As a native English speaker, I came into this course thinking I already knew the language well enough. Turns out knowing a language and knowing how to teach it are two very different things. The course gave me structure around things I had learned years ago but never actively thought about since. I knew what a verb was but had forgotten there were that many types. I used collocations every day without remembering they had a name. It takes everythingyou already know and gives it a framework.

What I really liked was how it builds naturally.You start with the foundations of language, move into how to teach the four core skills, and then gradually shift into lesson planning and classroom management. The online teaching module wraps it all up. That progression is very logical and well paced.

The content is very comprehensive it does lean heavily on reading so it could maybe feel a little too thorough in some topics. Some of the tenses modules especially felt quite heavy. More video content or interactive variety would have broken it up nicely. YouTube videos are a nice addition but it is more geared towards how to engage younger learners.One thing worth mentioning is that a live mock demo recording with actual feedback would make the Teaching English online section genuinely job-ready rather than just informational.

I like that the course is easy to work through at your own pace. A module a day and you'll finish before you know it. The live support is there but I barely needed it because the material is straightforward enough.The price point especially with the discount available is very affordable for an internationally accredited certificate.

I finished this feeling like I can actually properly teach English basics. Not just technically certified but actually confident. I now know what word roots are, what a determiner does, and why 'catch a cold' is a collocation and somehow this feels like a personality trait now. If you're considering it do buy it, set aside a little time each day and work through it. You will feel the difference by the end.

A simple and affordable course good for anybody interested in teaching English or even just interested in learning more about the English language themselves. The topics are sorted into modules covering a range of things you'll need to know as an English teacher. The website is easy to navigate, making it a cinch to complete everything you need to start a journey as an English teacher. While it may not have all the same offerings as some other diplomas, the significantly lower cost makes it worth it for those who don't mind a bit of extra work down the line with finding employment.

I’m so glad I finally completed the entire TESOL course! The whole learning journey was incredibly rewarding and eye-opening for me as an English learner and future educator. All the learning materials are professionally structured, well-organized, and highly practical, covering core teaching knowledge including effective teaching methodology, English grammar instruction, classroom management strategies, student learning styles, and interactive lesson design. Every unit delivers real and usable teaching skills that I can truly apply in real classroom situations.
Before taking this course, I lacked systematic teaching theories and always felt unsure about how to design proper lessons for different student groups. However, after studying the whole curriculum, I have gained plenty of professional teaching techniques. It was a great experience! After being referred to it by a friend who had done it too, I decided to try it out myself, and it was awesome! The support from the tutors was quick (like... really quick! to be honest...), and the platform was great! The videos were super engaging, and I got to admit, Teacher Jay has a natural talent to teach young learners, and as a former kindergarten teacher, that's not an easy thing to achieve, and I loved the overall experience. Thank you guys! I hope I can come back soon for my TEOL, TEAL, and TEYL certifications.

Before I started this course, the idea of taking an online course didn't seem that interesting to me. However, having now completed the 120 hr course, I now see the value the World TESOL Academy has provided. Not only are you able to engage with it on your own time, but I also found the course as a whole to be quite manageable, intuitive and will most likely prove to be a useful teaching aid for the future. I thought the format was easy to follow and engage with, and I also appreciated the video examples that I found to be both helpful and inspiring.
