I am moving to Thailand to start my first teaching placement in October and this course has given me so much confidence ahead of this new journey. The course is incredibly comprehensive, covering all aspects of teaching. Everything from the structure of the English language, how to engross and manage a class, and how to prepare the best lessons possible. The podcasts with James are incredibly engaging and provide fascinating insights into his own experience teaching English as a foreign language.

I really enjoyed this course and found it easy to follow as someone with dyslexia! It even taught me a thing or two I didn't know about grammar and pronunciation. The videos with James are really helpful. The coloured and numbered headings really help individual sections to stand out. I also appreciated the focus on classroom management and cultural awareness.This includes lesson plans and information on how to motivate learners by age group. The course gives you many opportunities to go over modules. Can't wait to start my TEFL career!

In my case, I studied teaching ESL as my undergrad, and have hands-on experience in the field, so my intention in doing this course was to review and refresh what I know, and maybe learn something new -- I finished the course accomplishing both of these things! I also found the video podcasts with James to be engaging, useful, and totally relevant. I'm looking to teach abroad for the first time, and this course helped me to feel more reassured and up-to-speed on my teaching skills and knowledge. For a concise and well-organized certification course in EFL teaching, I'd definitely recommend this one by TEFL Nomad!

I just completed this TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) course and I had an amazing experience! The context was comprehensive, well-rounded and covered all the essential topics necessary for becoming and effective English teacher. One aspect that I liked was the site platform which was easy to use and James' podcasts helped guide me through each course. The platform layout was clear and the instructions given ensured that I never felt overwhelmed or lost during the learning process. Highly recommend this TEFL course!

Course is a good introduction but does not provide much support for real life EFL teaching. Lot of useful information but could be provided in a more accessible format like in more templates and guides that could be used throughout a teachers journey. I found the layout very easy to follow and a good structure to the content. I enjoyed the podcasts as I found these more engaging than the written content, and so would like to so more variety in the presentation of information to engage all types of learners.

I learned a great amount in the course created by TFT, from improving my knowledge in English grammar to ideas on how to be the best teacher you can be when teaching abroad. It even gave examples on effective activity's to use in the classroom to create a fun and positive learning environment. The course itself was easy to access and you can go back and forth between the modules if and when you need to. I feel much more comfortable and ready to get started on my new adventure in Thailand!
I recommend this course to anyone hoping to teach English abroad.

All of the information presented was very relevant and useful. It was an interesting read and explains the theory, techniques and knowledge surrounding teaching English as a foreign language. You will learn grammar aspects of the English language, how to manage and interact with classrooms and how to successfully deliver classes. You will learn the requirements and characteristics associated with teaching in a foreign country and the course gives advice on how to be successful in your teaching career

Just completed my TEFL course and it was such a worthwhile experience. I had no idea of where to begin at first but the detailed content allowed me to learn so much about teaching as I have no experience at all and that was okay. It slowly built up the information that was needed in order to become an effective EFL teacher. At times, it was overwhelming but it was definitely worth it in the end as I pushed through and I definitely think that this would be very helpful for when I begin my teaching journey!

This has been a really great course. It is engaging and manages to explain clearly the more difficult elements of English teaching. It provides great resources for lesson planning, which will definitely come in handy. There are also especially useful tips regarding cultural differences for things I would not of considered before, such as standing distance from one another. Even typically less engaging sections on grammar for example are made engaging by providing example games to use in lessons. Overall, a great course.
