As a direct result of completing this course I got a job in China! This course not only got me a job, but more importantly made me a better teacher! This course gave me a far better understanding of Chinese classrooms but also made me more aware of theoretical educational concepts! This course has enabled me to follow my dream to move and pursue a career in China! For that alone I can’t review this program any better. However, this process was so pain free for me that I would be remiss to not mention that the support I felt during this program was second to none. I highly recommend it!

I enjoyed the course as a whole, i feel like it will help me when i get the opportunity to teach abroad. It gave me real life situations and while nothing can totally prepare you, i feel like it’s a good start. It was a challenge but it walks you through any issues you may face. All in all it prepaeed me to teach all ages, from kindergarten yo adults. The staff was very nice and helpful as well.

From the offset, my experience with teaching Nomad was great, I would highly recommend my placement consultant Yiqin Zhu. She really made the whole process very easy and tailored everything to my needs. I can't thank her enough for the amount of hard work she put in to finding me a suitable position. I stumbled upon Teaching Nomad's website simply by chance while searching for an ESL position in China and was enticed through the name alone and more so after reading the mission statement. From the moment of registering I was quickly contacted by my personal Placement Consultant, Lauren Klein, who remained in my corner every step of the way. What can I say to you Lauren, you did a great job of searching for positions suited to my specific requirements and background and your dedication and massive effort and excellent and continuous communication will not be forgotten. My trust and confidence in Teaching Nomad was exemplified through its professional website, vast job advertisements and professional business operations but to be totally honest, my overall positive experience and opinion of Teaching Nomad was all down to the hard work of my consultant, Lauren Klein.

Teaching Nomad has been great every step of the way from the introduction, helping me prepare my documents and advising me on different job applications that would be a good fit. They have always been available to help, prompt with response and very friendly and helpful. I have been hired to teach English through a job they recommended and I look forward to starting in a few months. They have also made it clear that they are there for support throughout my job. I looked at several companies and they are by far the most professional.

Ginger responded promptly to my enquiries and he was very accommodating of my time limitations. I am an English teacher in a French school at the moment but felt like I needed a new persective . Ginger’s knowledge and experience as a foreign language teacher was invaluable and inspiring. I got to observe and teach several classes ranging from 3 to 25 students in private and public schools. The constructive criticism I received has been really beneficial. I have discovered new and more effective ways to engage and teach my students. The teaching materials and resources have come in useful in my day to day teaching.

Job hunting in China can be quite overwhelming. Perhaps surprisingly, this remains true whether you are searching for your first job in China or your fifth. Thanks to Teaching Nomad and Mike Ostrowski I was placed at a really amazing school that was a terrific match for me. My preference in schools was very specific, they found exactly what I was hoping for. Mike was extremely helpful and guided me throughout the entire interview process. It was definitely a pleasure to work with him, and I would recommend Teaching Nomad any day!

This was a good TEFL course- there are many out there, but this one was good. I recommend it. You can either just do a little at a time, or the way I preferred to do it was all at once over 2 1/2 weeks, like a job a an office. This proved easier for me because I retained the information,and was able to apply it right away. Good luck to you in your TEFL journey!

My consultant Ali Jaramillo always assistant Ed in finding the best possible positions that are available to work in China.
