Clear and engaging content

The course was very well structured and I enjoyed the process. I finished it in just under 2 months. I didn't realise there was so much to ESL and I'm very grateful for the experience. I feel like I have a substantial volume of knowledge under my belt. The assignments were very in-depth and I spent alot of time of then. I was very happy when I received very detailed and constructive feedback from my tutors. The end of unit assignment tests were always fun and it was great to be able to go back and improve my mark.

What would you improve about this program?
I would have more videos on all of the units; some had videos but not all. The videos are great for lifting the pace of the learning
Pros
  • Great feedback from my tutors on my assignments
Cons
  • More demonstration videos on all units

Your Future Self Will Thank You

Before registering for this qualification, I took time to question how it would benefit me. I spent hours on the website reading other reviews and looking at the list of opportunities that came with having this qualification. Realizing that with this qualification, my future self would be able to connect with so many people from all over the world and be able to experience so many different parts of the world, whilst teaching my language and learning other languages, I knew this was an experience I did not want to pass up. Having completed my TEFL qualification and now entering the world where I can actually put all that I have learnt to use, I am thanking my past self for going through with the idea of doing TEFL that I had one random Tuesday. I can only imagine the people, places, languages and learning my future self will experience and I know that she will thank me one day soon.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
I was completing my TEFL qualification whilst studying a Postgraduate Certificate of Education full time and tutoring online part time. With the demands of each three, as well as the demands of personal life and family life, I found that I did not complete my TEFL qualification in the timeframe I had originally set out for myself. I had two weeks before my TEFL qualification and access to the TEFL dashboard would expire and still had to complete two assignments. I was not worried about completing the assignments as I knew I could get them done. What was nerve-racking was whether my assignments would be marked in time and whether I would need to redo either of the two outstanding assignments. These worries were overcome due to the efficiency of the TEFL markers. I had received feedback and my results within a three days upon submitting them. Working with people who were so understanding and committed to seeing me reach the end goal made this journey so much more enriching and fulfilling.
Pros
  • Opening up my knowledge and understanding to concepts not taught at school or in university.
  • Being able to complete this qualification at a time and pace that suited my lifestyle and schedule.
  • Knowing I have a qualification that allows me to teach world wide.
Cons
  • I did not realize how lengthy some of the units were.
  • I could not move onto a different assignment until I had received feedback and results from the previous assignment.
  • I struggled with the uploading of my ID due to quality and size of the PDF.

Very Happy with Course

I recently completed a TEFL course, and it proved to be an extremely rewarding and valuable experience. From start to finish, the program was well-structured, engaging, and designed with future teachers in mind. It provided a strong foundation for anyone looking to teach English, whether online or in a classroom abroad, and helped me feel prepared and confident to begin my teaching journey.

One of the biggest strengths of the course was its clear and comprehensive curriculum. Each module was carefully organized and covered all the essential areas of English language teaching, including grammar, lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching methodologies. The lessons were explained in a simple and accessible way, making even complex topics easy to understand. I appreciated how the course balanced theory with practical guidance, allowing me to see how teaching concepts work in real classroom situations.

The learning materials were another highlight. The video lessons were informative and easy to follow, supported by written resources, examples, and practical activities. These materials encouraged active learning rather than passive reading, which kept me motivated throughout the course. The quizzes and assignments were especially helpful in reinforcing key ideas and ensuring I fully understood the content before moving forward.

Support from the tutors and instructors was excellent. Whenever I had questions or needed clarification, I received prompt and helpful responses. The feedback on assignments was constructive and encouraging, helping me improve my skills and confidence. This level of support made the online learning experience feel personal and interactive rather than distant or isolating.

The practical teaching component was particularly beneficial. It allowed me to apply what I had learned in a realistic teaching context, which made a huge difference in my confidence. Planning and delivering lessons helped me understand classroom dynamics and student needs more clearly, preparing me for real teaching environments.

In addition, the course offered useful career guidance, including advice on creating a teaching CV, preparing for interviews, and finding teaching opportunities. This support made the transition from training to employment feel much smoother.

Overall, this TEFL course exceeded my expectations. It was informative, practical, and supportive, providing both the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed as an English teacher. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in teaching English and looking for a high-quality, reliable TEFL qualification.

Thoroughly enjoyed this course.

LOL, very reminiscent of high school, so I enjoyed having to recap some of the English rules.

It was very informative, and I learnt a lot. It was challenging because I am not a teacher by profession, but it has encouraged me to look at relaying information differently, which is a skill that I can use in teaching my own children.

I enjoyed having the freedom to do the course at my own time, and I love that I was able to choose the online-only course.

The one challenge that I faced was the lesson planning. This part made me very nervous, and I realised that it is very time-consuming, but it was worth learning, and I intend to practise more.

Amazing Certification experience

I recently completed the TEFL course with The TEFL Academy, and overall, it was a genuinely great experience. From start to finish, the course was well structured, easy to follow, and extremely practical. As someone with a busy schedule, I really appreciated the flexibility of the online format, which allowed me to allocate my own time, pace myself, and study in a way that fit around my other commitments. This flexibility made it possible for me to stay consistent without feeling overwhelmed.

One of the strongest aspects of the course was how user friendly the online platform was. The layout was clear and well organized, and each module flowed logically into the next. The lessons were broken down into manageable sections, which made even more complex topics easier to understand. I never felt lost or confused about what I needed to do next, and the progress tracking feature helped me stay motivated by showing how far I had come.

In terms of content, I learned a lot more than I expected. The course covered both theoretical and practical elements of teaching English as a foreign language, which made it feel well balanced. Topics such as lesson planning, classroom management, teaching grammar and vocabulary, and adapting lessons for different age groups and proficiency levels were explained clearly and in a practical way. I found myself constantly thinking about how I could apply what I was learning to real teaching situations, which made the course feel very relevant and useful.

Another highlight for me was the support from the program directors and tutors. Any time I had a question or needed clarification, the responses were prompt, professional, and genuinely helpful. It was reassuring to know that there were real people behind the course who cared about student success and were willing to provide guidance when needed. This level of support made a big difference, especially in an online learning environment where it can sometimes feel isolating.
The feedback on assignments was also excellent. It was detailed, constructive, and encouraging, which helped me understand my strengths as well as the areas where I could improve. Rather than just being told whether I had passed or failed, I received meaningful comments that helped me grow and refine my teaching approach. This made the assignments feel like a valuable learning tool rather than just a formality to complete the course.

I also appreciated the fact that the course allowed me to work at my own pace. There was no pressure to rush through the material, and I could slow down when I wanted to fully understand a topic or speed up when I felt confident. This self-paced structure made it much easier to stay motivated and complete the course without unnecessary stress.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience at The TEFL Academy. The course was informative, practical, and well designed, and it gave me the confidence and skills I need to start teaching English. The combination of flexible learning, high-quality content, strong student support, and helpful feedback made this a very positive experience for me. I would definitely recommend this TEFL course to anyone looking for a reliable, well structured, and supportive way to get certified and begin their teaching journey.

Program

I loved how the program was even though mine needed to be first good at English. So this is well structured and full of knowledge.

I acknowledge that you will not be deceived. As long as you are willing to be a teacher, level 5 will be more suitable to choose it.

I loved how the program taught me how to do the lesson plans in a good manner. To be frank, I love teachers and the staff behind the scenes. All were amazing.

I am grateful to you for all things done for us. Perhaps, I will be behind scenes 😊.
