Au Pair in Milan (June 2022 - June 2023)

I have had the best time Au Pairing in Milan, I'm excited to do another one! My host family was perfectly matched with me, and we've had such a lovely, stress-free and special time together. They have been so welcoming and flexible, I have learnt and seen so much! I've managed to see 15 new countries and many more fabulous cities. I couldn't have asked for a better host family and experience! I had the days off (when the child was at school) so I have been able to complete a year of my degree too which has been amazing. I've met the nicest people and made friends for life which I'm so grateful for.

Pros
  • Live in a new city and get to know a family
  • Travel
  • Have spare time to explore/study/meet people

Global work and travel - traveller

In august 2022 i travelled to Australia with global work and travel in search of a new life and seeing what austraila had in store for me.

I was offered a role at the Marriott hotel in Sydney which is one of globals partners. I’ve been with them now for seven months and they have been an pleasure to work for. I’ve met new people seen places I would never have seen and been part of an amazing team which has lead me to become an team
Leader when I return to Sydney.
If it wasn’t for global work and travel and everything that have done for me I would never be in this position I’m about to enter when I return to Sydney

Maddi Global Trip

Maria was such an amazing help with my trip to Canada. This was my first trip overseas and Maria really helped with everything from my worries/concerns to making sure I get the job I really wanted to experience whilst here. She was in constant communication with me which was nice and never made me feel like a burden when I asked one of my many questions.

Since arriving to Canada, I've been to orientation and Mark was great! He made the place feel safe and exciting and was happy to answer any questions.

Pros
  • Great workers
  • Amazing job opportunities

carlie

the presentation by mark was very informative, he made it interactive and fun. left it open for questions at the end and room for chats by everyone.

getting into canada was very easy going and not as hard as i thought it was going to be but after that the limousine service was awful. it was hard to find the driver as he was waiting in the car and a hassle once we did find him. not being able to check into the hotel after being on nearly a 14 hour flight was not ideal but the hostel itself was accommodating and tried to have the room cleared early.

global work and travel and brianna herself, has been very helpful though.

Pros
  • job security
  • accommodation
  • staff always available
Cons
  • constant emails
  • elfies limousine service
  • not being able to check into the hotel after a 13 hour flight

Working Holiday - Canada

My experience with Global Work and Travel was excellent. I had wanted to travel Canada for a long time but was unsure as to how to sort everything, Brianna helped me through the whole process. Getting a Visa was one of my biggest worries as well as finding temporary work in different areas while I travelled, but both ended up being so easy as I was shown through the visa process step by step and I have loads of employment connections with interviews arranged so I don't have to worry. I was also given loads of information about different places to travel to.

Pros
  • Visa Information
  • Finding jobs easily
  • Information about places to travel

working holiday canada

Maria and the rest of the team at global have gone above and beyond to help me live my dream, I appreciate there constant assistance and patience and definitely couldn't have done it without them. Vancouver's a very different lifestyle and pace compared to back home in Townsville but it has been enjoyable so far, Im looking forward to the next part of my adventure in banff, reuniting with my friends who come over before me. and then eventually all of working together in whistler, and so on and so forth.

Pros
  • change in lifestyle
  • experiencing a different culture

Fantastic

The team at global work and travel were absolutely amazing. My coordinator Mark was unreal, answering every question I had with haste and genuine care. Mark made the whole experience unbelievably easy and stress free, helping in every way he could, and even giving me some personal recommendations on things to do during my 2 years in Canada. I cannot recommend global work and travel highly enough, they were fantastic and I wouldn’t have been able to have this amazing experience without them. The whole experience was a 10/10

Amazing experience

Global work and travel was extremely helpful and communicated really well to any issues I had with obtaining visa's (working holiday visa), employment (coordinator found available jobs in desirable location), flights (booking the flights), bank (going to the bank and organising account), insurance and international phone.
Brianna was a lovely coordinator and gave a helpful orientation :) She also helped me finalise details as well as another coordinator Tiare to organise the trip fully. Overall, a lovely experience.

Pros
  • online support
  • emergency line
Cons
  • time difference when communicating with Canadian coordinator from Australia

Great Experience

Working with global was a great and easy experience. From start to finish they were easy to work with and allowed me to work at my own pace. They were extremely helpful with the visa process and booking the flights. Once I arrived to Vancouver they were lifesaving with the help with phone plans, banking and working requirements. Would definitely recommend for a first time or freshly 18 traveller. The time difference is definitely a challenge but once you get over the jetlag, it is a great experience and a great way to make the leap of travelling for the first time.

Pros
  • Helpful with Visa Process
  • Go at your own pace
  • Very Friendly

Global work and travel

I was hesitant at first to go with a company for my working holiday (because of the $$$), but as it was my first time overseas I am glad I did as they provided me with all the knowledge, support and resources I needed to plan my working holiday and get myself to Canada.

Although I ended up applying for jobs separately for my first 6 months just because I wanted to go somewhere the company didn't have partners, my travel coordinator, Mark, was so supportive and helpful along the way. Even with my other job (found outside of GWAT) he would check in every now and then to make sure everything was going smoothly.
For the next part of my trip, I am with GWAT through a partner's subsidiary company and I actually get to use my degree knowledge! I am so excited for this part of the trip and I have Mark to thank for it.

The highlight of this company for me is how reliable and helpful they have been whilst I have been overseas.

Pros
  • reliable
  • feel like you have a friend
  • wealth of knowledge
Cons
  • pricey
