The class is very fun despite being 3.5 hours the time flies and you end up learning a lot just from being constantly immersed. You don't learn the way they might teach you in a traditional school, so you actually get to be exposed to a lot of actual Chinese language as far as listening comprehension. You are given a lot of opportunity to speak out loud as well in a safe environment, without the pressure of exams, etc. There is a lot of content that you go through in a short period of time but given that all the material is online, with easy learning tools in the nihaocafe website, it's quite easy to go back and review yourself.

The structure is very solid for beginners like me and the content of teaching is extremely practical for everyday use in China as a foreigner. Also I enjoy meeting and communicating new people though the classes as classmates and staff here. I really appreciate the learning support for the newly moved foreigners to understand better in terms of culture and language. Lastly, working adults, the school offers flexible schedule as well which is a huge plus. Thank you and looking forward to start the next term of learning at That's Mandarin.

I love this special trip!
The most memorable part for me was visiting the Bund. The view of the city skyline was absolutely stunning, and it’s something I’ll never forget. I also really enjoyed the Chinese classes. The teachers made it so fun by giving us language tasks and doing role-playing activities. It was a great way to practice speaking, and I learned a lot.
Shanghai is such a huge and incredible city. I loved exploring it and discovering something new every day. I’m really glad I got the chance to visit, and I hope I can come back one day!

Wonderful school and facilities, an oasis in Beijing. Great teachers and well-organized. This was a great experience and really helped my Chinese language improve. My teacher Rao Loashi is great! The school also sets up extracurricular events like movies and mahjong night, which is great if you are new to Beijing and need to make friends. It also helps with practicing your language in different ways. The online platform Nihao Cafe is great too and helps with language practice with the awesome videos.

Beijing That’s Mandarin offers an outstanding educational experience.The educators, especially those from Beijing, are exceptional professionals whose guidance has significantly advanced my studies. My Chinese skills have improved tremendously during my time here. A key highlight is its highly efficient and user-friendly online platform NihaoCafe enabling students to easily access, review, and manage learning materials at their convenience. Beyond academics, the school cultivates a supportive learning environment and hosts diverse cultural activities that promote both personal and academic development. I am deeply impressed and excited to continue my Chinese studies with this remarkable institution.

That's Mandarin has been very helpful for me in my daily activities and exercises, i have been progressing really well with the course. They focus on really helping students to have the ability to have daily speaking chinese and just casual conversations. It is also a good experience learning among other foreigners so we can relate to each other about how learning chinese is like. The Nihao Cafe system itself is also pretty good. Would really recommend others about this program and excited to prolong this course!

The teacher was professional, patient, and highly knowledgeable, making even complex aspects of Mandarin feel approachable. The teacher was patient, encouraging, and always willing to adapt to my pace.
The focus on real-life conversation was especially valuable, as it gave me the confidence to use Mandarin in normal situations. I practiced real-life conversations and learning cultural nuances that are essential when communicating in Mandarin.

I had seven days available to improve my Chinese and everything was done to make the best of it. I was well advised before coming about how to arrange it, and the schedule and the materials were tailor-made for my needs. Each teacher was focusing on my own goals and learning speed, also sharing plenty of insight on life in China. The school atmosphere is very cozy and friendly, I'll certainly come again and continue the experience. Also, the location is convenient and pleasant, it's a wonderful area to spend time in Beijing.
