Great course

This course has really taught some insights information that we didn’t cover in university relating to teaching. From the things that helped me to develop my skills in teaching are how to motivate students in a smart way, create an engaging lesson plan according to students needs, and the most important one is, NEVER using the native language, but instead focusing only the target language, and using helping tools such as, TPR, flashcards, mimicking, and data shows for better understanding and engagement inside the class.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
It’s better for them to not only rely on the program, they will also need to interact with other people who speaks the same language, in order for them to learn better, and improve their accuracy and pronunciation of the words, and there are lot of apps and websites that give the chance to interact with different people around the world.
Pros
  • Helpful videos and insightful information.
  • Simple language and the lessons are to the point.
  • Quizzes are helpful to test your understanding and test what we learnt.
Cons
  • Focus only on multiple choices questions.
  • No videos on how to teach adults to see how and what way of teaching that better to engage with them
  • In Quizzes I think there should be a limit on how many times you should take it so learners can take every module seriously

Recommended for those who want to advance their English Teaching Careers

I would have to say that my learning experience at World TESOL Academy has been so worthwhile and rewarding because you can actually be able to learn so much about what it's like to be a teacher regardless of the subject that you are teaching in the school and you can also be inspired by the other teachers who have taught English successfully whether abroad or at home by studying how they usually teach their lessons to their own students. The certificate that you get is definitely worth the price

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Don't give up on your learning progress and always enjoy teaching English like you are playing a game in front of your students. Don't be shy to ask for help whenever you need some advice. I know it can be hard to travel while teaching abroad but at least you have the freedom to do almost anything you want while doing the career that you always liked
Pros
  • Highly interactive quizzes to answer that will make you challenge your brain
  • All of the lectures are clear to understand by most beginners who don't have teaching experience
  • The final exam is perfect for those who don't want to answer a difficult exam
Cons
  • The certificate can get a bit too expensive to afford
  • There were only a few helpful videos to watch
  • Teaching Jobs can be hard to find

120-hour TEFL/TESOL course Review

I really enjoyed this course. It was very concise even though it covered a wide variety of aspects of teaching English. The first part helped me brush up on my grammar and I even learned things I hadn't known before.

I was born in the U.S. and have known English my whole life. It was really helpful reading through the lessons and learning different things that help introduce English to non-native speakers.

I also do not have much classroom teaching experience, so it was helpful learning about the different teaching techniques that a teacher can use in a classroom to help engage students and aid in subject retention.

This was just perfect. Exactly what I was searching for.

I recently completed the TESOL 120 Hour Course, and I found it to be well-structured and informative. The material covered essential aspects of ESL teaching, including grammar, classroom management, and lesson planning, all of which were explained with practical examples. The quizzes and final tests were challenging and helped reinforce my learning, especially regarding teaching methodologies and strategies for different student levels. Overall, it was an insightful experience, equipping me with valuable skills and confidence for teaching English as a second language. Thank you World TESOL Academy Team!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The most nerve-racking moment for me was learning conditionals. Understanding the subtle differences and correctly applying each type was challenging. I overcame this by breaking down each conditional into simple examples and practicing consistently, which helped clarify the logic and usage.
Pros
  • The program offers detailed insights into lesson structuring, which greatly improves teaching effectiveness.
  • It covers a wide range of techniques, from using props to applying different seating arrangements, making classes more engaging.
  • The program allows students to progress at their own speed, making it accessible for busy schedules.
Cons
  • Some areas, like conditionals and tenses, were presented in a way that could be challenging without prior teaching experience.
  • Although quizzes were helpful, more interactive sessions would have enriched the learning experience.
  • The program is heavily tailored to ESL contexts, so aspects of general teaching methodology may feel limited.

Fully Immersive

The modules covered every aspect of classroom teaching and I was pleasantly surprised by module 7 on teaching online equipment and techniques. I would recommend 100%.
The teaching videos were best and I liked that there's a YouTube page to go watch them over and over again; which I subscribed to.
The pictures and videos were very helpful.
The entire course was in plain and simple English which was very easy to understand so even young people/teenagers will be able to follow it.
I rate the course 10/10.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The quiz on tenses
Pros
  • teaching videos
  • learning aids

My personal experience with World TESOL Academy

In my review of the World TESOL Language Academy, I found the services to be exceptionally structured and highly effective for language development. The course content was clear and included precise, step-by-step instructions that enhanced my understanding of grammar and other core language skills. Each lesson built on previous knowledge and was thoughtfully designed to reinforce learning. Most notably, the quizzes following each lesson were invaluable that provided an interactive way to assess comprehension and retention. Overall, the academy provided an enriching and impactful learning experience.

What was your funniest moment?
One of the funniest moments during my World TESOL Academy course was while attempting a quiz on lesson planning. I got stuck and messaged the online instructor for help, but as soon as she asked me a question, I immediately figured out the answer on my own! Then, in the next quiz, I got stuck again, reached out to her, and once again, just as she responded, I solved it right away. I couldn’t help but wonder what she must have thought of my timing! :)
Pros
  • Lessons were presented with clarity and detailed instructions, making it easy to follow and absorb the material.
  • The course strengthened all core language skills, especially grammar that provids a well-rounded learning experience.
  • Each lesson included engaging quizzes that reinforced learning and allowed for immediate assessment of understanding.
Cons
  • The absence of live face-to-face sessions may have reduced opportunities for spontaneous interaction and feedback
  • There should be some lessons/written notes for those who qualify the final assessment test

I have TESOL degree

I am very grateful for having studied at the TESOL Academy. Although I graduated from university with a degree in English teaching after four years, I realized that I hadn't learned enough. After working for two years following my graduation, I enrolled in this course. I have improved my teaching methods for young children and acquired many new techniques. Since I joined this course with both my degree and some work experience, I was able to recognize both my mistakes and successes and learn how to improve further. I have also understood that teaching internationally and instructing those who are learning a foreign language as their second language requires me to continuously learn and improve my own skills. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to study in this program.

What would you improve about this program?
I really liked the method of teaching new vocabulary. Teaching about the body and then having students draw a monster based on that was very enjoyable. One suggestion for improving this program would be to make the explanation lessons more detailed and to include more examples, as I think it would make the lessons even better.

I particularly appreciated the emphasis on interactive and student-centered teaching methods, which are crucial for today's diverse classrooms. Overall, TESOL Academy exceeded my expectations and truly prepared me for the challenges and rewards of teaching English to speakers of other languages.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
It was a bit difficult to manage this course with my ongoing job. But I made it! If I get a chance to do this all over again, I would certainly plan out my time better.

  • Expert Support (Videos by Teacher Jay)
  • Emphasis on student-centered methods suited for diverse classrooms.
Cons
  • A few sections felt rushed, making it challenging to fully grasp the concepts.

Thanks TESOL Academy

My experience with TESOL was great. I was very excited to complete the lessons. Once you complete one lesson, you are very excited to see the next lesson, regardless of the final exam, which was as if I had passed a fateful exam at a university, but it was very easy because I had completed all the lessons On top of all this, there are practical videos that help give ideas on how to teach.and adapt with students whether young or old. I learned many skills and my English improved greatly, thanks to TESOL Academy.

What would you improve about this program?
The thing I would like to change in this program is that at the end of each lesson I put a general summary of the lesson in the form of a video. But apart from this everything was perfect.
Pros
  • I learned English well
  • I learned skills to teach students.
  • Ease of use and no problems in the program
Cons
  • Too much writing
  • Not enough videos to explain
  • No other negative
