Architecture intern

I had the most valuable and enriching experience I was lucky enough to work for an incredible company with a talented and dedicated team that was super friendly (despite language barriers) and always willing to include me, share with me what they were doing/ doing working on and exposing me to all the facets of architecture, they facilitated a space for me to grow and thrive as a creative and professional, but it also allowed me to gain so much on a personal level and form meaningful friendships and connections that I will forever cherish!

What was your funniest moment?
In the office - getting to see and learn about the history, culture and architecture of Spain as well as personal projects from my supervisors and bosses, spending time with them and enriching my scope of skills and understanding of the world around me,

My other intern friends- aside from planned trips we would travel together on our own and experience new places and cultures and adventures together, we’d go out together and since we lived so close we even enjoyed the little things like getting coffee, going on walks, getting groceries and hanging out at each others apartments, we were truly blessed

Pros
  • Friendships
  • Experience
  • Adventures
Cons
  • Expensive

Fall Internship in Dublin, Ireland

I have just wrapped up an eight week program in Dublin, Ireland completing a business/entrepreneurship internship with a local small business, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! An adventure like this leaves me with a great resume building opportunity. I have no doubt that it will be an attractive bullet point for any hiring team at the workplaces I may apply to in the future. Additionally, I received fantastic technical and onsite support from The Intern Group staff, and made incredible friends in my cohort; this experience will certainly be one I remember for the rest of my life because of the incredible people around the organization.

Response from The Intern Group

Professional and Well-Managed Internship in Bangkok

My internship in Bangkok with The Intern Group was an excellent and well-structured experience. Quynh, who managed the interns, demonstrated consistent professionalism and support throughout the program. Her organisation, responsiveness, and clear communication ensured that each stage of the placement ran smoothly. The combination of a well-coordinated program and the dynamic environment of Bangkok made the internship both valuable and rewarding.
Overall, worthwhile, mostly because the on-the-ground management kept everything functional and focused

Response from The Intern Group

Thls opportunity was fantastic!

This opportunity was great and provided me with insightful experience into a real work environment within my field. As my internship was in Bangkok it allowed me to experience a completely different culture, many activities were arranged by our program manager, Quynh, who has extremely helpful and friendly through the entirety of the trip, she ensured that we had a smooth trip and would often check up on us, which provided us with security and ease of mind. Overall the trip was great and I would recommend it to anyone looking for experience within their desired field.

Intern Group Madrid

I had a great experience with the Intern Group in Madrid. They were supportive and helpful in every step of the way. My company gave me an insight into the working culture with great flexibility and I got to learn a lot. The intern group also enabled me experience a new culture and learn a new language to A1 level and was able to make friends through the program. I would recommend the intern group especially to students taking a gap year before joining university or students in their second year of university.

Response from The Intern Group

Loved it!

The experience was everything I could have asked for, Lalita and her team were amazing and helpful with everything I needed , the accommodation and services I was really pleasantly surprised how modern they were. And my actual internship placement was much better than I could’ve of even asked for. Literally got the exact job that I wanted. Would definitely recommend this for both the experience and the career prospects after, as I have been applying for graduate jobs I have found that I now have so much to talk about in interviews.

Medellin: one of the experiences of my life

I stayed in Medellin for two months; it was very difficult at first because I was alone and didn't know anybody. I shared very memorable moments with the other students, thanks to Mariana (our coordinator). The city is cheerful, colourful and perfect for those who seek nature and nightlife. I worked as HR manager, and the experience was totally different from what I expected: I made new friendships with two colleagues, who, from the moment I arrived, showed me everything in Medellin. We went hiking, explored the nearby area of Medellin, and ate together every weekend local food. I'm so glad to have met them; they even accompanied me to the airport (we are still in contact). Medellin has very sociable people: they are very welcoming and always with a smile on their faces. I learned from this city the importance of being positive and always kind to people. For the professional part, I experimented with what work means: waking up early, preparing your lunch, taking the bus, working, and then coming back home in the evening just to cook dinner and go to bed. At first, this routine might be uncomfortable, but I can assure you that from this experience, you gain a new perspective on the world and personal growth. If I had known how this experience would have been, I would have chosen a 3-month program.

What was your funniest moment?
I was without any doubt when all the other students and I went on the CHIVA!!
Response from The Intern Group

A valuable experience

I did not know what I was getting myself into when I first applied for this internship, but it has surely exceded all of my expectations. I had the pleasure of working in a very welcoming environment, in which all my colleges offered me valuable advice for my future work experiences and in which I found the confidence I needed. However, the social part of this internship is what I will always cherish, for I met amazing people that have changed my life. It was also an amazing experience being able to walk around Dublin as an adult having my own life after being there with my family when I was 5.

What was your funniest moment?
The funniest moment I had was when I had to film an interview with one of my friends from TIG and we just had to keep recording it over and over because the questions were very weird and it was just a very stupid but fun moment.
Response from The Intern Group

Thank you for sharing your experience, Angela! We’re so happy to hear that your internship in Dublin exceeded your expectations and helped you build confidence in such a supportive environment. It’s wonderful that you made meaningful connections and got to rediscover the city in a whole new way!

Amazing Experience

As a 21 year old intern who recently graduated with international business experience, this enhanced my professional career by allowing me the opportunity to live outside of the country and work. The experience coordinators in Medellin (Mariana and Vale) were amazing. The accommodations, support, and activities planned were an amazing addition in conjunction with the internship that has so helpfully boosted my career progress. The experience and networking opportunities I have obtained from this experience are irreplaceable.

Transformative Internship Experience in Madrid

In 2019, I had the incredible opportunity to complete an internship in Madrid through The Intern Group, where I collaborated with the biotechnology company Solmeglas. What began as a marketing role quickly evolved into a technical commercial assistant position—an unexpected shift that became one of the most powerful growth experiences of my life.

Working directly with the CEO allowed me to gain firsthand insight into strategic operations, international sales, and technical product positioning in the biotech field. Every day brought a new challenge, and I embraced each one with curiosity and commitment. This internship not only sharpened my business acumen and technical knowledge, but also ignited a deeper passion for bridging science and strategy.

But beyond the professional, it was the personal journey that marked me most. Living abroad, navigating a new culture, building friendships from around the world, and discovering my own resilience and independence transformed me. I came back stronger, more focused, and convinced that there are no limits when you show up with courage, adaptability, and heart.

That experience didn’t just add to my resume—it shaped who I am as a professional and as a person.

What was your funniest moment?
A memorable and funny moment from my time in Madrid
One of my favorite memories was when my supervisor joined me for my birthday. I took him to a Mexican dinner, and by the end of the night he was completely enchanted by the culture, the food, and the experience. It was a lighthearted moment that reminded me how cultural exchanges and personal connections make professional experiences truly unforgettable.
