The TEFL Course was amazing! I learned a lot!

Thank you for your wonderful guidelines on how to teach children English. I learned a great deal about all of the important fundamentals. I feel very prepared to teach English to a variety of types of learners. I feel confident in being able to help others to progress in learning English as I have progressed in learning to teach English. I would recommend this program to anyone interested in being a good TEFL teacher in another country or in your own respective country for that matter. Thank you!

Recruiting process

I'm glad to leave this review about Teaching Nomads. Nick Bonnet was very resourceful and helpful in the process of searching for another career opportunity in teaching. He was very patient. If I had rate his customer service I would give him a 10 out of 10. He sent me several different schools in the areas and countries that I had inquiries about. Nick did an awesome job of answering any questions that I had. I will definitely consider using Teaching Nomads for the future. Thank you Nick Bonnet for all of your help.

Ollie at TeachingNomad

Ollie (Oliver Gorman) was an absolute star, total professional and a real gent from start to finish of the entire recruitment process. Our initial Skype covered every aspect possible, explaining the entire recruitment process as well as how best to go about all the necessary Notarizations, Legalizations, Authentications, of degrees, etc. for the first Z Visa.
Highly personable, does the job and follows it through, and with speed.
Very grateful to Ollie and all the guys at TeachingNomad.
Very best to you.

Great and Reliable Company

Even though I accepted a teaching position in South Korea through another recruiting company, Teaching Nomad was a great resource to have had in the job hunting process. A situation occurred where an offer I was given - not through Teaching Nomad- suddenly fell through after almost two months of sending over a digital copy of my signed contract and visa paperwork for the school to say they no longer needed me. Teaching Nomad was swift in their efforts to find me a replacement position so I had options even after the first fail.

Review

I enjoyed the course. Was challenging and I went into wanting to learn and do well. I learned a great deal. The videos were good. The questions were challenging made me go back through material so I learned more. Enjoyed the readings. I could have gotten up to 5 questions right that I got wrong if I had read the questions a bit better good job with being tricky like that. Or is that being tricky and I just need to read better? I enjoyed some of the history of language learning and all too that helped with me wanting to be more engaged to learn.

What would you improve about this program?
Maybe have someone, a quality person or whatever you want to calm them, editor. Going through it seemed like some of the verbiage was repeated. Some of the test questions we rent worded exactly right made it confusing. Can’t remember which ones but not too bad. That’s about all I can remember.

Good Online Option

The course was straightforward. There were some questions that were arguably subjective. Beside this, the course does a good job of formatting information effectively. Getting live experience is crucial to applying pedagogy. There is really nothing like it. Great for a quick jump start into the profession. Good value as well. I would really only recommend this course to someone who is comfortable with gaining experience while on the job. It is not an easy feat, teaching children, let alone, children in a foreign country.

What would you improve about this program?
Retesting question validity and reliability may be necessary. Including creative ways to create lesson plans.

AMAZED

From the moment I signed up, till I got an official offer I was taken care of. I was given so much guidance and support which I did not expect. My recruiting specialist understood my needs and didn't bombard me with applications but saw opportunities suited to my needs and within a short span of time I had interviews and offers lined up from which I Accepted one. Even after accepting the offer, my recruiter kept checking up on me and gave me pointers and tips on concerns I had to raise with the company I had accepted the offer from. I took her advice and it paid off majorly. Even as I sit now writing this review, I have a bunch of emails with documents and to read with what to expect from the journey that awaits me so I am truly prepared.I'm truly thankful and thrilled for the adventure that awaits.

Helped by Ms. Lauren Klein

Ms. Lauren Klein was my recruiter and I found her through Teaching Nomad and I must say she did such an AMAZING JOB helping me with everything!! From immediately returning all of my emails, to answering all of my questions, Lauren helped me from getting my applications in, to going over the steps of getting my documents authenticated and notarized. She and the rest of the teaching nomad staff have been so helpful to me in finding the perfect job and location. Without Ms. Lauren Klein and without teaching nomad, I would have not been able to find the right location to teach at. She's helped me find a company called "APAX English" which is located in Vietnam, where I can teach English. Without the help of Ms. Lauren, I wouldn't have any issues on finding legitimate companies, so I owe her!

Very Informative Course

It's a great course. You will learn alot and have enough information to assist you with your teaching career goals. I found it very informative and lucrative. For instance, the course provided plenty of examples so that the student can grasp the information being provided and taught. This is very important for new teachers because the course acts as a detailed guide for teaching a foreign language. I really enjoyed the material included in the course and learned alot about teaching younger children. When I finally relocate to China, I will refer back to this course to help me with improvement my teaching skills and target language techniques. Overall, I am glad that this course is available to help new inexperience teachers like myself. Thank you!
