Global

I think Global is a great experience as it helps you with housing, job search and helps you set up all your documents. It helps to show a sign of independence and learn new experiences whilst working in a different country, Make new friends and travel a bit more during this experience. You get connected with a trip co-ordinator. They then help with visas, online applications etc. you then also get a travel Concierge they help with flights as they book flights on your behalf. Soon after you get connected with an arrival accordinator who is located in the country you will be arriving to. They go over jobs, locations and gives you an overview of the country stating the best places to see and visit. Arrival co ordinators will also keep in touch with you until the moment of arriving into the country.

Pros
  • helps with independence
  • great overall experience
  • great for work in a new country

Julie-anne

I had the pleasure of being placed with Julie fort trip. She was nothing short of amazing!! She made the whole process easier by giving great advice and making sure everything was in order especially with things like my visa, she gave me step by step instructions on how to complete it so it gets processed asap! My friend and I were placed with Julie for this experience and both of us have had the easiest transition and had such a great time choosing families with Julie’s help. I can’t recommend her enough!

Pros
  • Amazing cultural experience
  • Networking with so many other Aupairs and making great friendships
  • Travelling

AuPair

I recommend anyone who has a love for children and travel to be an AuPair in a foreign country. You are so well looked after by your manager and any questions you have will be answered. I was worried that I would feel lonely and isolated, but it’s the opposite, you are always included in the family activities if you want too be, they take trips and go away on weekends and you’re invited to come or welcome to stay home and explore. They respect that you are away from home and are open to your needs, there are many different families i came in contact with in all areas, and I chose one that I felt met my needs and what I was looking for. As an Australian the family was very happy to have me teaching their eldest fluent english, and many beach trips. My manager Julie-Anne was very involved and brought me comfort towards the fact there was many other AuPairs in my area that she could connect me with.

Pros
  • Travel
  • Expanding your experience with children
  • New culture, food and family
Cons
  • Language barrier
  • Away from home

Working Holiday in New Zealand

I signed up for work holiday in New Zealand with a friend, and my trip coordinator was Kim Olsen. She was very helpful and friendly through out my entire process leading up to New Zealand, when I arrived in Auckland, and during my journey on the ground.

Kim was always available via email or phone call and always reminded us that she was there to help, she made me feel like I had support even in my most confused moments. Thank you, Kim! :))

I've been in New Zealand for a little over a month and so far am enjoying my experience, and I still have some excursions left to do that is offered through Global Work and Travel. :))

Pros
  • Meet new people also in the programme
  • Built in excursions and tours
  • Help setting up cell phone service and bank account

Great staff

All Global staff have been lovely and been so helpful throughout the whole process. Eimear who was my coordinator was amazing and so kind in response to any questions about the trip. Travelled to Canada, for a job in Jasper, Alberta. Global has loads of partners around Canada and have made me feel like I have loads of opportunities while I am here, even though I have just started! Flew out to Vancouver before travelling to my job, and all of Global's staff were so welcoming and orientation was very helpful for me.

Great Company!

Global have been so easy to work with and took all the stress out of organising my working holiday. Betty was great and super supportive. Would definitely recommend to make the whole thing easy and have access to the whole job application pool. They take the time to get to know you and have so many helpful guides for towns and Canada that help you make decisions on where you want to go and how to adjust to Canadian life. I Loved working with them and the program was great value for money, well worth it.

Pros
  • Great trip coordinators
  • Make the admin process easy
  • Access to great extra benefits
Cons
  • Working with a time difference
  • If the coordinator is off for the day, you have to wait to organise things
  • N/A

Canada Working Holiday

I have received amazing support from my coordinators while getting my working holiday organised and can't wait to spend my summer in Jasper! The visa process was quite complex and it was great to have someone to communicate with to assist with this as well as have someone to ask any general questions, I arrived last night and everything went smoothly. I have been set up with a bank account and Canadian SIM card as well thanks to Global, helping to get settled in even quicker. I highly recommend to anyone looking to have an adventure!

Pros
  • Great support
  • Good value

Japanese in Kyoto

I had an absolutely amazing 6 weeks studying Japanese in Kyoto. I was nervous about travelling by myself to a country that was so far away. But the support I got from the Global Work and Travel team was fantastic. I didn't have to worry about anything. And the friends I met while on the course will be friends for life.
The course itself was well-structured, informative and fun. The senseis were all incredibly friendly and helpful. It has given me a solid foundation from which to continue Japanese through self-study. Would absolutely recommend it. It's four hours a day from Mon-Fri and that leaves plenty of time to explore. We fit so much in!

1 - Housing - 5/5, my accommodation is nicer than I've had working abroad previously;

3 - Fun - 4/5, pretty good! Just a little difficult to go anywhere outside of Jasper, as there isn't any public transport and I don't have a car;

4 - Value - 4/5, I'm a bit older and I've worked overseas previously, this is a great extension to that.

5 - Safety - 5/5, I feel very safe;

10/10 love it! ❤️

Everyone along the way has been super friendly and helpful, always available for any random questions you might have! All the steps were really clear and I didn’t run into any trouble. I found the interview process/family selection straight forward and I didn’t feel like I needed to make a rush decision so I was really happy and have found a perfect family that I feel really safe with! I’m also still in contact with Julie (my trip coordinator) as well, she does regular check ins to make sure you’re still enjoying everything which is really comforting! She’s amazing so glad to have her! Love the new journey I’ve been able to start through global work and travel! X
