or clarifications, there is the support of a tutor who answers objectively and on the same day. Any questions the student may have are answered quickly and in good time by the academy's incredible professionals and technicians.

We only have access to the TEFL Academy platform for up to 6 months, then we lose access, which in my case, with full availability for the course, I was only able to finish in 5 months, 5 hours a day, because there are a lot more than 165 hours, these hours only include the part of acquiring knowledge, learning the content, but there is a whole part of studying, and taking the 3 assessment tests to count which are demanding and complex and we only have 3 times to pass.

Nowadays, before student assessments are submitted for feedback and analysis, the TEFL Academy introduced a system in December a system for diagnosing plagiarism and AI of the documents requested to certify which assessment has been carried out by the student.

I missed being part of a community forum for students and ex-students to exchange ideas, experiences, resources, advice, and insights.

The final certificate is issued as a PDF and sent to the student's address at no extra cost. Now that I have the certificate, the big challenge is to enter the labour market for teachers abroad with the TEFL course.

I'm delighted to have taken the step of completing the course with merit, opening up new avenues and getting more opportunities in the field of teaching abroad.

I highly recommend the TEFL Academy.

TEFL COURSE 3

I started learning with TEFL without having any idea what to expect. It turned out really good! TEFL is really easy to study with. The material given to learn is easy to understand, as well as the tests. My favourite parts were doing the test at the end of a unit to see if if understood what was being taught. TEFL is an amazing way of learning, and they are very helpful if you have any issues. I had a lot of fun learning with TEFL, and they have a lot of options afterwards to help you go in the right direction.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would stress less and just follow the instructions.
Pros
  • Fun
  • Easy to understand
  • It's affordable
Cons
  • Can be scary
  • stressful when waiting for assignments
  • Doing a introductory video is difficult
